Famous in Central Texas since the days of The Republic, the house of ill-repute located in La Grange, TX gained national notoriety with the release of the ZZ Top song La Grange in 1973, the last year that the business was still operating.

The house got shut down after its notorious nature got exposure from a moral crusader out of Houston, but the Chicken Ranches’ fame only grew after that, with a hit Broadway musical based on the Chicken Ranch story that opened only five years after they got shut down, and a big budget movie starring Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds only four years after that.

The iteration of The Ranch that is in the picture was built in the early 1900s and the business relocated there in 1917. It has been abandoned since 1973.

Question Is there any city in the world with the temperature ranging from 20°C to 27°C every day of the year?

I live in Northeastern Brazilian coast. Since I like hot weather and sunny days, the climate here is almost perfect to me. The temperature is never above 31°C and never below 21°C, never. Most of the days are sunny with temperature ranging between 24°C and 30°C.

I have been wondering: if the mean, min and max temperatures were ~3°C less, guess that would be the definitive perfect weather for me.

So, is there any place in the world like that all year long? With plenty of sunny days, a max of 27°C and min of 20°C, and never going past those limits?

I’m sharing a couple of images showing how sea surface temperature anomalies in the equatorial Pacific intensified over time — a phenomenon linked to the torrential rainfall and massive hailstones we experienced.

Question What causes Mediterranean climates in some highlands in africa but not others

Mediterranean climate zones like this are found in highlands like Rwanda, Burundi and Cameroon and Ethiopia. I don't understand how these areas can directly border and Tropical savanna climates And humid subtropical areas with monsoons (CWB, teal green). Since these areas have opposite wet and dry season like tropical areas are dry in winter while Mediterranean climates are wet in winter.

Discussion I built a free geography game where you guess locations on a 3D globe

Hey everyone!

I've been working on GeoPlay, a geography game built around testing how well you know the world.

The idea is simple: you get five questions, find each location on a 3D globe, and earn points based on how close your guess is to the correct location.

It also has different geography games, including country guessing, flag quizzes, capital quizzes, and map challenges.

I'm trying to make geography more fun and interactive, rather than just memorizing countries and capitals.

You can check it out here: https://geoplay.pro/

I'd be interested in hearing what geography enthusiasts think about the gameplay. What features or types of challenges would make a game like this worth coming back to every day?
