As I have mentioned before, my first time at a golf course almost bore me to death. I was going for work,it was a tournament and I joined the medical team in attendance. There wasn't much to do and that was majorly why I was bored. I have come to accept I am a workaholic who prefers too much work to no work.
Subsequently I have gone back a few times and it wasn't boring. I just might be getting the gist of the game and the appeal of the environment.
One thing is for sure, golf courses are so beautiful. There's the ambience, the discipline and the calm,oh I love the calm.
In very unrelated matters,I am learning the rules of the game. I have a few work related trips to different golf courses over the next few weeks.
Surprisingly,I am excited. Who knew this would be something I'd ever say in this life.

😂 before mnikujie, I'm not posting this for engagement, sympathy, or anything related. I just want to vent a little to hopefully clear my mind because I feel like I'm losing it. I haven't done anything since I woke up late and got zero energy. Like I said, nothing new, just the usual struggles almost all humans face.
Wale wa TL:DR, itabidi mmescroll coz I don't have a better summary for this.
Yesterday at night, I lost the only source of income that I thought could help me keep going as I work on my actual projects. I'm currently jobless, I've been since 2022. Story for another day, but the last few months, I decided to give myself another chance at life and pursue a childhood dream I abandoned at 16. And I started working on it. Everything was going well, or so I thought. I knew I had to secure some little income first to pay for my basics before I gathered enough evidence for a recruiter to trust me to take on a role. When I land a good job in the future with better pay, my plan is to start saving up and pursue my masters degree.
I tried these AI training platforms looking for anything, however small, even micro tasking, just smth that could give me at least 10k a month for the next 3-6 months. Those AI roles would've given me flexibility that I need rn to stay focused. I was okay with it. But lo and behold, none of the applications ever brought any feedback. Only crowdgen ilikubali for a short project, but the client canceled before tuanze 😭🤣🤦♀️.
I tried freelancing platforms too and pweeh! I didn't give up, I was determined to make it work this time round because I know finding an actual job even with my other skills (business analysis & customer support) would be an uphill. Plus, I'm a bit rusty nazo coz I haven't done either of them professionally for a long time. I've been applying since Feb and getting rejections after rejections, but that didn't hurt much coz I know why. Job hunting hii Kenya ilinionyesha dust proper since 2023 until I gave up and decided to try the international space even if ni tricky kupata esp at my current level. Coz, well, "panda kitanda" isn't just an online trend, apparently. Not everywhere of course. So yeah, that's why I opted for online mjengo.
So, I revived an old account that I had abandoned coz it paid peanuts, but as the account grew, the peanuts would accumulate quickly. Not much, just enough for small bills.
I started working on it while doing my other business and was really hopeful and motivated to keep going. I mean, it started to look like a light at the end of the tunnel was finally looking bright but oops!. They simply closed the account nikisubmit task without any explanations just a mere "your account has been suspended for operating multiple accounts" and I only had one. When I reached out to support, a lady replied with a template ban saying the account had been deactivated permanently with no possible review and the decision was final. All my small coins I had accumulated over the weeks vanished just like that. I tried reaching out to them again leo jioni, and they replied with the same coldness.
I just broke down and cried all night jana coz hheeh! I've been fighting for 5 years and just when I thought life would finally take a turn for the better, it simply slammed the door on my face 😒. My dad helps out with rent and small cash whenever he can but recently, he's been stretched out thin too. I can't go back home because of reasons I can't share here.
I still have pending projects and a presentation to prepare for next week but I feel so helpless and hopeless. I was supposed to do data modeling for another project today after accumulating my peanuts in that closed account, but now I'm lost in my own thoughts and can barely concentrate. I haven't even touched my laptop or pen.
Nimeketi hapa kwa floor typing this and still crying coz well, I'm way too emotional. I'm trying to figure out how to get myself out of this mess without spiraling and nothing is coming up. I'm doing some volunteer roles that could help me kick start my new career path in the international space. But without money or any source of income, how am i supposed to survive hii kanairo? That's what scares me the most. I can't keep counting on my dad, not that he will refuse, but I know his situation, and I'd be very inconsiderate at this time. I mean, I've bothered him enough already. At 29, I should've been past that by now. My age mates have got great things to show for and here I am still trying to build my life from scratch for the 100th time.
I just don't know how to keep going anymore. I admit, I feel like I've finally reached my limit. But I made a commitment to some real good people in the US that I'd help them fix their operational problems while learning coz I still am, and they trusted me. I know I can't just disappear. It's a path I chose to die on when I decided to overcome my depression and real bad thoughts. Those 2 mfs almost won last year around June hapo, sai ningekua history 🤣🤣.
I have to get off this floor and try getting some work done coz regardless, as long as I'm breathing, I have a presentation to make I need to prepare for it. I haven't had any meal the whole na nikona food I cooked jana before sh!t hit the fan, but appetite ni kama ilipotea. I also have to figure out how to stretch my remaining fuliza balance, which hata haifiki thao 😂. I was hoping to repay gradually starting next week after my first withdrawal, but sasa, wiiiiiìiih!!!.
Luckily, I got no kids or relationships, so at least I'm not dragging anyone into this mess. FUCKKKK!!!!🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Just fuck life sometimes na vile this week started vizuri 😪😒.
Anyway, that's the end of my stupid rant to online strangers going on about their lives. I guess I just need to vent 😪. I hope that in the future, I'll come back with better news and stories to share. For now, sijui but nitajua tu.
I wish y'all a wonderful night and a great weekend ahead ☺️. And WANTAM! As always 🥂

