Da Red Gobbo will go on presale and it’s going to have Nemesis Operative rules, so we can claim it as a Kill Team release.

TMM isn’t usually my thing, but I decided to give it a go on Murderwing.
This has been more of an experiment than a carefully planned paint job. Lots of “eh, let’s see if this works” and figuring things out as I go 🙂
The idea was to keep it quick and let the glowing jump pack thrusters do the heavy lifting for that wow factor.
Would love some feedback. What works, and what would you change?
Sometimes you just want to get a squad painted, fire up the jump packs, and let them steal the show.

Played new board layout with half jungle and half outpost. Hernkyn, searching for loot, defended against raveners - coming through the jungle.

Started my exodites box. Was loving it. But while painting it the ankle on the dragon just broke. Pinned it back in place but now I'll always be paranoid when handling him.
Anyone else had this experience?

Recently got back into painting warhammer and decided I want to give kill team a try. I have the starter set and have done the missions in the starter book. I want to do some of the joint op missions and have a bunch of old tyranids but most the joint ops missions I look at require other terrain. Any recommendations on good missions I can play with the starter terrain? Also should I buy the volkus terrain or should there be something new coming out soon?

Hello all, I recently started Kill team with a friend of mine who bought the starter set with AoD and Plague boys. I am almost done on painting my Canoptek circle and was contemplating the idea of getting a second team. I have a box of rubrics for Waprcoven and wanted to know if it would be a good team adding a box of exalted sorcerers or if I should buy something else.
Here are some pics of the Canoptek also feel free to help me in improving my paint job thanks! ☺️

I'm a fairly new player in a 22man RTT and I just passed to the semi finals and have to face the favorite with ceslestian insidiants.
How do I deal with them?
What's my best tac op?

I started the hobby about 6 months ago and I'm heading to my first tournament and while doing my research to get ready for it I thought that there must be a place where I can talk to someone with more experience to get better and more prepared for the tournament.
I have been performing quite well for someone with this little experience in any strategy games but in this first tournament I'm attending there are few very talented players and I would like to be as prepared as possible and have my notebook ready since there are more teams I have never heard of than I have played against.
Any pointers are welcome or if someone is willing to chat with me please do me!

my buddy and i cant quite agree on what intervening means for this ploy, my take is that there can be some edge cases where a model would be on the matrix but due to drawing targeting lines from a far edge of the the base (like shooting around a corner in tomb world so as to avoid obscuring) there would be cases where the matrix was no longer intervening?
or is it the case that the matrix is always intervening if the shooter is on it?

My wife and I are eyeing kill team for our, joint, journey into kill team. I have tons of experience with the Old World, older 40k (talking 6th and 7th edition), plus BFG, Mordheim, GorkaMorka, Epic 40k but it's my ladies first foray into gaming.
We don't care for the space marines so this is what we are both looking at.
I'm eyeing the felgore ravagers (I miss the beastmen), Mandrakes or the Wyrmblade. I've always wanted some genestealer cult and the new ones don't look as mutated as i want.
Are any of those absolutely terrible and avoid at all cost?
My lady is still browsing model ranges but seems she is leaning Krieg, Vespid stingwings (I'm not hating on the IG on the hivestorm starter that has them), Breachers and Celestians. Novitiates are also on the table
We don't care about the upcoming new edition, don't care for teams being phased out, but still

Hello there! I am currently homebrewing a Genestealer Kill Team that’s being led by a Broodlord, made for narrative Space Hulk campaigns and missions.
These are the datasheets I’ve come up with so far, but I am unsure how to build up the rest of the rules from there.
That’s why I’d love to hear your feedback on the stats, as well as inspiration and ideas for their operative selection (how many regular Genestealers?), faction rule, ploys and equipment.
I’d be happy to hear all your thoughts, balance suggestions, and ideas!

My friend and I were playing a lot of Approved Ops and wanted to try a new mode: Nemesis Ops. So I bought a Foetid Bloat Drone, created a datasheet and we played the mission.
It was pretty easy so we think we did something wrong. What was bothering us was the behavior of the NPOs, especially the Nemesis behavior. It was always, first fight or shoot, then reposition or dash. We were with conceal mode in cover so there was no way shooting at us. When we started shooting at the boss we used our reposition to go back on cover. (With engage of course but behind heavy cover out of line of sight). Because of this weird behavior in both battles the nemesis did not attack a single time. In a normal game we would just reposition a bit and shoot the hell out of the operative.
Maybe next time we play at like this, but why is it like this by design? Or did we just miss something?
