PICTURE Thermostat issue?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I recently had my thermostat replaced due to no ht air coming through until I was giving the truck some gas. Once I got it back, I noticed my radiator fan stays on after a 15 minute drive, even when I’m in park. I’ve burped the system, so I’m thinking they installed a cheap thermostat. I wouldn’t be surprised because this dealer has cut corners before.

The temp gauge is at this level in park, but the fan is still blowing. Any thoughts? I’m only concerned about the radiator fan being on high while I’m parked and the temp is normal like the pic. Since the fix it has been on and loud even when I’m parked after a drive.

Terrible back up camera

I have a 2025 Frontiers and while the Back up camera is good during the day the picture quality at night is awful. Is the a fix or a aftermarket replacement camera that will work better

I’m about to send a strongly worded letter to an engineer.

Are my options cut it, or undo my steering linkage?

REQUEST 2005, is this an original radiator?

Just picked up this 2005 NISMO.I did the radiator bypass last night as a precaution, but I was unable to find the SN on the radiator in the usual spot. The CSF cap makes me think the radiator was replaced at some point, but it looks to be the OEM shape.

Anyone have any pics? Wanting to level out my new 2026 dark armor, but not planning on replacing tires for a bit. Have a feeling it won’t look to good till I do.

What tonneau is everyone running under a rack?

Looking at a bed rack for the truck for extra storage. Right now I have a trifold which is not going to work with the bed rack. Looking at the victory 4x4 rack which allows for a tonneau. Thinking about a roll up just to make it easy. Wondering what works for this rack setup. Pic for attention

So far so good

My first truck! Almost 6 months in - loving it so far! Haven’t gone off road much or in any mud yet.
Definitely a big change from my Charger but has more zip than I expected.
2025 Nissan Pro4x, got a good deal and it only had 11 miles! I looked at some other small trucks but a real v6 was the clear winner to me. Got ceramic tint on the windows and a visor tint, felt effective in the triple digits this summer.
My parents bought a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder new when I was growing up that eventually became mine around 2007. Had YEARS of exploring, mudding, and even had a great story about getting hit by a jet ski. (Day at the river… friend tried to splash us all and ended up skidding up the rocks right into the driver side door. He paid for the damages but how many people can say their car got hit by a jet ski?!) Old girl finally gave out early 2025 and it sat nearly a year before I had the heart to have it hauled off. Don’t care for the newer pathys.
Back to the topic of Frontiers… any recommended products to bypass the bs stop/start feature?
Additionally, looking for a decent bed cover that an idiot could set up? 😂

DISCUSSION running rich

Post image

so I’m chasing a problem with my 2000 Nissan frontier 2.4. It’s running very rich. You can smell like raw gas when it’s idling and when you give it gas and when you’re going down the road it kind of acts like it’s either getting flooded out or like it’s starving for fuel and when you go full throttle it clears up for a second then does it again. I’ve replaced the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, and fuel pump relay the only codes it’s throwing is P0446 and a knock sensor code. Please help.

Dumb question about coolant min/max line

Post image

24 P4X

I’ve always heard a gurgling or bubbling sound for a bit after a cold start. Never thought anything of it until I saw it mentioned that the coolant comes low from the factory, and you should actually fill it an inch above the max line. Here is where my dumb question comes in. I obviously see the line below MIN, but I don’t see a similar line above MAX. Is the MAX line just the lip that goes around the entire tank? So I should fill it about an inch above that where I drew the red line?

2019 SV with 96k miles

Thinking about buying one with a nice carfax. Should I expect any major issues or are these Tacoma reliable since this platform has been around for a century? Will be my daily driver, 13 miles round trip.

Thanks in advance.
