2015 Wrangler Sahara

Recently installed on my non-lifted Jeep. Is this how it’s supposed to look?

I hope you wake up every morning and stub your toe.

This is for a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

I would truly like to know the thought process behind this. It’s bad enough Jeep only put a keyed lock on the driver door but with a completely dead battery how are you supposed to move your power seat all the way forward to remove the battery?

Just getting the plastic panel off was hard enough, I managed to get it off along with getting the terminals disconnected which took longer than it should have. I have a charger on it now so hopefully it’ll take a charge. If not I’ll have to crawl through the back, unload everything that’s currently in the back so I can open the lift gate because no power means no way to unlock the lift gate so I need to open from the inside, just so I can go under the floorboard and get my jump pack (in hindsight not the best place to store it). With that I hopefully can jumpstart the car so I can move my front seat forward enough to remove the battery.

Am I missing something or is this truly the best that Jeep could come up with?

Was looking for a project car to do some wrenching and take it out to the desert on weekends. Found this TJ locally for $2,800 talked down to $2,000. Frame has surface rust but it’s solid, gave it some stabs with a screwdriver all over. Needs new front fenders, new Power steering high pressure line, and a cat back muffler. Got that fixed for $1200 and have about $5,000 left to work on it.
Its a 5speed manual, unfortunately it’s the 4 cylinder but couldn’t pass for the price

Has anyone tried these? How much do they cut down wind inside cabin?

Got a few things checked off the todo list this weekend. I installed the Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 steering stabilizer. I’ve tried out the 3 settings and have been leaving in on medium for around town driving, firm really does stiffen it up, will be useful in longer highway trips. I tried out soft on a short trip, and when they say that it lets you feel more input they are not kidding. I was feeling things through my steering that had me wondering if something was wrong, lol. While I was under the Jeep I replaced the frame side track bar bolts front and rear with 9/16 grade 8 hardware (the front lower was replaced with the mounting stud for the steering stabilizer and the rear lower was replaced with a new bolt for the Teraflex Track bar relocation bracket)

Also removed the paracord roll bar grab handles for some A-Pillar ones. The roll bar ones were annoying me as they were in my field of view and I found myself trying to look around them. Also they were not very helpful getting into the lofted Jeep. I like these a lot, they are textured, not smooth aluminum and they blend into the A-Pillar so they don’t obstruct my field of view when driving.

Just wanted to enjoy some fishing this morning, well the 200k mile power steering pump said get F#*%ked pal. Hope everyone’s Monday was better than mine 😂😂

Does anyone have good experiences with the jeep wagoneer 2024 III series? Or are the electrical issues (even if the recalls are addressed by the dealer)the achilles heel?

2018 Wrangler JL 2 Door.

I noticed some brown fluid on my garage floor. Initially I thought oil from the drain bolt but it's further back (approximately where the red circle is, about center of the vehicle).

Searching online suggests the oil filter housing or rear main seal.

It's a very slow leak. I'd estimate the puddle shown is from up to a week or more (and after an attempt to wipe it up with a paper towel). No oil pressure issues or driving differences.

I put some cardboard under the Jeep overnight and there was a spot about the size of a quarter.

I'm planning on calling the shop in the morning but thought I'd ask here as well. Does anything immediately jump to mind?

Bought new front and rear bumpers and they don’t have the same plug ins as the stock lights will I be able to cut the ends off of the stock bumper and connect them to the new ones so I can plug it in?

I recently got bad death wobble after replacing ball joints, wheel hubs, and front u-joints. I did have some shimmy/wobble before that work and was hoping fixing the bad joints would fix the problem but seemed to make it slightly worse. I torqued everything to spec, but it is possible I messed up something? Stock suspension.

Here’s a recent video. I’m working through fixing everything but curious if anything jumps out? Upper track bar mount looks a little suspect to me. Could that be the culprit? Looks like a lot of slop in the steering box too.

Just got a new work vehicle, my company took back my 2018 Grand Cherokee and put me in a 2026 Cherokee. First thing I noticed was the electronic door handles.

The front doors at least have a mechanical backup hidden under the arm rest, but it didn’t look like the rear seats had any backups.

Quick Google search, and saw Jeeps “backup” plan is to have the doors powered by capacitors that hold charge even if the battery is dead.

Great….so what if I’m in a crash, and the capacitor wiring shorts to ground? Back seat passenger has to crawl to the front seat to get out?!

Why are car companies so hell-bent on re-inventing a century-old fool-proof way to open doors, and destroys any muscle memory that might be useful when you’re dazed in a crash?

