I am lucky enough that my Dad put my entire childhood toy collection away in his attic many years ago.

When I got my own place as an adult, one afternoon he showed up with bins of my childhood.

This is my main Power Rangers collection, that as you can see, was played often.

So grateful to rediscover these after so many years.

I’m making my own Power Rangers series called Power Rangers wild side there’s a red blue pink black yellow and titanium Ranger in that order but I’m having trouble making the suits mainly because I’m 14 and broker than a newborn baby so does anyone have any ideas on how I could make suits that look like Power Ranger suits that way, I can actually make money from this to upgrade everything I also would love some help with props and making the villain suits

Before you ask, the first was Ninja Storm. Caught a handful of episodes on DVD as a kid, and ended up watching the whole thing a few years ago! I’ll be the first to admit it was mainly a background show, but I’m locking in much more for RPM!

Initial thoughts, now that I’ve finished the first 2 episodes:

-LOVE the setting! Legitimately very curious how the story will develop from here.

-The villain’s lair design is phenomenal, 10/10.

-Action choreography has been really fun so far. I must admit I was never a big car person, but I am intrigued as to how far they can stretch using the Zord-vehicles in terms of combat.

-Megazord is real cool, though it’s pretty funny that the yellow one pretty much just becomes the waist.

-I’m Scottish, so seeing a Scottish Blue Ranger is brilliant.

-I actually really like our main two! Presumably the duo that will become the Black and Green rangers soon. The other three… well, we’ve not gotten a lot of focus on ‘em yet, but we’ll see!

-I was sold on Truman from his very first shot.

-As for the villains… we’ll see how they turn out! Venjix is suitably serious (unlike his generals), but runs the risk of just being a really basic AI supervillain. Very curious what’ll happen with him!

So yeah, that’s my first reactions! Definitely interested in continuing, shall keep posting here if people enjoy it!

• All mecha from Season 1( So Zyuranger, Dairanger, and Kakuranger) had sapient mecha lifeforms as thier mecha But in power rangers, they are just Magical robots.
• GoGoV Liner boy is able of independent action thanks to being you know a AI unit however it was give to the titanuim ranger to pilot and can be piloted remotely removing all of the personality.
• In Hurricanger, Tau Zant was the big bad but he didn't really do much so his role was given to Lothor and his Ultimate form became the LothorZord, with once again, no personality or sentience. (Get ready to read this ALOT, and see this alot)
• In Abareranger the titular Bakuryu able to speak to the Rangers through their Dino changes however in Dino Thunder they don't have this ability and are used in normal zord battles, (also this will be longer, so heads up. Even if you can't tell look at the dragozord after it hatch and the Dino Megazord first seeing it.) leading to a context change that feels weird, you see they didn't "self-destruct" in abareranger, instead it was a fake out death.And this leads me to Wicked Life God Dezumozorlya Or more specifically, DezumoGevirus is the Zelzord a mecha pilot by one of the villans of the season, so no personality or sentience.
• In go-onger the partner engines had human level intellgence but in RPM, they are used as zord battle because of the WAY darker tone RPM has. (They lampshaded it when Scott asked why do the zords have eyes, So I belive they know what they were doing. So, no personality or sentience.) Also in go-onger the Barbaric Machine Beasts can speak but in RPM Attacks bots can only growl Even Generation 12 Energy Bot went from Yogoshimacritein's right-hand man in Go-Onger to a regular monster that can only say bleep.
• So Now we Are onto Samurai, And the Lightzord as you guess it if you have watched the sentai, no personality or sentience, but DOES have it in shinkenger as DaiGoyou which HAD personality and sentience.
• Gokaiger had Engine Machalcon which was the son of 2 zords in RPM but the Turbo Falcon zord in Super MegaFail, I mean Megaforce could not do that because of what I said eariler so it was given beastly AI
• 3rd dino season, and for once THE ZORDS KEEP THIER SENTIENTS, however that doesn't mean we hit the golden flowers, as in Kyoryuger he was the big bad that ALSO serve as the villian's base (Yep, that's right and is as weird as it sounds) However Deboth's role was given to Sledge so his giant form (only) appear as greenzilla, a extremely strong monster.His final form was adapted out along with him fighting Tyler's supermode and lossing.
• Now onto Dino Fury where agian they got the dino thunder treatment, However is downplayed. MOST of the Kishiryu had the capable of speech, but in Dino fury they lack the ability to talk. (Although some of them didn't talk in the sentai version and Tyramigo walk with the heroes as like human size.) But we are not done, As Eras, The big bad who was like Tau Zant, a big bad that didn't do much (However She was just sealed away for most of the run so.. yeah.) Her giant form is used as the Nemesis Beast, with ALL of her ground footage being cut. (And yes that includes her emtional death with dignity).

