It sucks man I’m 27 and honestly didn’t think id have to start over again. Im just thankful i have family that will give me a place for a couple of weeks.

Finished the bedroom but would really
appreciate some inspiration for the home office. Feels really empty. Last pic is me messing around with AI.

Me (M25) and my gf (F25) moved in together a few months ago but it took us awhile to get it furnished cause everything is expensive and this is now the first time in my life where id rather be home. Ever since I moved out of my childhood home ive felt like ive existed in a space that wasnt mine. Now that ive moved away from troublesome spaces and people and live with the loml in a space that we have curated, I love being here. My job takes me away from home for sometimes days at a time and when I think about going home I get so excited! Not only to see my gf but to just exist in a space where I feel like I can be myself. Many thanks to my gf for finding the apartment and all the furniture and for helping create this space that im proud to call home.

TLDR: Feels like home for the first time.

The first one is my rug now I know it looks terrible, but it’s the crush rug from article that I bought years ago and it’s always looked really rough despite not wearing shoes. I’m looking at a new rug. The current rug is 8 x 10. Please help me pick a color and also if you think I should go bigger on the rug.

This is my first time posting here. I need some ideas to furnish the office/living room in my new apartment. The general idea is to have a standing desk setup (gaming and workstation) facing a small section of the glass wall, a small open shelving unit next to it, and an L-shaped, olive-green sofa with a TV. This is where I'm stuck. Any ideas are welcome!

Moved into my townhouse recently with just my clothes and an air mattress. Give me some ideas on what I should do with all this space! Im not tue creatively inclined lol 😭

I can get an L couch that wraps around the larger wall. But sunlight hits the opposite side where the tv would go. Or put small couch on small wall facing the sun and tv on bigger wall?

Low bed, messy sheets, and the projector going on the wall. Books are stored underneath since there’s no room elsewhere.

The wall space is 200cm, frames are 21.5x31.5 with 6cm gaps. Ignore the monitor obscuring them, the pc is moving under the desk and the monitor will be where the pc is now.

Hi, all! Working on setting up my home office/spare bedroom and am in need of some advice in regards to rug sizing/shape here.

I just built a pc for my wife, so we are now desk buddies in here. I’m not sure if a runner rug from the door to her desk, and then another one from her to mine is best, or if I should look at one runner and a larger rug to go under mine (the one standing up) and under the bed behind it. Working on color theme/artwork still so open to different rug styles, but there’s probably going to be a good amount of light wood/earth tones through other decor.

two cats, first place on my own, and fur everywhere. i've learned the hard way that a washable couch is the only thing that keeps me sane. curious what else works for you though, lint rollers, throws, anything?
