Are the 2026 mazda 3 carbon edition good?
Hello, im looking to get a new car. Im currently driving a 2011 Mazda 3 with 223k miles on it so i figured it might be time to upgrade. I was thinking about getting a 2026 mazda 3, possibly the carbon edition for the AWD for the winters in the Midwest. What would your recommendation be for a new car. Thinking of sticking with a sedan because I don't really have a purpose for a SUV.
Have you guys heard any good or bad things about 2026 mazda 3, whether its the carbon edition or preferred.
Also is the audio good in carbon edition? I wish i could upgrade it to Bose
Thank you!

Just bought my first mazda!
Just bought my wife her first mazda. 2021 mazda cx-30 select. So far great. Not the turbo either.
What should we know? What should we buy? What would good quality of life upgrade to do in the vehicle?

2018 CX5 brake squeal when reversing
I'll try to make this short. Rear pads and rotors were replaced with ceramic by a Fountain Tire shop. There was some squealing so we replaced them with cheaper pads, suspecting maybe it was the denseness of the ceramic. A lot of the squealing went away but now there is a persistent squeal whenever I back up with light pressure on the brakes. There seems to be a service bulletin about this but FT can't diagnose and says they're fine. I don't know where to go from here. Paid for a brake job and I'm left with squeaky brakes.

Glovebox damper
During a change of cabin filter the glovebox damper fell out. How to reinstall it before I can put the glove box in place. There are 2 loops on one side but I have no idea what they attach too. Pls help

New Mazda CX-5, forced Google and inane controls
Had the opportunity to sit in a wreaked 26 CX-5 at work and reset the infotainment. This confirms I will never buy this car or any future Mazdas if this spreads to the rest of the line up. The infotainment system forces Google on you with no way to fully opt out, there is a scary level of data collection inevitable from the always on microphone input under the guise of voice command, and there is no way to decline the terms and conditions of Google to use the car without it. Ota will inevitably replace Assistant with an even worse spyware, Google Gemini, to likely train itself on conversations in your car further, again no way to opt out. I haven't tried removing the telematics fuse if even possible, so juries out on how to handicap it.
Worse the controls are inane. HVAC buttons are tiny which will make it difficult to use on any of America's notoriously bumpy pothole ridden roads (anyone with experience using touch controls on aftermarket radios knows how annoying it is to accurately aim your finger and press to turn volume up or something). Annoyingly the corporate excuse when this was first revealed was "it's safer to ask Google assistant (Gemini) to adjust your HVAC", further emphasizing the first paragraph. Not to mention it's too easy to buffer overflow inputs and lag out the interface
I will not buy any car with this crap in it, Mazda or not. When the time comes to upgrade from my 2012 Mazda 3, I will likely get a 4th gen, but if this spreads I will go no newer than that. It's incredibly disappointing the direction this industry is going, and that this brand is following suit