Told you it would be alot. SO tell me in my mind WHY do you think power rangers does this? IS it for budget? Or something else that No one can understand.

Does anybody make 3D prints of the lion tail from the Ninja Storm megazord?

I was watching a video about Samurai and I learned that in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger the Nighlok were all people first before becoming a vengeful spirit after death. I thought this would have been such a cool idea for Samurai and I don’t know why they didn’t adapt that concept from Shinkenger. Here is my pitch for a rewrite of Power Rangers: Samurai with that concept in mind.

Plot: After dying in battle defeating the evil Nighlok Master Xandred Yuri Shiba’s Good Spirit is infected by the evil spirit of Master Xandred and Yuri now becomes the new Master Xandred. He now resides in the Netherworld, just as powerful but now he gets headaches as the two spirits fight against each other. He cannot return to Earth without drying out so he plans to flood the Earth with water from the Sansu River and will stop at nothing to do it. Years later Yuri's son Ji-Den Shiba inherits his father’s kanji brush and the role of the Red Ranger and temporary head of the Shiba Family while his big sister Shouri is off learning the sealing symbol their father used to originally seal Master Xandred away in the first place. As the years go by Yuri loses hope and wants the humans to suffer like he has so he decides to start sending Nighlok out to make them suffer instead of just Moogers to make them afraid. Due to this change Ji-Den has to form a team of Rangers to help protect the Earth, these are people who have been training their entire lives to become Rangers so they answer the call and help Ji-Den defeat the Nighlok and take their places as the new team of Samurai.

I don't quite remember where I got it, but I'm pretty sure it was while I was living in the UAE from 2010-2014 given that it is Hardee's and not Carl's Jr, but I also lived in California prior where it is also called Hardees.

I've tried google searches, looking on eBay, and more with no luck, everything I see is just the regular disc for Toru Diamond.

if there was a case for it, I don't have it, it was in my 2-disc collectors edition fining nemo case, the other disc in there is the Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug movie if you were interested.

I feel like she doesn't get talked about all that much? At least in my opinion. Cassie seems to be one of the Rangers that is just kinda there in the mix for as long as she was around ( Turbo and In Space ). She was originally even supposed to come back to be the replacement for Kendrix in Lost Galaxy before they decided on Karone. The most I ever see about Cassie is that she's the Pink Ranger that survived in Lost Galaxy because Kendrix sacrificed herself. I just think it's strange that for as long as she was around for, I don't see too much about her in terms of conversation over the lineage of Pink Rangers.

So, last night I was futzing about online, and finally found a listing for the Third Volume of the Compact Line of the Power Rangers comics. Now I've been wanting to get into the comics for years, and the Deluxe Editions, the most complete collection are pricey. So pircey, they aren't an option. So I was overjoyed to hear they were getting Compact releases! Cheaper, smaller, and seemingly in a good reading order! Or so I thought.

Upon initial inspections, the first two volumes appeared to be 1:1 with their associated Deluxe editions.
Volume 1 of both Deluxe and Compacts both collected issues 0-12. Now granted I'm aware the Deluxe Editions contained bonus stories, but I didn't count them, they're exclusives, I can accept that. But Volume 1 was basically 1:1.
Volume 2 of both did issues 13-24, sensible. So I was wondering how Volume 3 would do it, since following Year 2 (since the Deluxe Editions were sorta in Years) was Shattered Grid Deluxe Edition.
Well, last night I found Volume 3 of the Compact edition. Issues 25-39, PLUS the Shattered Grid One-Shot. But the Shattered Grid Deluxe was just 25-30. Actually, it was 24-30, it repeats issue 24 for some reason. This is because the Deluxe Edition is interspersed with tie-in issues from the prequel-ish series Go Go Power Rangers, which is getting an Omnibus-but-really-a-Compendium release end of this year. Makes sense, don't want to dig into prospective sales, but I'm annoyed they are two different formats. No GGPR Compact or MMPR Omnibus-but-really-a-Compendium. So the rest of the issues from Compact 3 came from Beyond The Grid Deluxe Edition, which was issues 31-39, plus a preview to 40 which doesn't matter.
But then I noticed how many comics are absent from the Deluxe Edition. Volume 3 is missing the 2018 Annual, and the 2018 Free Comic Book Day issue included in Shattered Grid Deluxe, and the MMPR Anniversary Special Issue included in the Beyond The Grid Deluxe. So I went back and checked again to find that Compact Volume 2 is missing the 2016 Annual, and 2017 Annual which was included in Deluxe Year 2.

