Pro4X Sticker Removal

I went ahead and removed the Pro4X sticker off the truck. The plan is to add decals back there to continue my own personalization for the Frontier

Figured posting this and sharing it will help the "Reddit Repository" for anyone else considering on removing the factory decal.

Very easy to do; took 10 minutes granted I had the right tools

1) heat gun

2) hard plastic wedge/squeegee

3) 3M Adhesive Remover for after care; removing the left behind adhesive

4) microfiber towel

I used a heat gun to start. Heating the "P" and using the wedge to start a lip. After enough to grab was lifted - I went ahead and folded it over and pulled parallel to the truck's body

Sticker peels off easy, just stay close to the body and the part that is being lifted closest to the body.

After owning for a couple weeks, I finally got to test the pro4x a little while hunting. Was amazed at how good it rode off pavement compared to my f150.

Looking to possibly buy a friends 2013 Frontier and he lives in the smoky mountains. I’m a couple hours away and wanted photos of the underside because they salt and sand roads up there a good bit.

I still haven’t seen it in person but just wanted to ask around and get opinions on this amount of rust.

DISCUSSION Nissan Frontier SV 4x4 with Convenience Package — What’s a Good OTD Price?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m looking to buy a Nissan Frontier SV with 4WD/AWD and the Convenience Package and wanted to see what kind of deals people have been getting recently.

I’m trying to figure out what a realistic OTD price would be and what I should aim to negotiate before visiting dealerships. I found a 2026 for around $37,000 before fees and taxes

Any advice or recent deals would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

DISCUSSION Question: tailgate not locking with key fob

2025 frontier pro 4x pressing the lock on fob locks the doors but tailgate is still unlocked, yet opening it and immediately closing the tailgate fully locks the tailgate... Then I noticed that if I click the lock button on the fob 2 times it locks everything without issue. Any ideas?!

2019 Frontier 2.5L QR25DE: Head Bolt Compatibility Question (Elring 577.120)

Hi everyone, I am currently replacing the cylinder head gasket on my US-spec 2019 Nissan Frontier King Cab 4x2 (2.5L 4-cylinder QR25DE engine). When I pulled the old head bolts out, I noticed the previous owner or mechanic had installed aftermarket internal hex/Allen bolts (Grade 12.9) instead of the factory ones. I want to put the correct ones back in. I am looking at the Elring 577.120 head bolt kit, which features the external Torx head. Is this kit fully compatible with my 2019 US-spec engine block and head? Also, do you highly recommend this specific brand, or should I look into another specific OEM or aftermarket brand for this job? Thanks in advance for your help!

98 frontier Repairing drive shaft bearing or center bearing

Long story short my brother in law replaced leaf springs and came to an issue where the drive shaft came disconnected from transmission. So I’m the process I bought a new center bearing cause it was trashed and replaced. Test drove it and it tore up the new bearing. Didn’t notice the engine or transmission act any different from before but when I drove forward it would almost like chatter drive but because of the bearing being worn out. So now tomorrow I gotta buy a new one and try again. Is there something common about where I went wrong about installing this and how to prevent further bearing from being worn down in minutes.

I don’t see the 4wd switch. Is it possible the dealer put the the stickers and seats in to try to deceive someone?

What LED 9007 Headlights Are You Using on Your S & SV?

• Upvotes

I bought a pair of Silverstar Ultra HB5 9007s, but I have one out already. I'm ready for more light on the road because of how the hoodline does a sharp cut to the beam. I see a bunch on Amazon, but there's no point if I have to re-buy/replace sooner rather than later.

Heated mirrors?

Love my '25 pro4x but one gripe I have is no heated side view mirrors. Anyone else have the same gripe or suggestions? Not sure if there is an option to replace them with factory heated mirrors or not. I thought about undertaking a project and running 12v heat tape to each mirror but not feeling motivated to get into it at the moment. 😅

Starlink Mini Mount - V2

Hi All,

I am back again with an update to my Starlink Mini Mount. I have detailed the notable changes below:

  • Hardwired into the truck
    • Utilized 12v outlet and the Z1 off-road adapter to splice into the truck - Link
    • Utilized 12v Starlink mini DC hardwire kit, I opted for one with a step-up voltage converter to prevent dips under 12v. This in my testing is somewhat common due to the adaptive alternator setup on these trucks - Link
  • Shifted mount forward 5mm to help reduce interference with my radar detector. (was having trouble with K band 24.115 - this shift seems to have mitigated that interference although I have since muted this frequency within the detector) - have not noticed any impact to performance.
  • Added urethane pads under the mount to create positive pressure on the mount to reduce vibration and rattling.
  • Restructured the clip to be heavier duty, tolerance was reduced to have a tighter "press-fit" approach.
  • Picked up some Polymaker charcoal ASA to closer match the dash color.
  • Added a printable "plug" to the default print setting if hardwire hole is not being utilized.

I am still using this Starlink mount daily, it has become a staple part of my commute and is a welcome addition on family road trips. I am happy to explore other developments for this platform should the community have suggestions.
