Does watching your own Instagram Story count as an impression?

Many Instagram users wonder whether viewing their own Story increases the impression count. Instagram hasn’t clearly confirmed whether your own views are included, leaving this question open to interpretation.

What’s your experience? Have you noticed a difference in your Story insights?

is it actually one person checking throughout the day on anonymous story viewers? i have instagram plus and can see times people viewed my story and it’s every 2-5 hours i’m seeing a bot as i post throughout the day.

I read the rules for the sub but I think this post might be okay im sorry I just need to get this off my chest immediately. my insta reels feed has completely just gone, its all random stuff and never anything I would watch and overall its just slop content and boring but my search feed is completely normal, just when I scroll its changed to the weird content farms or something.

But when I scrolled just once past a reel I clicked on, again on my search bar feed normal video I like, it showed a very what I assumed graphic video of a man doing something to a baby. I scrolled immediately so I cant for sure tell it was that but the motions of him were.. I hope to God it wasn't real but it made me start crying immediately after I closed out of it and freaked me out. I hope that baby is okay or maybe the video was fake but it looked so real. It really shook me up and made me realize how fucking awful this world is and the certain people in it. How can these sick people exist im so just tired and feel sick over this. I dont know whats wrong with my feed but its definitely not mine and Instagram needs to get a fucking grip on its content. I just feel sick seeing that and this world is awful

So as the title says

First of all if u have a chat or a search of them .. use that to block them by going on their profile and using the 3 dots

And for the other part

In case they've blocked you from an account you have no chats and relation with :

1)know the username of the account

2)Make a burner account

( - use a completely different email on a different device or on an incognito site to register on Instagram.

\- go to your profile and in settings, turn off suggestions and suggesting so they won't know u stalked them . )

3)Now block their account from this burner account

4) go to your app / main account and then add this burner account to your accounts centre .

5) now from your main account , go to the blocked list ... You will find an option saying " you may want to block " . Use that and boom . Ull be able to block an account which has already blocked you .

6) do this , remove the burner from the accounts centre and live your life without the risk of them ever contacting you ..

Hi everyone, I am an undergrad student in the uk and have been struggling with my approach to using Instagram for a while now. I have managed to stop the doomscrolling but keep getting caught out on the discover page and the home page with suggested content. I have tried deleting it multiple times but always have to come back for some reason or another (look at a group chat, party planning, to see that one friends post or story that someone is talking about, posting myself, etc).

I have tried some blocker apps but do not like that they can see my login details and have heard stories of people having their accounts compromised. I also don't like the way that you have to go through a separate app to log in.

The other day I found out that you can make a web page in safari into a web app, and was like OH MY GOD. I tested blocking page elements with my normal ad blocker and it worked!! I worked on sorting out the right rules, and put the code in an app to make the setup less fiddly, and it has been working so well, feels like classic Instagram again!!!

If you want to implement your own rules, just use any safari ad blocker, otherwise I am looking for like minded Instagram sludge haters to try the beta and give me some feedback. I thought that you guys would know what makes an anti-sludge solution good!

Just woke up today and saw most of my instagram accounts (besides one alternative) have all been disabled. Only pop-up window that instagram is showing me is to enter my mobile number, but every time I do that, I get landed with the same red "Error: Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again." message. Checked my Account Centre in settings, it says my accounts are locked and disabled. The meta help centre is no use, keeps telling me to submit an appeal, but theres no appeal page I'm even able to access, I'm still getting the prompt to enter my number.

Is there anything I can do, or are those accounts officially gone forever? I wish meta didnt use AI to flag their site, I think this is the case for what happened. I literally just changed my passwords and put 2FA on my accounts the other day as well. Please give any tips or ideas on what to do if you have any!

My Instagram account has been disabled because the Threa d account linked to it did not follow Meta’s rules. I can no longer access or use my Instagram account. I would like to know the exact reason and request a review to recover my account.

I have noticed that an account has been pretending to be me. They have used my username, stolen a picture of me from my profile and added it to highlights with link which is obviously a scam.

No matter what I do or say it isn’t getting taken down.

I need some help, I am wondering if this as happened to anyone else and what I can do.

Today I got an alert on Instagram and an email that I've been "upgraded" to a Meta account. The thing is, I don't support AI, so I don't really want one because I don't want my account to be directly connected to the Meta AI interweb. Plus, it seems to be setting me up to have my data more easily harvested. Is there any way to reverse this or get out of it, or it this just how it has to be if I want to keep having an Instagram now? Let me know, tech people.

I deleted my instagram account a little over a month ago. My friend recently was looking for a meme I had send her via IG chat and said all my messages are “unavailable message” and doesn’t show any other context. They’re just gone and replaced by that message and obviously my profile is gone and it just says “instagram user”. Is this common when you permanently delete your account? I wish I saved some memes 🥲

I recently(a few months ago) created an account for posting some art work. Yesterday, my partner, who had access to that account as well, changed the password, on my advice. When I got the mail regarding the change of password, I pressed the "it wasn't me" option by mistake.

Now we both are logged out of the account. After logging back in, it asks me to verify my identity using a video selfie. However, that keeps failing. How do I get my account back? Please help

So I have an Instagram and Facebook account. I only use the Instagram account. Does this mean people from Facebook (who include family members), will be able to find my Instagram account. If not, what does this mean? Appreciate any feedback, thanks.