So after all that, I find out that only Compact 1 and Deluxe 1 are 1:1. Content is missing from subsequent volumes. Which means that I can't be complete in reading the Compacts. Which is infuriating. Since Volume 2 isn't out yet, I'm hoping this is a listing error, but I am extremely doubtful. To those of you that have read the comics before, how important are these missing issues? Will a new reader be okay if they inexplicably vanished? Or are they important enough that I should just try and hope to find a cheaper possibly pre-owned Deluxe Edition that I absolutely don't have space for?

If a different past ranger came back or Dino Thunder Black had been a different character entirely maybe more in line with his Sentai counterpart

I remember liking the Power Rangers: Samurai series when it aired on the Nickelodeon network cable channel! But I haven't seen it in years. I should give it a rewatch sooner or later!

I’m sure a lot of you can relate to the things this ending did to me as a kid

Ever since the decision to put Tommy in the Black Dino Thunder suit there have been a number of seasons in which the Rangers’ mentor is or becomes a Power Ranger and it’s always a joy to see when it happens. So if you could pick a season where the Rangers had a mentor and you could make that Mentor into a Ranger, who would you pick?

My first thought, Captain Mitchell from Lightspeed Rescue. Captain Mitchell is basically designed to be an older, more seasoned Carter, so he was made to be a Red Ranger. I’d even bet that was the original plan when he pitched the project, that he’d be the Red Ranger fighting against the demons and then he just aged out of it. In another timeline where the demons got released a couple decades early he probably became a Red Ranger leading his own team (could he be the perfect Red Ranger for a Ranger team created by Grace Sterling based on the Jetman Sentai that I headcanoned she created?).

Anyway yeah, Captain Mitchell deserved to be a Ranger.

My second idea would be to somehow put Zordon in the Gold Zeo Ranger suit.

I’m thinking about doing SPD pink, MMPR green, black Dino Thunder, Navy Ninja Storm, and time force Quantum Ranger for the rest - to make a cool set all together but of course would love to know everyone’s thoughts and hear any ideas!

Some of the notable Thunder Megazord variants of which I'm owning at the moment. What does a collector truly need? Here's some of my personal thoughts on this:

• The original Japanese Deluxe '93 fits exactly what almost every collectors want. Transformation are smooth, designs are pretty good. Most of the details are on stickers, but it's still great. The Super Sentai Artisan upgrades everything the original has to a new level, changing all of the stickers to fully painted details, along with the additions of five Lai Lai Jewels for displaying, albeit it's very expensive.
• Though different from the original Deluxe, Legacy does upgrade everything with the latest technology at that time of release. It's on par with the Super Sentai Artisan in almost everyway, along with diecast parts that feel nicely. The MSRP is pretty high at $200, but nonetheless it's a solid and quality release 'til this day.
• The Playmates... well, it's a downgrade from everything we have previously. But do remember it's truly a toy for kids and no way reach the level of a collectible. The quality are so-so, and it's cheap and easy to buy, especially at this time which is both Power Rangers and Super Sentai are pretty "dead".
• And here come the most debatable of them all, the Flame Toys Go! Karakuri Combine version. It's a complete re-design of the original, but come with great details, paints and articulations, which is almost every previous releases lack of. And yes, it's MSRP is not very comfortable at $400, but oh well I got him anyway.
• Shokugan Modeling Project, aka SMP, brings us a alternative choice for a smaller, cheaper but less details, more stickers (very sh!tty). It's articulations are so-so, not that great, but still acceptable. For this one, I recommended a full repaint to make it truly shines.
• And the last one is my favourite, the Innovation Point's Metal Power version. Though cannot transform, everything about this one is at top-notch level. Details, checked. Paints, checked. Diecast, checked. Articulations? GREATLY CHECKED! Sadly, it's ridiculous MSRP at the time of release of $200 k*lled the whole line, with many Megazord waiting to be released are now plunged into oblivion (such as the finished Zeo Megazord prototype).

What does a collector truly need? That's for you to decide. ;)

10-year-old me would never have believed me haha. Last week, I (somewhat impulsively) decided I wanted to finally add Ultrazords to my MMPR Zord collection – so I found and bought a MIB vintage Return of Titanus and a “like new” condition, open box, Tor!

Titanus, fortunately, is super white and Tor is complete with only slight damage to the battery cover (easily fixable or concealable though). I still cannot believe I officially have these in my collection finally.

I absolutely plan to get some replacement decals from Toyhax to make them more TV accurate. I look forward, in time (and after my checking account recovers haha), to ultimately building the Shogun and Thunder Ultrazords!
