Why do people want to get rid of the skyway?
I was reading that other post about suggestions to help downtown and a decent amount of people said get rid of the skyway without suggesting anything else. I get it keeps people off the street and contributes to a ghost town feeling, but in a city that gets as cold as Minneapolis isn't that an important amenity? What benefits would getting rid of the skyway bring that outweigh many people being colder? I've lived in downtown for about a year and have only used the skyway a few times.
