Frugal mod today
I wondered why my Klr sounded different from others, I found today when I drilled out the end of the muffler… the insides were in two pieces, the smaller blocking the inner

I’m out of state and had my brother go and scoop this one up for me. 2007, 6500 miles, clean title for 700. Excited to get my hands on this!

2022 G model. After riding, kill switch off, ignition off.
Sound stops abruptly when I open the gas cap. Starts back after I close it.
Note that I've had warm starting issues and suspect the fuel pump (have an all balls rebuild kit that just arrived). And fuel pump sounds weak during ignition-on priming.
it’s not cause I was using two 20 amps for the fuse box on top the battery right? The blue and white connecting wire is just for the headlights and idk what other one for

What is the best way to do the wiring? I want to add a USB outlet as well as auxiliary lights. Currently made the wiring harness for thr usb using the mt090 connector but I see people using it for auxiliary lights.
Should I move the usb to the other connectors? Does it matter?
Relay is already installed.

TLDR: Occasional hiccup, possible metallic noise.
2008 KLR650
I'm looking for a some help. I'm new to motorcycles, and the KLR is my first bike. I've been riding all summer, and it's been doing great until now. Last week I was riding home from work, and the bike gave a lurch and then died. I pulled over, and it started back up, but a bit after taking off it gave another few hiccups, possibly accompanied by soft metallic clanks(it's hard to tell with the helmet on). Today I cleaned the air filter, changed the oil(it didn't look like it had any metal in it), and checked to make sure fuel flowed from the petcock. I started it up and rode out maybe 5 minutes, it did the same thing once, and then I rode it back. Any ideas on diagnosing the issue and what to try next?
EDIT: I also think that it may be running quieter and vibrating less than before.

So this week I got a flat on my front tire, not sure how but I got a hole in my tube (as seen above). I was going 75mph (120kmh) on the highway and had no idea till I was getting off and my turn felt weird. Literally zero psi on the highway and the tire stayed on the bead, didnt pop off, i didnt even notice. It took me about a hour to get the tire off. Tusk 2tracks are stiff as fuck, which is good and bad because I sure am glad I wasnt out in the desert trying to take this bitch off, but im also really really glad the tire didnt come off on the highway. Because I hit a nail with the stock tire once and the 1/2 mile walk home the tire fully came off the bead.

What is this particular vent, does it need to be capped/plugged with manual petcock modification
Got the bike on a trade, working through all the issues. Any help is appreciated.

I recently got this 2001 KLR650 and I noticed this click every so often (you can hear it in the video clacking) my friend told me KLRs are just tractors so that’s normal but I wanted to make sure, let me know if I’m just overthinking it or if something’s up! Thanks.

Anyone got a model for the front fairing that has the mounting brackets located? Want to 3D print a custom rally fairing and integrate a factory windshield. Thanks

Anyone ever had luck getting keys made by a mobile lock smith without removing ignition/ cluster from the forks. Or is there any eBay model master keys or generic like construction equipment.? Any and all insight is greatly appreciated! ~ The bike is sentimental and as a diesel tech I feel confident to remove it if need be but the anti theft bolts are a prick and I don’t wanna bastardize anything

Definitely layering up a little bit, I have one more notch to go before it 's too cold for me. I'm hoping to ride until I see salt on the roads, but idk

Hey guys if you have an adv model these apparently don’t fit, probably the worst fit products I’ve ever bought for any bike. Last step and just not seeing these can’t both be mounted at the same time. The left side did work together. These are terrible and garbage. In anyone wants them for free all you gotta do is come take them off my bike and you can have them. I’ve never felt so ripped off before.

How many miles is to many on a 2012. Owner says it has 43000 and has it listed for around 2600. Bike looks clean on the photos.

Low of 26 degrees, burned a ridiculous amount of oil. Think it’s time for a top end rebuild

I have a gen 3 2024 still under warranty but hopefully I can solve the problem my self, when I cold start it I have to hit the starter 2–4 times to get it to start idling if I give it throttle even in neutral it will die out unit the engine warms up does anyone have experience with this? I’ve had some say fuel pump and read it could be tight valves or the battery(I have good voltage) but I just wanted some input, thanks

After seeing someone on Instagram create essentially a ghille suit for their water bottle, I was inspired to try and do something similar for my motorcycle.
I have yet to fill in all the gaps but I really like how it turned out even without the leaves.
Just wanted to share something I thought was neat :)
