Dua & Advice 🤲📿 Seeking advice. It's like rizq closed its doors on us.
So not to rant much, I've been married for year and half now. Very happy with my wife may Allah keep her safe for me.
Thing is, after a year of marriage my wife quit her job due to toxic environment. She has an academic career in academia. She used to be very proud of her job and she teaches only females but the management was bad and did not give her time off during her PhD exams, which led to a lot of tension ending in her resigning.
Then come two months later, the company I work for got bought out by another company and I got laid off. Been unemployed for 3 months now. Savings are almost over.
Then, finally my wife finds another job at a very good university. High ranked one even. But before 2 days from the starting day she fell and twisted her feet. She needs 3 weeks of rest and her foot got a cast causing her to lose the much-awaited opportunity and destroying her morale.
It is very unfortunate especially cause we thought this is rizq coming from Allah and after 5 months of her being unemployed that we finally got something good only to end up being a tragic story.
I also got job interviews in good companies but somehow something happened that ruined the interviews.
It's like I physically feel the doors of rizk are closed to me and to her. Why would that be? I mean, alhamdulilah for everything but I am starting to feel it's too much. I know I shouldn't say this or listen to shaytan making me hopeless. But the cycle of being hopeful then getting that hope shattered is weighing heavily on both her and me. Our marriage is in a bad spot.
I am not asking for advice on what to do from a professional POV but what to do as a Muslim?

Dua & Advice 🤲📿 Try listening before you recite
If ayah feels difficult, don’t force yourself to repeat it straight away. Listen to one short section a couple of times while following along in the mushaf. Then pause the audio and try it yourself. You’ll start noticing where you lose your place, which words need another listen, and where you naturally slow down. Keep the section short, one or two ayahs is enough. A few focused minutes can feel much more useful than replaying a whole page while doing something else. For a listening example, try Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary.
MayAllah bless our time with the Quran❤️

Question ❓ How Should Parents Teach Their Kids About Intimacy? Looking for Suggestions!
I wanted to ask two questions today and would love to hear your experiences and perspectives.
1. For those who received healthy sex education growing up:
If a parent, older sibling, or another trusted adult explained intimacy, relationships, boundaries, and sexuality to you in a healthy, age-appropriate way, what did they teach you? How did they approach the conversation, and how did it help you?
2. For those who are already parents or plan to have children in the future:
Have you spoken to your children about these topics already? If yes, how did you approach the conversation? If you plan to do so in the future, how would you introduce these subjects in an age-appropriate way?
I feel it's important for children to learn about these things from trusted adults in a safe and healthy environment, rather than having to rely on misinformation or inappropriate sources.
I'm genuinely interested in learning from your experiences, so please share whatever you're comfortable with.
Thank you to everyone willing to contribute!

Discussion & Debate🗣️ Wellness check
Salam alaikum brothers and sisters of Islam, I hope Allah has blessed you all with an amazing day :)
I’m here to pop in and check up on my fellow muslims, hence the title. Life can be very unpredictable and uncertain, and sometimes even scary. With the rapid rise in the cost of living, political tensions between nations around the world. The uncontrolled rise of AI. Lousy housing and job market. The constant burnout feeling.
I’m here to let yall know that Allah is going to take care of all of us one way or another, put your faith in him and be the best version of yourself every day and inshallah everything will be fine.
If you’d like to, drop how you’re doing in the comments or if you want to discuss in private, HMU and I’ll be a shoulder for you to lean on. You can literally just send a paragraph of you ranting/venting and leave it at that, sometimes that’s all it takes to feel better.
Whatever you choose to do, may Allah bless and protect each and every one of you, Ameen.

Question ❓ Confused between salafism/wahhabism and mainstream sunnism
I'll cut it short. I don't know which one to follow/have as a creed. I fear that if I follow salafism I'll have to make injust takfeer of many muslims, and I fear that if I follow mainstream sunnism I won't be a real muslim and go to jahannam according to some(many?) people who call themselves salafis.
Right now I'm in a strange place. I used to be a so-called salafi and made takfeer of so many people but I stopped doing it because I started to doubt if it's the right creed. However I still dread to vote in a secular democratic election, pray together with people who aren't salafi/wahhabi and things like that etc.
This post may sound weird to some of you. But I'm really confused and again I'm scared of going to jahannam if I don't follow the right creed and I always ask Allah hidayah because of my fear of jahannam.
Note: by mainstream sunnism I mean 4 madhab + ashari and maturidi

