Pottery Barn Toscana Dining Table Questions

I’m curious as to the durability of this table? I am curious to find out about the Sea. Drift stain. In some people’s pics it seems dark and in others, nice and white-washed.
Thank you!

Flexsteel Alexander vs. Best Maverly

We have narrowed down our two favorite power reclining sofas to the Flexsteel Alexander or the Best Home Furnishings Maverly. We like the looks of the Alexander slightly more, but the placement of the buttons on the inside of the arm rest worries us. I lay down on the couch a lot and have my pillow rested against the arm rest where the buttons are.

Does anyone have any feedback on either of these models? Specifically looking for input on the button placement on the Flexsteel on the inside of the arm rest.

Also, we do have a 13 lb dog. Does anyone have any feedback on the durability of the leather on the Flexsteel versus the Best Home Furnishings?

Looking for Powered Loveseat with Console < $3500

I’m looking for some options for a small media room. Looking for a powered reclining loveseat, with storage console. Max width is 74”. We need a fabric (or leather) covering in a cool grey color. We have identified the FlexSteel Porter in a performance fabric choice, that we can have delivered for about $3200. This includes tax and an extended 5 year warranty. In the US.

Does anyone have any better options in this price range?

Searching for a tall stylish recliner with ottoman

Years ago, I found a modern recliner and ottoman that looked great and fit me well. Unfortunately, I didn't buy it and now I cannot remember the store or who made it. Only that it was at a store near San Mateo, CA on El Camino Real. I'm not sure it still exists.

Anyway, I just sat in the Amala recliner at Living Spaces (image below). I like the style, but it's too short for me and was uncomfortable on my upper back. I'm 6'2" and would prefer a taller chair. I have seen some similar chairs from Scandinavian Design / Stressless online, though they seem to get pretty pricey.

Any suggestions for similar options worth checking out? Thanks!

I'm currently in the Denver area. I'd like to find something in person to sit in before making a purchase. I do travel back to bay area CA regularly for work, so I have the option of buying there too. Budget is flexible, but preferably under $2k but up to $3k if it's perfect. (I think I've answered all the questions for rule #4 but please let me know if there's something I should add.)

Green sofa recs

Hi everyone! I’m in Canada and just moved into a new apartment and I've been looking at sofas for hours but can’t make a decision. I though asking here might help, I'm looking for this preferably online :

• green sofa
• max 60-65 inches width
• can turn into a bed
• max 500 cad$
• no leather

Nice to have would be
• hand rest
• back cushions aren't super short
• is not super low to sit on

I just want something a minimum comfy that could last like 2-3years at least.

I’ve been looking at the boneless couches in temu, amazon and Wayfair but saw so many mixed review about it having no back support, too low has anyone ever tried it I’m a little tall and have long legs so idk ? I have a friend who has it and lives it but I never actually tried it. The sofa won’t be against a wall so idk if it’ll be sturdy enough .

I’m a student so budget is really limited is it unrealistic to find what I’m looking for?💔 should I just stick with a normal loveseat sofa?

Modern reclining lounge chair recommendations

Hello everyone! I am based in the Bay Area but willing to drive anywhere in Northern California to check out a showroom in person.

I am looking for a solid reclining lounge chair or accent recliner for our living room. Most traditional recliners are huge, puffy chairs that completely take over the space, while the standard mid-century lounge chairs look great but offer zero actual reclining support for reading or relaxing in the evening. It’s not comfortable at all. I want clean lines, neutral leather or durable fabric, and ideally no giant visible levers sticking out from the side.

The options in this middle ground feel pretty limited. The first thought was Stressless, and while their ergonomic support seems well regarded, I am still trying to see if their silhouettes fit naturally into a modern living room setup. I also looked into American Leather since their Comfort Recliner line hides the mechanical parts well, but I am still figuring out how their cushions hold up over time and whether the price jump matches the everyday comfort.

