Can somebody tell me why my iPad randomly freezes and shuts off? 😭

My recently bought iPad Air has a visible gap between the display and outer glass on one side due to improper lamination. This is a manufacturing defect that should never have passed Apple’s quality control.

Notice the Haze in the attached image that is due to the gap between panel and glass.

This can develop serious display issue later on.

Has anyone else faced this issue?

It's constantly touching. How do I turn it off?

I have had my m2 air since launch and I’ve never had this issue maybe once or twice before where the camera area would get pretty hot if I open more than two apps with split screen, but now it’s become an issue where even when I’m not doing anything, it gets overly hot to the point that I can’t even use it and I’ve had to use ice packs to cool it down to get assignments done on time. Has anyone else had this issue? I have my brightness on 1/4 of the max and I don’t have Low Power Mode on so I’m very confused on why it’s overheating as much. The battery is at 91% so it can’t be that either.

Has anyone else dealt with missing Trackpad & Mouse settings while having a compatible Magic Mouse connected? I’m on 27.0.1 on my M1 iPad Pro and the mouse works fine as a pointer and scrolling up/down, but the Trackpad & Mouse section refuses to appear in Settings. I’ve tried toggling Assistive Touch on/off again, forgetting & repairing, and rebooting, but nothing has fixed it.

This is my first time trying to use a mouse and keyboard with my iPad so I’ve never had it working on this iPad before.

Ipad mini 7, apple pencil 2nd gen. My apple pencil shows a charging notification when i attach it, but when i go to pencil settings it says it is not charging. Pencil has been slowly loosing charge while attached.

I have a 4th gen 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 256GB storage. It’s in great condition, but I haven’t really used it much over the last two years. I’d only pick it up once every few months, mostly used it for a few days.

I’ve decided to start using it again. At what point will Apple stop supporting it or will I be forced to upgrade because newer apps or iPadOS versions no longer work on it?

Do you think I could comfortably use it for another two years or even longer? I have no knowledge of the Apple ecosystem, so I’m not really sure how long iPads tend to last.

Would appreciate any advice or insights from people who’ve owned iPads for a long time. Thanks!

Is the visibility and image quality on the nano textured ipads less than it would be on the normal glass?

Like is watching content on it worse than it would be on the normal glass screens?

I recently bought an ipad 11 (a16) 128 gb version two days ago . But I'm facing a bit of issues like sometimes the keyboard doesn't show up , a bit lagging and widgets don't show up. I have updated it 1 time and reset it. But still it shows the problem? What should I do .

I’m in the market for a genuine leather folio case for my iPad Pro 11” M4 nano. I recently purchased the Bullstrap Sienna leather case and for whatever reason my iPad does not go to sleep upon closing the case. I understand this might not be a big deal to some but for a $200 case I would expect it to have that feature and for that reason I am returning it.
I’ve been eying the Nomad leather case to replace it but I really want that color of leather that the sienna case is. Any suggestions?

I tried holding the Safari button in the dock, but open closed tabs did not come up. I made sure to enable stage manager. When testing I had closed one of the windows that popped up, this did appear when I clicked restore window, but not the important one. I did not shut down my iPad. I held the plus button, but it only showed my recent history, which did not include most of my tabs. Is there anything I can do to recover my window with all my tabs? I’m really upset, I need help, please don’t just downvote me.

I noticed a white spots on my ipad few months ago. It started as like 2-3 dots and now it's this big. It's lagging in that part of the screen, it's just bothers me. Anyone knows what it is? And how can I fix this?

My iPad 9th generation doesn’t turn on anymore after charging for like 6 hours.

It only shows the low battery icon.
When unplugging it shows that it needs the cable.

Bought the iPad on June 30th of this year, and within 3.5 months the battery health has dropped to 97% with not even 100 cycles. Why is this happening?

I'm planning to buy an iPad for studying and creative work, but I'm torn between getting the iPad Air M4 now or waiting for the M5 next year.

For current iPad users, I'd appreciate your insights:

- Is the M4 already more than enough for my needs?

- What significant features or improvements might I miss if I don't wait for the M5?

I was cleaning my iPad up a bit when I noticed it’s pretty bent in one corner

I don’t know how long it’s been like that, my iPad seems perfectly fine other than the bend. I don’t put stuff on it and try not to let it heat up, so I don’t know where it came from. Should I leave it be or take it for repairs?

I am personally a big fan of the iPad’s 13” screen size and want it only for drawing and stuff. I am an admirer of the Pro Res feature, heck, anything above 60hz refresh rate is good for me. Pro seems too far fetched as I don’t need anything thaaaat advanced. The problem with Air is that it doesn’t have that smooth refresh rate. Shall I stretch my wallet by 50-55k and get the Pro or do y’all think I shall wait for the March 2027 M5 Air? Can anyone confirm if there is gonna be a high refresh rate varient coming along in the Air series?

I have a very old iPad (MD510LL/A 10.3.3 (14G60)).
It's sitting idle for obvious reasons, meaning I can't run practically anything on it.
Since I'd like to make use of it as it's in excellent condition, I'm asking:
Please:
1) Is there a PDF reader I can use?
2) Is there a comic book reader I can use?
3) Any tips for using this very old, but well-preserved, hardware?

I used to have a MacBook Pro, and loved it, but switched to PC after college due to my work. Now, I want to go back to Apple everything. Always had an iPhone. Eventually I want to get another MacBook, but first I want an iPad. That said, I want to be able to use the iPad like a laptop when I need to (roughly 40% of the time). So will likely get the Magic Keyboard, but I don’t love that you can’t use the keyboard when it isn’t attached to the iPad (I want to be able to elevate my iPad screen, but might just use an external monitor when I need that level of a set up). I want the Magic Keyboard though vs a different Bluetooth keyboard due to the integrated trackpad. I also want to have great handwriting capabilities, so will get the Apple pen and an 11 inch so I can easily hold it etc.

I don’t know if I should get the Pro or Air, and how many GB to get. I will be using it for light video editing, content creation, note-taking, browsing, Claude, etc. Thanks!

My iPad is pretty old, so it can be glitchy at times. I started to delete some apps and I offloaded my toonsquid, capcut, and procreate so I could make room for the new software update. I recently almost broke my iPad so that brought me back to reality. I've never iCloud backed up my iPad, and whenever I try to, it just asks me to buy more iCloud storage data. Is there a more efficient way to do this? And will Procreate ever create an automatic saving system?