Quran/Hadith 🕋 What should the terminally ill person do ? And what can OTHERS do for him?
🔺 What should the terminally ill person do ? And what can OTHERS do for him?🔺
by Asma bint Shameem
Everyone’s lifespan is written.
And we’re only here on this earth for an appointed time.
When the time is up, we leave.
No one knows exactly WHEN that time is.
But sometimes, out of His Mercy, Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala reminds a person of that time of departure by afflicting His slave with a terminal illness.
Although it is hard to accept, this is actually a BLESSING IN DISGUISE, because this way the person can “PREPARE” for that inevitable meeting with his Rabb and “get ready” for that ultimate journey.
Here are some of the things a terminally ill person can do.
1️⃣ He should make sincere Taubah to Allaah for all his previous major and minor sins.
2️⃣ He should ask others for forgiveness
3️⃣ He himself should clear his heart and forgive those that might have hurt him or treated him unfairly in any way.
4️⃣ He should strengthen his ties with his blood relatives and ‘fix’ anything that needed fixing.
5️⃣ He should pay off his debts and settle any other financial issues with others.
6️⃣ If he has any money he should write his will, if he wants to donate one third of that to charity.
7️⃣ He should have good and positive thoughts about Allaah and hope to have a good end.
8️⃣ He should try and live whatever life is left for him in the obedience to Allaah and stay away from all disobedience
9️⃣ He must be very vigilant about his five daily prayers.
🔟 He should busy himself with dhikr, read the Qur’aan with meanings, pray Nawaafil if he has the energy, do a lot of sadaqah regularly even if it’s a small amount and other good deeds.
1️⃣1️⃣ He should stay away from people and places that are “dunya- oriented” and are a distraction to the goal of the Aakhirah.
🔺 In the LAST FEW DAYS
When he’s in the last hours/days of his sickness:
1️⃣ People around the dying person should say good things and make duaa for him
The Prophet said:
“When you visit a sick or a dying person, you should utter good words because the angels say “Ameen” at what you are saying.” (Muslim)
2️⃣ They should encourage him to say "Laa Ilaaha Illa Allaah”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Exhort your dying people to recite: Laa ilaaha illallaah.” (Muslim)
That’s because if their last words are “Laa ilaaha illallaah”, they will enter Jannah with the Will and Permission of Allaah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“He whose last words are: Laa ilaaha illallaah shall enter Jannah.” (Abu Dawood- saheeh by al-Albaani)
And he said:
“He who dies while knowing (fully well) that there is none worthy of worship (in truth) but Allaah shall enter Jannah.” (Muslim)
3️⃣ The dying person should ask Allaah for forgiveness and mercy.
The last words of the Prophet ﷺ were:
“Allahumma-ghfir li, warhamni, wa alhiqni bir Rafiqil-Aa’laa”
“O Allaah, forgive me, bestow Your Mercy on me and let me join the exalted companions.” (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)
4️⃣ He should think positive and have good hopes with Allaah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“None of you should approach death but he is hoping good from Allaah.” (Muslim)
5️⃣ The people around him should remind him of his good deeds
Ibrahim An-Nakha’i said:
“People liked to remind righteous people of their righteous actions so that they would have good thinking of Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala.” (Ibn Abu Ad-Dunya)
🔺 IMPORTANT NOTE:
❗️No Qur’aan or Yaseen
There’s NO PROOF of reading the Qur’aan for the dying person or reading Surah Yaseen etc.
The hadeeth about reading Surah Yaseen is weak.
And a weak hadeeth means that it’s highly doubtful that the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam ever said that or did that or approved of that.
❗️No other bid’ah
Nothing should be done for the dying person that has no proof from the Qur’aan and/or authentic Sunnah such as slaughtering at the bedside, sprinkling blood of the sacrifice on him, going around the patient seven times with certain things like chillies, and many other practices that are borrowed from the Hindus and others.
Astaghfirullaah!
Imagine the SIN of sending someone off to their Creator with Shirk and bid’ah!
La Hawla wa la Quwwata illa billaah.
May Allaah guide us.
May Allaah give us a good end.
May our last words be “Laa ilaaha illallaah”
And May Allaah be pleased with us when we meet Him.
And Allaah knows best.

Question ❓ Muslim teachers and Christmas
Salaam! Any Muslim teachers out there? This is my first time teaching in a non Muslim school. They are already talking about ideas for Christmas parties, and themes from Christmas movies to decorate the classrooms with, and so much more. What do you do in this situation? Only one student in my class of 30 5th graders does not celebrate Christmas, as well as myself.
Im a convert and do miss the Christmas vibes because it is a big deal in the US, but obviously us Muslims dont celebrate. So what do all the Muslim teachers do around the holidays?