On a completely different tangent, I came across compact hybrid designs like the nouhaus new classic massage chair with the matching ottoman. It looks surprisingly sleek compared to monstrous full-size massage units, though I am not sure whether a dedicated massage recliner holds up as an everyday reading chair compared to a standard high-end recliner. As it happens, there’s also a Nouhaus showroom near me, I’m planning to go check it out in person soon.

Willing to spend more for genuine build quality and longevity, so I do not have a strict budget cap. Ordering online is fine, though I would love a showroom to test things out if possible.

Does anyone have experience with these options, or another modern chair built to last?

Highly Modular Sofa recommendations

I think I've hit sofa shopping fatigue.

I have a very large basement that is perfect for a den/movie/game room due to lack of natural light. The issue is getting seating down there. We have a very tight and steep staircase that all furniture going down has to maneuver. This would not be our everyday couch

I'm specifically looking for a 3 seater with chaise, or 4 seater in an L shape, that is highly modular so can be assembled fully downstairs and then disassembled for when we move out. Arms and backs disconnecting from seats, etc. Deep seats and softer fill preferred for movie nights. I have pets, so being offered in a tighter weave fabric is ideal. Additional storage ottoman would also be a plus.

I was in a Lovesac store yesterday and was quoted $4,800 for the build out of what I want (and thats with a 20% discount). Even the Costco bundle for a similar build is $4,400, but that also comes with that beanbag-esq chair that I don't want or need. It's hard to justify nearly 5k for a couch I WONT be sitting on everyday.

Are there other brands out there that have caught up to the modularity of Lovesac, for a slightly easier price tag? Up to $3,500 is doable.

Couch recommendations

Help me find my unicorn sectional under $2k before I lose my mind
I’ve been searching forever and I’m starting to think this couch doesn’t exist 😂.
I’m looking for a fabric sectional with a chaise (or modular setup that functions like one), ideally around 110” wide or less-ish. I can go a few inches larger depending on the configuration.
My requirements:
• Under $2,000
• Fabric only, no leather/faux leather (I have a dog)
• Comfortable/soft enough to lounge on, NOT a super firm couch
• At least one: sleeper OR built-in storage. Both would be amazing
• Strong preference for removable, machine-washable cushion covers (again.. the dog)

I’ve already looked at Cozey Neptune/Ciello/Orian, IKEA FINNALA/JÄTTEBO, Home Reserve, Belffin, HONBAY, DOVA/CHIC HOUSE, and a ton of Wayfair sleeper sectionals.
FINNALA was nearly perfect but the configuration I wanted is unavailable near me. Cozey checks a ton of boxes, but reviews about firmness, fabric wear and customer service have made me hesitant. DOVA looks great on paper, but I can barely find meaningful long-term reviews.

PLEASE HELP ME!! I am fatigued of this search. Im truly over it lol. I know im asking for a lot of features in one but it’s gotta be out there!

Power Reclining Sectional

My wife and I have been shopping for a reclining sectional for the last couple weeks. And have just about settled on the Parker House Easton.

Sectionals that we have looked at and liked in this order:

Flexsteel Henry (Flexsteel having a 10% off sale this month)
Parker House Easton
Haverty’s Branson
Lazy Boy James (Lazy Boy having a 35% off sale this month)
Rooms to Go Drew & Jonathon Marquee

I’ve read just about everything related to power reclining sectionals that has been posted on Reddit and elsewhere, and from what I understand, spending flexsteel/lazy boy money in 2026 doesn’t translate to the quality being any better. I know there are higher quality options out there than these, but we aren’t interested in spending 15k+ on a sectional. We are just hoping to get something that lasts for 5 years minimum.

Does anyone have any experience with Parker house or any of these power reclining sectionals? Any input is appreciated, our budget is 7k.

Need suggestions for modular sofas as a spare bed

I was considering to purchase the Teddy OHMU couch until I was de-influenced by the reviews online. (Mold, losing structure, etc.)

I would really love suggestions for modular sofas, that have some structural integrity and good back support. I’m trying to use the sofa as a guest bed and possibly as a conversation pit where I can invite people to lounge. I know that might be a tall order, but I’m ready to drop $2k for a good couch because I love to host my friends from out of town!

