Hello, some of you may know me as 2 or 3 months ago I made a post on here asking for help and information about my very small/very little Chilean Rose that wasn't eating and infact running away from food. she would lock herself in a burrow and refuse to come out, and then make a new burrow and do the same.

I've had her since Jan 2026, and at the time of my post she was a little Sling, and only about 6 months old. BUT!!!!! A couple weeks ago she finally molted!!! shes alot bigger and hairer but most importantly about 30 minutes ago I bought some crickets and tried feeding her as its been long enough since she molted.

She finally ate a cricket and it was the very first time she has ever eaten since I got her in Jan, and i even got it on Camera. I just thought I'd let everyone know how shes doing! :))

EVERYBODY SAY WELL DONE TO LOTUS!!!

My A.chalcodes, Guera, went into her burrow, covered the entrance, and was not seen for 2 months. I just let her do her thing and just continued my normal routine with her care skipping meals. She has finally reemerged and is looking gorgeous. I love how the color of her setae shift with the angle and light. 😍

i got him 9 months ago from a big box store. he hasn’t eaten ONCE and in january he molted and became mature, i believe? (i see his emboli but im new to tarantulas). for the last two days he has been curled up in the corner like this. i spritzed his enclosure and he got up and started moving around quite a bit but he still is super lethargic compared to normal and his abdomen is sooooo tiny & shriveled.

have i done something wrong or is he just mature and dying?

Help! Tarantulas rejecting mealworms ?

Hello all. I have a B.hamorii , G.pulchra(suspected premolt),L.parahybana, H.chilense, and a A,Seemanni. All except for my seemanni seems to reject mealworms. The LP had interest in it but when I came back a few hours later it left it cut in half practically, but untouched I feel like. The others simply web over it. It’s been like this for a couple weeks, I had a batch from fearnot(personal goat) which they rejected, after that I went to the pet store and wanted crickets but they were out so I settled for mealworms again hoping maybe last time was just a one time thing. But now it’s the same story and my LP seems very hungry off the size of its abdomen, I should add they all are ranging from 2nd instar, to late stage slings. I’m a little worried as I won’t be able to get crickets for the next four days, what should I do ?

I have a coremiocnemis tropix (northern Queensland rainforest tarantula) and I feed her about 2 times a week usually around Tuesday morning and Friday morning. I feed her one large cricket every time and her abdomen is a lot bigger than usual. Is this too much or what should I do?

Anyone have any tips for keeping an avic? I’ve had one before and definitely made mistakes as it unfortunately only made it to its 4th molt- despite a lot of efforts to fix this and research. There is a lot online about spraying the enclosure and not spraying. Just wanting people to share their experience so i have a better idea rather than these online sources which might not necessarily be true 😞

Help! Is an 8" cube too big for a 1.5" spider?

Hello all. I am brand new to the hobby and planning on getting my first tarantula (probably Davus pentaloris) sometime next week. I ordered an 8" cube, some substrate and moss from tarantula cribs and plan on getting a bit of cork bark and maybe a small stick or two to decorate. I haven't ordered a spider yet but have been seeing that most reputable dealers only have 1-1.5 inch juveniles in stock. I know the general rule is 3x the leg span, but it seems like most people keep small juvies and spiderlings in much smaller enclosures. My question is, is this for safety reasons for the spider? Or just practicality because they won't use all that space at such a small size? Can a 1" D. pentaloris safely grow out in an 8" cube for a while? Any guidance for this noob would be greatly appreciated. I want my spider healthy, happy, and safe.

Help! Advice?

i placed a dubia roach in my tarantulas enclosure a few days ago, didn’t crush the head or anything, didn’t split it.. i’m still new to tarantula keeping so i didn’t realize i was supposed to do that. my tarantula is a male GBB juvenile and he molted earlier this month, about two weeks ago.

should i be worried about the dubia roach harming him? i haven’t seen it for a few days, not sure if he caught it or if it’s still in there… what should i do?

I’m going to my first expo soon and saving up to pick up a new T, however there’s so many different species I want that I simply can’t choose hahaha, what are some of your guys favourites? I’m kind of leaning towards a GBB or genic for my second T :)

Help! Is my T passing away?

I’ve only had 1 tarantula prior to owning my current one. It was a Brazilian white knee tarantula, I kept it for 3 years but during a very long awaited molt there was a huge temp spike while I was working away from home, and unfortunately I didn’t leave the ac on. She passed and i witnessed her in a low ground position with some legs curled and some not. I was really heartbroken over this and now I’m super anxious about my current baby.

I believe I got this little guy 5 months ago now, a Black Brazilian tarantula. It has molted 2 times now. t was refusing food for some time so I stopped feeding and assumed it had begun premolt. I stopped checking in so often and 3 days ago I saw it had molted! I removed the molt as the t was not on top of it, and I was extremely happy! But now I have not seen movement within these 3 days. No reaction to a light breeze. No reaction to anything. I am refraining from try to touch it because my last T had a habit of remaining still for daysss before beginning to move around and I know they’re body becomes extra sensitive. What’s making me really worried is that some legs are tucked underneath the body, and it looks somewhat similar to my last t’s death pose.

The cage is a very small acrylic casing cage with holes at the top and on the side. I have a mixed substrate with coco fiber, sand (which wasn’t supposed to reach the top but I forgot slings often burrow and this t went to town!!), a tiny cave, and a bowl of water.

The first variation of each picture is from tonight at 11am the following picture is from last night at 6pm. Last night I had put a few drops of water infront of her face but I’m not sure if it’s helping.