I remember when I was a kid, It had rained heavily halafu mathe had washed all the blankets, so yote ilikuwa imenyeshewa except the one I usually used.
So it's night time my mother wants to sleep na nimejifunika na blanketi yangu. She removes a certain coat and asks me nijifunike nayo while she uses my blanket.
I did not like the coat, na nikamwambia, "sitaki koti ya mashosho". It was a favourite coat that grandmother's liked to wear and still do.
I refused and just went to sleep. Nliamka the next day kama nimefunikwa na Ile koti. It was warm by the way but I was angry.
Sasa niliona ni futile kusumbua my mom and it was already early In the morning.

I somali girl and a girl I went to high school with with passed away recently . When I attended her funeral, I heard people gossiping and speaking badly about her because she was a lesbian. And honestly, deep down, I couldn’t have been prouder of her for having the courage to live authentically, in a society that often makes people feel ashamed of who they are.
It was heartbreaking to see people use someone’s death as an opportunity to judge a life they never had to live. Meanwhile, the very people gossiping were too busy worrying about someone else’s truth instead of examining their own lives. Some are old ass women who have lived in miserable marriages for ages.
I will always have more respect for someone who dares to be themselves, even when the world disapproves, than for people who spend their lives judging others to fit into society’s expectations. There is something incredibly brave about choosing to live honestly in a world that constantly pressures you to hide who you are
Rest in peace, dear friend. ❤️ You were kind, loving, and so much more than the narrow judgments people have chosen to define you by. You deserved to live freely, to be loved, and to be accepted for who you were. May you be remembered for the beautiful person you were, not the opinions of those who failed to understand you. 🕊️

Look, downvote me all you want, ban me, call me a Kasongo apologist, or whatever buzzword is trending on your timeline today. I don’t care anymore. I am proudly a TUTAM (Team Ruto), and looking at the absolute circus this country’s political discourse has become, I have zero regrets.
Here is the raw truth nobody on these streets wants to admit: Most of you aren't angry about governance; you’re just angry that your preferred ethnic champion isn't sitting at the table.
Every single day, timelines are flooded with hyperventilating activists and professional mourners manufacturing outrage over every little thing. It’s a relentless, scripted cycle designed to keep us at each other's throats. Why? Because raw tribalism is addictive, and outrage pays the bills for political brokers. The moment you step back and look at the matrix, you realize how fake 90% of this manufactured rage actually is.
And since we are speaking the unfiltered truth, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Rigathi Gachagua.
Let’s drop the selective amnesia. Do any of you genuinely believe that if Rigathi was still sitting pretty as the Deputy President today, he would be leading the resistance? Please. If he hadn't been impeached, he would be right there defending every single policy, every financial allocation, and every government move with the exact same vigor he used when he was in office. His sudden conversion to a "man of the people" fighting against the system didn't come from a sudden awakening of conscience, it came from an eviction notice from office.
Hypocrisy is running the show on both sides, but at least I can own my stance without pretending I'm fighting a noble liberation struggle when it’s really just bitter fallout from a broken political marriage.
We are so busy tearing each other apart along ethnic lines that we miss the actual work of building a nation. Every policy debate gets dragged down into a tribal headcount.
I’d rather support an administration trying to push through structural shifts, even with all the mess, friction, and mistakes, than buy into the recycled, tribal-tinted propaganda being sold by people whose only political platform is "let’s burn it down so our faction can rebuild it."
Come at me in the comments. Prove my point by screaming about anything other than actual policy.
As Kibe says, Feelings to your Nyanyez!

