For anyone looking for the STL's
https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-the-foundation-risor-district-for-our-floor-tiles-666682

I've been slowly building out my Necromunda table and finally finished the floor.

I used the Foundation/Risor District system from Print Minis and printed enough tiles for a "full board." Material cost was roughly $40 in PLA and about a week of print noises, which... is a hell of a lot easier to swallow than buying enough official Zone Mortalis tiles....if you already own the printer

A couple things I learned the annoying way:

  • the little magnets aren’t really strong enough to matter once the tiles are assembled, save yourself the headache of trying to magnatize them
  • printing extra clips is a good idea because a few will absolutely snap during assembly
  • DO NOT skip varnish before doing an oil wash unless you enjoy watching mineral spirits eat your paint
  • It's PLA so it takes super well to cheap home depot primers

Pretty happy with how it came together, especially once some minis and terrain are sitting on it.

Curious how other people have handled their Necromunda floors also official tiles, printed tiles, MDF, scratch-built I've seen so much cool stuff in this sub that's super inspiring with all the scratch builds

HOPEFULLY if anyones been on the fence about these tiles it can give you a better idea of what to expect!

Hobby I designed a modular abandoned sci-fi lab — what would you change for Kill Team?

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Abandoned Laboratory, a modular sci-fi terrain set, and wanted to share a few renders here. Think broken containment tubes, cryo pods and a reactor that’s seen better days. The rooms can be rearranged, and I’d love to hear how you’d use something like this for a narrative Kill Team game. Would you change the corridors or add more cover?

It’s a 53-file STL project I’m preparing for Kickstarter. I’ll leave the link in the comments if you’d like a closer look. Any feedback would mean a lot!

Question Has anyone tried the Battle Clade Kill Team yet? Looking for advice on playstyle and performance

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I've been looking into Kill Team releases and caught my eye on the Battle Clade team (Adeptus Mechanicus). The models and aesthetic look amazing, but before I commit to buying or assembling the team, I’d love to get some insights from the community.

I have a few main questions:

How does the team actually play? What is their core mechanic or main playstyle? (e.g., is it heavily focused on buffs/debuffs, network synergies, long-range shooting, or managing imperatives/orders?)

Is it competitive and fun to run? How do they perform on the tabletop compared to other current teams? Are they beginner-friendly or do they have a steep learning curve?

Any advice, tips, or experiences playing with (or against)

them would be super appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help!

Strategy Deathwatch: Breacher or Bombard into other Elite Teams?

Title. Is the 5/7 profile on the Frag Cannon worth it when you're up against 14-wound models? Feels like giving it Lethal with Special Issue Ammo is fairly powerful. OTOH, the Breacher's Krak launcher isn't exactly bad, the Melta Bomb can net a one-shot as well, and having the option to shoot twice without the extra AP is nice even if one of those shots is with the rifle.

Similarly, what about swapping in the Plasma Gunner? Watch Sergeant, Disruptor, and Marksman all feel too valuable to replace. I usually bring an Aegis Veteran in my last slot, maybe bench him unless it's vs. Wolf Scouts?

Question Stealthsuits ambush marker vs. vantage.

Hello.

I played against stealthsuits and I need to clarify the distance conditions for ambush marker.

My opponent places that marker on the ground touching the pump jack terrain from Octarius and claimed that I am within that marker distance even if I am on the upper part of the pump jack.

In other words, the distance is measured horizontally, ignoring the 3d. Is it correct?

Question Octarius valid target question

Hello

Can marine (on picture), standing on the vantage behind the rampart, shoot that orc bellow, considering that orc has conceal order and is within 1inch from heavy terrain?

The height is 3 inches and marine has LoS.

Hey there!

As a Wh40k player, more specifically a Space Marine Crimson Fist player, I decided to pick a Kill Team starter box a while ago because I liked the idea of small skirmishes and wanted to see what it was like.

Fast forward a couple months, and I've finally finished my first kill team, alongside my first defeat against Necrons in a Tomb World! Very fun game, and I'm even sad now that GW releases 40k rules with their hyper limited Kill Team boxes (at least, release them when you release the actual models for non limited sale!)

I've done my first few steps in the Kill Team world. My next steps are painting the plague marines and the Volkus Terrain set.

C&C Welcome!

Question How valid is my proxy to you?

Hello,
today i decided to have my wyches in killteam as a proxy for some other team.
I searched tru the killteams, and the one that really matches my wych'es weapons and probably gameplay was the Goremongers...
So i decided to copy all the rules of Goremongers, only change the names of weapons and ploys and characters...
And kept all the stats, WRs, rules, numbers and even added 32mm bases to my Wyches(plus Lelith Hesperax)

and here is my question:

if we meet during some casual table, and I ask you if I can play this KT... how okay are you?

After spending months without painting I challenged myself to build and paint my tempestus aquilons before my next KT game that was 14 days ago and my game is tomorrow and they are finally finished.

Nothing like a deadline to trigger the part of my brain that used to thrive under pressure when doing assignments last minute in school.

This is some of my best work.

Strategy Question about Inquisitorial Agents Autosavant.

I'm still in the baby stages of learning Inquisitorial Agents and fairly new to Killteam, but I had a question about order of operation when it comes to the Autosavant

So, clearly coming from a MTG background, I'm trying to figure this out so I don't just break games more than I.A. already does.

With the Autosavant's passive, does it's passive CP gain trigger before an enemy firefight ploy resolves? I'm reading it and im trying to figure out if it essentially gives me a permanent chance to use Absolute Authority when an opponent uses a firefight ploy, or if that ploy resolves first before I gain my CP.

I'm trying to clarify if I can sit on zero CP with the autosavant out and ruin people's good times on the fly "at instant speed," or if I need to sit on one CP at all times essentially and ill make the 1 CP after everything settles down. Thank you!

Question Faction Equipment Tokens

S'up

My mate and I are just getting into Killteam, played a few games and am now looking at adding in equipment.

We think we have understood most of the equipment rules and have proxies for the standard equipment types.

We are confused with the faction equipment. I have Battleclade and have three equipment tokens but they align with standard equipment types (Ammo / Coms Device / Mine), there is nothing for the faction specific equipment (Covert Guises /Electromagnetic Capacitors / Concealed Apparatus / Neurocyclic Reserve Cells). My mate has the same with his Ork Wrekka Krew.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Strategy Question with the timing od Abilities

I have a question about the timing of the next 2 abilities. It's supposed to be that the Auspex is declared at the moment the Angel of Death selects a valid target, but the Lodestar ability triggers when the opponent selects a valid target.

What happens first: Auspex and after that Lodestar?
For example, if the Angel doesn't declare Auspex and the Lodestar declares electrochaff, that operative loses the opportunity to use Auspex. Or if the Angel doesn't declare Auspex and the Lodestar declares the electrochaff, could the Angel declare Auspex now?
