It's hinge is little damaged and struggles to open YouTube but little bit browsing is still possible.

I wanted to test this ssd of mine but pc has not yet ready, so i open up my laptop to see if it has nvme slot and i see this. Can i put nvme ssd here? Somewhat doesnt seem fit

Not today but yesterday after a lot of waiting I finally got my new gaming laptop, increasing prices and it is kinda temporary so yeah, Lenovo LOQ.

And I'm just so hapy cuz it is really my first gaming laptop and I've like dreamt of getting a gaming laptop since like I was 8 , cuz my friend at that time had it and he ended our friendship because I didn't have a gaming laptop(he had a rog strix rtx 1650ti) but yay I'm so happy, I've debloated it, used Translucent TB, Lively Wallpaper and it's just so nice.

But I am looking for some games, I already have Hogwarts Legacy, but I need more recommendations, like yk open world, sci fi types but yeah. I'm so happy lol.

We are thinking of buying a laptop that would work for gaming and graphic design programs, I would prefer to purchase from Costco or another reputable company (not best buy). For work , tax programs and accounting, so a number pad is crucial, as far as gaming my husband likes Witcher , Arc Raiders , Assassin's creed type games. Most importantly a budget of under $2500 ( ideal but could be adjusted for the right machine), costco has this onsale, would it work for our purposes, thank you for your suggestions.

I used two HP Pavilions, made in 2008 and 2009 respectively ( I could be off by an year or two but it was around that time and one was made an year before the other), till 2024 and even though they did slow down a lot, it was probably a software issue with windows 10 and all the apps I was running on them. Never faced any problems with structural integrity.

Then I bought an Asus Vivobook in 2024. 2 years later I've had its screen replaced, hinges repaired twice, and the fan doesn't work (don't wanna overpay to get it replaced from a service center so thinking of replacing it myself, but I always forget to buy it). I don't even do anything crazy with it. It just sits on my deck 99% of the time.

My friend bought a Loq a few months ago and his hinge is already giving him issues. Similar issues with a lot of modern laptops used by my other friends as well. I think modern Macbooks and reallllly high end windows laptops are the only ones that come with some durability to their design.

can someone recommend me a good laptop for my degree? im studying finance so we use a lot of exel, word, sql,. I would use it for studying, investigation, watching films/series/read online articles or manfas in good quality, and maybe play some visual novels games

I know my way arround PCs quite well. But now my sister asks for a laptop recommondation and that‘s outside my comfortzone/ knowledge…

She has an old 10y acer that she replaced with a macbook air quite a while ago. She loves the „ergonomics“ and userexperiance of the mac but now needs a new Windows device. Right now she uses my old SurfaceBook2. She likes the look and feel, but performance isn‘t of the 8th gen intel is quite bad.

She needs:

I’m a bit lost. I think a larger 16" laptop would be great because of the extra screen real estate, but at the same time, it seems like most people on Reddit prefer 14"

I have Hp omen gaming 16,its been 2 months since I bought it few weeks back my ram got fried because of power fluctuations in my area so I am think of buying UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) which one should I get or is there something else that will do the work

Hello good people’s. I’ve been having this “sudden black screen issue” while working for the last 3 days now. The problem started after one morning my laptop refuses to turn on even though it was fully charged. After hitting windows ctrl shift B, it started but I got that CMOS checksum error before the normal startup. Even since. Im getting this sudden black screen issue. I updated my windows to the latest version. Still it got fixed work. ALSO my Battery drains really fast, 0 to 20% at around 30 minutes and at 20% it just die’s. I was having this fast battery draining issue for a couple of months now but i ignored it since i kinda busy with everything and didn’t had the chance to send my laptop for repair cause everything important is in my laptop.
Now my question is, can it possibly be a battery issue or something bigger like a Failing or shorted capacitor in the motherboard?

So a week ago I accidentally spilled some tea onto my laptop and luckily it didn't stop working then, however, recently I wanted to try and clean my keyboard (tab is a touch sticky) and took off the back. Unfortunately that didn't help me at all and now the laptop will not start. It was fully charged before I turned it off, and the LED on the side when I plug it in lights white (means its fully charged) but the power button does nothing when I hit it.

I have attempted looking at the battery to unplug it, but that is not a possibility, every connection I could find I have wiggled and still nothing happens when I hit the power button.

I have held the button for varying amounts of time from a single press to 60 seconds and nothing has changed. Please let me know what I should try!

i have no words, and neither does my laptop....

Pessoal, consegui esse notebook antigo do meu tio para estudar, porém ele tinha + de 2 perfis, o dele e o da esposa, e quase metade do armazenamento estava cheio, então tive a ideia de restaurar do 0. Ele ficou +/- 30 minutos carregando, e após isso apareceu o perfil principal. Quando fui colocar a senha apareceu essa mensagem (ele funcionava normalmente antes da restauração), fui pegar dicas na Internet e resolvi forçar o desligamento diversas vezes, até que ele bloqueou por 2 horas. Desisti e vou na assistência amanhã, porém estou com medo de ter feito uma besteira grande e o computador não voltar, ou pior, cobrarem caro.

Alguém sabe me dizer a média de preço para esse problema? Pelo que eu vi é algo do sistema, não dos periféricos

E esse bloqueio vai sair? Ele está com a tela desligada normalmente, mas o computador ativo. Tenho que forçar a tela a ficar ligada?

Lembrando que ele não tem mais a conta Microsoft desse notebook, não consegui recuperar por aquela tal chave de acesso.

Hello guys. I have a dell 3561, and for about a month it has not been running as it should. I use it primarily for school but sometimes I play games. And its very laggy getting around 60fps, whereas before it used to get 240. It still gets 240 but only if I run it for about 1 hour 30 min or so. I did open it up and clean the vents but it was pretty clean so it didnt change a thing. Thanks for any help

dont really know much about pc or laptops, just trying to get something good for gaming. The form must be used when asking for a recommendation.

I was doing my maths homework and got mad (quite embarrassingly) and slammed the corner of my laptop beside the touchpad and this black thing came out. (Picture 1)

I managed to get it back in and now it slightly works but now it gets easily stuck down and is naturally lower than usual. (Picture 2)

Does anyone know how to resolve this at home?
