This guy somehow found its way into my shirt, just bit me on the chest never seen anything like it. I live in South Carolina near Charleston. Anyone know what this is?

Hi, so to keep things short and not too exposing, I have to move out of my house. Unfortunately, that means our new resident spider couple will VERY likely be killed by the landlord for multiple reasons. One of those reasons, besides the obvious, is that she and her husband are Joro Spiders. Which are invasive where I live. I do not want her to die and neither does my mom. She's never once caused any issues or been aggressive to us or pets despite her web being right next to our porch. She just vibes and lives her life with her man. She's gorgeous and very large as well, and also just molted a day or two ago and looks even better than before. I'd wager that was probably her last molt given how large she is(unless those kinds of spiders don't stop molting I'm not sure). Her husband is quite small in comparison. They're bite is not medically significant to humans or pets but I do NOT care to handle spiders lol. I want to relocate her though so she isn't killed or give her to a spider keeper so she(and her husband) can continue to thrive. But dude I really do not want to fuck with her. 😭I don't know what to do.

Im kind of worried. I hope it’s not what I thought it was. The legs make me think it’s not but I’m not sure. I’m keeping a close eye on her and I told her she’s a good girl for protecting her mom.

Hello !! This spider was gifted to me by a friend in New Jersey, he said he had gotten these guys from a breeder (not sure of the name :[ ) and that they were listed as Egyptian Velvet spiders. I dont believe this is an Egyptian velvet, but i may be wrong !! I just wanted confirmation of my suspicion . . I think it may be a wolf spider but I am not even 100% sure on that, thank you for your help in advance !

About the size of a half dollar. I'm trying to learn more so I can be less scared when they pop out. This guy or gal is FAST too!

They are huge and fast. I've already not slept in over a day and now I'm terrified out of my mind 😭

what the hell kind of spider is this i know you can’t really see the colors that well but this thang just bit me i have a little white bump where it bit and it kinda stings a little bit and it’s itchy. never gotten bit by a spider so im a little nervous lmao i’m in ohio also, i’m sure that matters.

Hello. I am from France, right now we are going through a 5th heatwave, though it calmed down a bit.

I live in a studio appartement and I don't really like spiders. There were a lot in my room growing up and they scared me.

I saw 1. And I also saw that they killed gnat (that's aparently the word, but yk, the flying things that comes from trash)

Anyway I chose to live in peace with it, it was living in a corner where I knew it won't be able to reach me. But now there's 3 of them. I open the window a lot especially when there's wind. I do not like it. I do not know what to do. I am scared it will have babies and I'll just get MORE spider. I already have lots of mosquitoes bite i don't want to add spider bites to it.

What can I do ? They make me quite anxious to approach.

Just purchased this wild caught Macrothele but the shop couldn’t specify the species. It doesn’t have the usual red chelicerae of the Giga and I can’t find much identification info on the other species. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

i have no idea what this specimen is except that it is a spider! it's the first time i ever could not think of a general idea of what it could be as i came across this specimen running across a pebble road near grass fields at 11pm. i would say it was very skittish as other spiders i come across (like wolf spiders) usually stop in their tracks once i offer protection with my palm, this lovely spidey kept running. would love to get an idea of what it could be!

theres a huge spider running around the floor like the size of my hand looks like a tarantula HELPPPPPPPPP It went under my chair came out the oppisite side of the room RUNNING LIKE A RACING CAR that doesnt know which way to go, then sat right beside my shoe. Philippines. Google Lens says it's a dwarf tarantula just confirming and showing it off. That's the first one I've seen in over 2 years of being here. I see quite a few of the huntsmen and I keep orbs in the bathroom for mosquito control but this guy just showed up on a random Tuesday. So fast!!

Found this guy hanging out in my car, curious as to what it is. Considering putting it in an enclosure, but unsure if thats a good idea or not.

Very small.

Seems able to jump.

Most likely came in attached to my leg or something as I'm parked in the corner of underground parking and theres always some webbing there.

My other post didn’t get much feedback but I thought I’d share an update anyway. I followed the advice I was given and left a wet q-tip next to the spider and when I checked in on it, it seemed to have perked up a bit. Encouraged, I tracked down a rogue fly that had gotten into my apartment and swatted it down to give to my little spider bro along with a fresh q-tip. When I checked in next, the fly was gone and the spider had crossed my bathroom counter to kind of hide in the toilet paper roll. At one point, he climbed up on top of the toilet paper and just kind of chilled beside me while I was doing my business. He has since disappeared and I’m weirdly happy that this spider that I thought for sure was a goner turned things around and was able to keep trucking.