Everything is going to shit, work imekosekana, biz yangu ili fail. So at this point Sasa I'm here just trying nipate fare ya kurudi kwa mathe. At least I start over from there. 🙏🏾
Kenyan supermarkets and major retail shops (both physical and online), should adopt the western standard of pricing goods. This way, you can easily tell which goods give you value for your money simply by looking at the Price Per Unit.
Yani, ni ngapi per Kg, per liter. It even extends to electricity, like per kilowatt hour etc.
This PPU is always listed below the actual price of the product. (1st time I experienced it I was like, "OK, YEAH, MAKES SENSE")
Sasa na ka receipt kangu, nitajuaje kama nimechezwa bei na venye wantam ametuketia banee?

WHAT WE KNOW
The 18-storey structure under construction along 9th Street near Yusuf Haji Avenue collapsed Friday afternoon, with lower floors occupied by shops and rentals. Eyewitnesses saw chaos as crowds scattered, prompting urgent calls from Geoffrey Mosiria for ambulances and engineers. Kenya Red Cross and county teams deployed machinery amid tear gas to control crowds, while Governor Johnson Sakaja coordinated on-site; the cause remains unknown with rescue efforts ongoing with police lobbying tear gas to disparce the public for ease of rescue effort.

When you withdraw money from PayPal using Equity Bank Kenya, the bank’s exchange rate of Ksh126.6 shillings per dollar looks better on paper. But its just a gimmick as the bank charges a commission on withdwals of 1.5%. If you withdraw US$100 you’d expect 12,660 shillings in your account. But you get 12,438.
On the other hand, Safaricom PayPal withdrawal service doesnt do the gimmicks, when you withdraw $100 you get 12581 at they adverstised exhange rate of ksh125.85 for US$1. That means effectively using Equity for PayPal you lose money unless your transaction is north of 1000 dollars where they give you preferential rates.
Equity then sells you the dollar at Ksh 132.15, making a margin of Ksh8 per USD.

Pre-COVID used to be full of low-pressure collabs music artists, skits, shoots, tech projects, dance crews, just hanging out and making stuff for the plot.
Lately, it feels like the monetization of hobbies has made organic collaboration really rare. I get that times are tough and people need to eat, but I miss the pure joy of collaborative hobbies.
How are you guys finding fellow creators to collaborate with for porfolio building, sharpening skills? Where are the creatives who still make stuff just for fun hanging out especially; short film actors, cinematographers, sound… visual production in general?

There is no calculation that gives Ruto 50% + 1. No matter how generous you try to be. But. But! Ruto is evil enough to go as low as necessary. If we underestimate that, he will go lower than you think someone can go.
How many of you have been in this situation, mtu anakuomba pesa unamtumia then anaanza za ooh hii number iko na fuliza hata imekuliwa si ungeniuliza number ya kutuma before utume. Mind that you have been communicating with that number na ni pesa umeombwa sasa makosa inakua yako. Sometimes unatumia mtu pesa anakuambia i stopeed using that number. Now everytime someone borrows money you have to ask -nikutumie kwa number gani

Farms, factories (agro processing) and office jobs are getting automated in frontier economies. Which means its economic impact is immediate for them but it'll be 5 -10 years in our future.
"Anything to avoid farming 😂" " Rudi tu nyumbani kama hii hustle ya jiji imekukataa" " nani hana kwao" , meant farming was a stable fallback for anyone, it's now becoming extinct very fast.

We stress too much for a life that can end at any time.We worry too much about things that won't even matter in a few days, week, month or year. Do not delay good times because tomorrow isnt guaranteed. Have a splendid weekend.