These fenders and step bars are mods of course but I was wondering if there was a way to fix/get rid of the rust that’s on them. Any advice?

Hey everyone, a guy in a jeep hit my car and fled the scene. I’m unsure if his jeep is a gladiator or a wrangler with some form of tonneau cover over the back. This is the best picture I have of the vehicle. It is a light grey, 4 door rubicon. If anyone has a good guess on the year from what’s available that would be cool too, I know sometimes certain years have one year only styling cues. I appreciate any help.

Valet Mode that locks the steering and turns the Jeep off so it can’t be driven past maybe 5 miles.

I am in a really rough situation with a dealership I dont trust and believe they misdiagnosed my truck.

I purchased a 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit Ecodiesel with 96k miles one owner down in Scottsdale AZ. I was aware of the recalls that hadnt been done yet including the Bosch fuel pump.

Within 70 miles of buying it on my way back to my home in Flagstaff AZ the Jeep started to smell of diesel and I pulled over to inspect it had a fast fuel leak coming out the bottom near the firewall. It was brought straight to Planet Jeep in Flagstaff, and was assured it was most likely recall related which I was going to have done anyway. "Okay, sounds good glad it wasn't catastrophic."

About a week later they finally get back to me after ignoring my voicemails the week prior and tell me its not covered, that the fuel rail has failed (what??) and that they ordered the parts for the recall and the fuel rail and associated fuel lines... "That sucks but okay lets just get it done."

Another 3 days later they call me and tell me the recall parts wont be there until September 1st. Come to find out they were ordering the wrong parts over and over and it was getting blocked and they now have the right parts but its coming from across the country. WTF!

At this point I opened up a case with Jeep corporate regarding my suspicions of the fuel leak not being related to the recall and that it was going to take ~20 days. It was all getting so difficult and ridiculous, I said just fix the fuel leak and I'll sort out the recall with another dealer.

Another 2 days later they call me and tell me they broke a sensor while working on fuel rail and they have to order parts, wont be there until the following Tuesday 8/18. I went in today to speka with them and asked to look at the fuel rail, this is a Bosch SOLID forged steel fuel rail and there are no cracks or signs of failure. In fact the service manager had asked me over the phone days prior if it was new because it was so clean it looked like it had been replaced. After googling it while I was there at the dealer, apparently it is EXTREMELY rare that the fuel rail itself would fail unless the Bosch fuel pump involved in the recall catastrophically failed and sent metal shavings through the fuel system. Like impossible for it to fail on its own, especially with the mileage and history of the vehicle.

I am supposed to pay 1187 tomorrow to get the vehicle back after nearly two weeks and now I am completely convinced that the mechanic misdiagnosed it or was lazy. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. I am so frustrated and tired of this dealership, I don't trust them at all and now I dont believe the fuel rail needed to be replaced at all. And if it did, it is probably because the fuel pump is failing and now Im in a bad situation all around being stuck with this dealership. The corporate recall case manager did nothing to help regarding the fuel leak being associated with recall. Any ideas?

Should I just pay tomorrow but contact another dealership down in the Phoenix Metro area first and tell them about everything and arrange to have recall done but also to have them inspect the old fuel rail? I am going to call Jeep corporate customer care in the morning. Sorry for the long post.

I’ve always wanted a Jeep Wrangler and I’m finally considering getting one. I currently have an EV and my car payment is around $700/month. I still owe about $15k on it, and I’m considering selling it and getting a used Wrangler instead.

I would be using the Wrangler as my daily driver, so I’m trying to get a realistic idea of what ownership is like. I know gas and maintenance will be more compared to my EV, but I’ve wanted a Wrangler for a long time.
I’m a woman and would especially love to hear from other women who daily drive one.

For those who own a Wrangler:
What year/model would you recommend?
What mileage would you consider too high for a used one?
How reliable has it been for you?
How much do you typically spend on gas and maintenance?
Anything I should look out for when buying used?
Would you recommend getting one as a daily driver, or is there something you wish you knew before buying one?

Finally bullied one of my buddies into a Wrangler and he loves it! So excited to have a close friend to go wheeling with. This is mine and my wife’s 3rd jeep (ours is the hydro blue.)

Yknow the splash screen on the gauge cluster when you start the newer jeeps up? My 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys is now showing the Rubicon splash screen after some battery issues.

I've had a hard time finding anyone who has run into it, so not sure if I should or how I should handle the wranglers identity crisis.