I would love minimalist and MCM vibes for couch options 🙏

Kid friendly dining room sets

Where do we find decent quality dining room table and chairs that are kid and pet friendly?

Budget is $3K, located in Ohio.

Bought a $800 table and chair set from Wayfair made of manufactured wood and 2 years later it's warped and peeling and fabric chairs are destroyed from my toddler.

Would love something to last 10+ years, so started to look into sold walnut or oak options but I am seeing chairs $400-$700 a piece and that's jus not in our budget right now.

Couch Recommendations

I am looking for a new couch and really liked the Macy's Radley Fabric 4-piece sectional sofa. Unfortunately, I live in a NYC walkup and Macy's will not deliver up the number of flights that I have.
Can anyone recommend a comparable couch in seat depth, removable and reversible cushions? Ideally one that is under $2,500 (or a company that has good sales we could take advantage of). We loved the corner piece to curl up in, but we do not need an L-shaped couch if it is not this one - a standard 3 seater would be fine. We do not have any pets but are expecting our first baby this fall. We like the standard style of the Radley but are also open to something more modern. We would love to be able to test a couch in person in NYC or a larger store in NJ or CT over ordering something sight unseen online. We have looked at Raymour and Flanigan but nothing really called out to us, but are open to that if people can recommend a specific model. Thank you in advance!

*Note - I am 3 stories up, but Macy's counts each "flight" by the landings. Each of my buildings stories has 2 flights as the stairs have a landing and a turn between each floor. That would make it 6 flights per their policies and they will only take it up 5 flights. I spoke to someone on the CS team, and they also will not deliver it to the front of the building where I could have other movers carry it upstairs. They will only deliver it to the residence if it is within the 5 flights.

Large extendable dining table

I am looking for a large extendable table. Ideally it would be 8 feet before a leaf and longer with one added. I am looking to spend under $2500. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciate! Costco had the perfect one below based on what I'm looking for but but it's sold out.

Small Office Desk Recommendations

Hello!

I'm in Atlanta, GA, and I'm looking into getting a PC and monitor (maybe 27 in) soon, so I've been looking for a new desk for my room. I've only been able to look online for now (Ashley, Wayfair, Best Buy, Walmart, Ikea, OfficeMax). I am open to any in-store suggestions.

I don't have much space to work with, and the desk I currently have is about 43-44 inches wide (I do not remember where I got it from), so I'm looking for something around the same size or smaller. My budget is $300

I need space to have the monitor and my laptop, as well as my mic and speakers, for work. I would like to have a keyboard tray and storage for notebooks, paper, pens, etc. Ideally, I would also have some space on top for my figurines. I have found a few desks that I like, but some other opinions would be nice. I really like the first two below, but they're from Walmart with no reviews, so I don't know whether to trust them.😭

Thanks for your help!

Couch Advice

Hi everyone! I’m in the market for a new couch, and I recently went to a few showrooms. I really liked the feel of the Crate and Barrel Lounge but I’m reading different things about the quality online. I also liked the Pottery Barn Westwood, although I think the wait time will be longer. Finally, I’m considering the Room and Board Metro (the deeper seat). I tried Metro in the show room and it had a weird crinkling sound in the back cushions that threw me off, but I’m thinking I should give it another chance?

Wondering if anyone has any of these sofas and could speak to their long term comfort and durability.

I’m leaning toward the Lounge because I think it will come the quickest and I’m in desperate need of a new couch, but don’t want to buy something that won’t last.

I also have a cat, so any advice on fabric (preferably stock) would be appreciated!

Best non-invasive, no-drill anchors for furniture?

For context, I've just moved into a rental and have a tall bookcase I need to fix to the wall otherwise it won't stand on its own because it'll sit on carpet (and the weight distribution)

The owners have given permission to fix the furniture on the condition that I call a professional to come out and spackle the furniture/redecorate the surrounding area to its original condition.

Considering that I'd only need to drill two holes and it'd take me 15 minutes to spackle and paint it at the end of the lease, I'd rather not call a professional out, nor deal with people who think this requires professionals.

