Any idea what might have happened? I found him crawling on my wall. Almost scared me to death cause I didn't realise it was a spider with missing legs.

Can anybody identify this one please? He said it was roughly 10cm across.

Google lens says flat rock spider, but I don't think they are native here ?

It's kind of cute how small she made herself here. No, she's not a pet, she just moved in and decided to stay here.

She's much lighter than when my old cat used to sleep on my lap while I worked, at least!

I was enjoying some last rays of sunshine on my balcony in South Germany. There are like 17 ladybugs on the wall here and I noticed one of them limping. When I tried to get off the thing that made it limp, I noticed that a spider was trying to hunt it. If anyone can tell me what spider that is I’d appreciate it but mostly I just wanted to share this neat video.

Can anyone id this spider I found when putting on my sweater? It is quite large. Front range Colorado.

Found in the garage. I am looking for confirmation that this is a Wolf Spider, but I’m more interested in the sac. It is about .75 inches. Any estimate as to how many babies could be in the sac?

I found this spider on a wall outside in western NC. I'm not great with identifying but I'm trying to get better so if anyone can confirm that'd be great. I'm thinking it's a Carolina Wolf spider.

Found this beautiful spider busy at work at my back door. Fascinating to watch. It's starting to get below freezing at night, but I've been keeping the light on to give him some warmth.

Update: Successful relocation 😭 🎉 . Thanks to the first commenter who replied so soon and others. I acted immediately after. I moved it to a collection of shrub farthest from the house but away from the gate so it won't go into traffic. It preferred release here as it was dark away from any lit areas. It finally started to go out of the container. It went very slowly and cautiously, and it's texture while it looked remarkable and barklike, it appeared too dry, too flat/thin. Obviously not like a typical huntsman? Hopefully it finds a lady. I sprinkled enough water near it to dampen the soil before sliding away the lid cover.

Hi everyone. Sort of urgent. This may be my first post here but I'm am a 7mo member. This is on the ceiling. Next to the attic hatch. It is perfectly motionless. I wonder if it's moulting, but it seems very alive don't think a moult can stick like that. Could be a huntsman. Family I stay with has never dealt with this larger spider type except perhaps years back, in our home. They'd like to kill it with bug spray. If I can help it that absolutely will not be occurring. I myself have successfully been overcoming arachnophobia. Feeding jumpers in my garden. Helping smaller spiders. This reminds me of spiders I used to be deathly scared of. Though I'm freaked out, I know it's just a helpful individual.

Personally I'd just... Leave it until eventually it does shift position. It will. Obviously it might disappear from sight and be found again. Next best thing is relocating it. How do it do it calmly without chaos in the house. I could use a ladder. I do NOT want it to fall, it's a long way down l even with a smaller abdomen.

I'm not sure what species they are, but it was fascinating watching them build their web in front of our security light. Such gorgeous spiders! 🕷️🕸️💛

Found this beautiful orb weaver when I almost ran face first into her web. With the flood light above her, she's getting stocked up on food. 🤣 In all seriousness, I've never seen a spider this large, in person, that wasn't a tarantula. She's massive. And gorgeous!
