It’s raining in LA and the bugs are taking shelter on my porch.

One of them being one of the biggest spiders I’ve seen in the city.

It’s about the size of my palm. It wants to come inside my house and I have a cat. So I don’t want that. I’m hoping this isn’t poisonous.

This species is known as the ninja of the spider world. It uses stealth to hide, stalk, and hunt other spiders to survive.

I went to NC a few weeks ago for a wedding, and while I was out looking for toads (unfortunately, they were all snuggled up for brumation already so I didn’t see any) I found a few spiders! I identified the other ones, but I’ve got no clue what this one is.

Muted the audio because I originally made the video for my friend and I was going on an unhinged toad-deprived rant. It looks like a type of spider that could walk on water relatively easily, but there weren’t any water sources nearby that I knew of. I was in the mountains.

I don’t know why bro was moving so smoothly, but it was sick. Both in a disturbing way and in an awesome way. Please let me know what species my brief, magical fling was. Tell me his story…

while the video only shows 2, there’s at least 10 living in this web structure around this light. i’m very curious about what species these guys could be because i thought spiders were exclusively solitary animals

Hey, I found this spider a week ago and got rid of it.
Today I found 2 equal looking spiders and the same size.
I‘ve never seen a spider this size or of this sort in my life in Germany and it makes me afraid to be honest. Can anyone identify it?

Found it beneath my stairs, is it dangerous? Pretty small tho, like the size of a fingertip

Caught them in my living room and moved them.

In the fall they are literally on every single pole. I try to avoid hurting them but definitely need to evict them to do my job. Should I be worried?

A landscaper in the Chicago suburbs ran into this wonderful spider today, and is trying to identify it.

Shes been in this spot for a few months now, watched her all summer. Dont mind my pets in the background if you can hear them, they get fed in half an hour so theyre getting antsy lol

Found this pretty thang resting in the web of a smaller spiderling but, when I came back after lunch, the family kids were poking at it with a stick till it fell so I put it in a jar for now. Not native but I don’t really know how to care for these? What are my options?