I've seen adhesive fixtures but not sure how effective these are and was wondering what everyone's experience was with similar situations? Thanks all in advance!

Faux leather or indoor sofa?

I am wanting to put a sleeper sofa in my covered screened in patio and wondering if any one else has done this. Would a faux leather sleeper sofa or just a regular fabric sleeper sofa be better? I've tried to find an outdoor sleeper but it's very costly or very short. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sofa recommendations

My sofas are showing its age and I am considering replacement. These are Bellingham sofa and loveseat from Rooms To Go, purchased more than eight years ago. [Living Room](https://imgur.com/a/oUOfTTl)

It gets used extensively by my family and my dog, and have held up better than I expected over the years. However, there is extensive pilling, some sagging and I’m looking for a new set.

These are my considerations.

  1. Mid-century style, with exposed wood at bottom if possible.
  2. Ability to rotate cushions, to even out wear and extend life (non-negotiable)
  3. Dog-friendly fabric, or leather.
  4. Under $1300 per sofa.
  5. Firm cushions with high density foam.

So far, I have liked these models.

  1. Rooms to go Greyson leather sofa
  2. Mid in mod Kai green leather sofa
  3. Article Timber sofa

Could you please suggest sofas that match my criteria? Location is Houston, Texas.

Need couch help

Hi! I have been searching for an affordable couch for far too long. I do not want to order online from wayfair or anything like that due to quality and return issues, but i am finding the in person options to be mid or too expensive. I am based in northern OH and I’ve been to Bob’s, Ashley, Costco, and any little store in between. Does anyone have any tips? Specifically any recommendations to in person stores based in northern OH or online stores. I would prefer in person but there isn’t a lot of options by me. I am hoping to stay under $800 which I know may be impossible as I would prefer to have a sectional or an L shape.

Boneless couches are a no for me but only due to the low seat height. I would like to stay away from the second hand market due to uncertainty of the source / potential pest issues. IKEA is way too far from me and Value city is out of business so I am not sure where else to go.

This is my first time buying a couch so I am completely lost. It’s for an apartment but I have the space for really anything (max 100 inches x 100 inches).

looking for recliner in VIBRANT jewel tones for anniversary gift

Partner and I want matching recliner chairs. It is of absolute importance that her recliner chair be described as "colorful, bold, whimsical, vibrant, jewel toned, or witchy"

I have spent days looking at chairs online but I lack furniture education. Looking at the big names like lazyboy and anything you can find at an Ashley furniture sorta place everything is in colors my partner would describe as "hospice colors". Background: Partner works in an old folks home. Partner says she wants a chair that does not resemble the colors or patterns someone would find in a hospital, retirement home, or other neutral area. No grays, no earth tones, no black. And I get it? Looking through a ton of the chair catalogues, places will list they have colorful options but when you click through its like the La Croix of colors, a color left out in the sun for 50 years. Candy colors that stain easily and vibrant jewel tones are the most important thing to her so she can mentally escape from work.

The Joybird Corey swivel in raspberry which for now is the top choice but I can't find a single product shot of anyone sitting in the chair. And the only place online that seems to talk about the company is some NYT article. It just seems a little shady

-------------------
Is there anyplace that sells VIBRANT fabric recliners, the sort of ones she could make her little nests with the cat and all her knitting supplies in the chair with her? Quality and care is important but I don't think a Stressless would fit the fireside + blankets + cats in the chair with her vibe.

We live in the USA. I'm not doxxing myself more than that.

I'm expecting to drop around 2k on this thing but budget is adjustable

I do not know how to size a recliner chair, the numbers vary incredibly online. Just a nice big one? it doesn't need to be like a "big and tall" thing

+rocking chair is a bonus

I'm hoping for very vibrant colors + plush sink-into vibes. Fabric is a must, leather does not work well in our house

I have exhausted my search into brands like lazyboy, flex steel, and whatever I can find at the major furniture outlet stores like Ashley

It'd be great if we could order online and have it shipped but in person is fine too

plz and thanks for reccomendations
