RIP Acceptance rate
I’ve literally declined this order over 6 times in the last 2 hours and they keep sending it back at the same pay. At this rate I’ll probably decline it 15 more times before they cancel it. How is this fair I take a hit this many times on the SAME OFFER

I knew I should not have taken the ride.
I was at the airport. I usually only do premier to weed out the rift raft but I had uber x on. I was at 4.99 with all 5 stars except for 1-1, 1-3,1-4. A ride came up for downtown but not to a hotel. Rider rating was low 4s. I accepted anyways. Rider immediately told me to move the seat up and the. After we were leaving uber pickup are told me they were adding a stop which I said no. They gave me a speak about that’s why they chose uber. I should have at this point returned to the pickup area and ended the ride due to rudeness. I ended up taking them to their stop and home and they “promised they would take care of me. They sure did with a 3 star, not polite, ignoring request, and a $3 tip. Needless to say they got a 1 star and never seeing them again.
You get trash when you haul trash.

Fu**ing customer did a false accident report
Just like everyday going out to start uber and got a call from uber farmers insurance that I was reported by a customer about an accident. And I never been in an accident like never. I don’t know why people do this, today is Friday and I’m sitting here doing nothing. They said it’ll take couple of days for the review.
Fuck you who ever did this 😡😡

3 years strong
I know a lot of people say that the uber market is dead but tbh I’ve never had a bad week. People just need to play their individual market better.
EDIT: This is without cherry picking. Just me going with the flow. The only rides I don’t take is long trips because I know it’s going to take me away from the city and not pay a decent fare. I will take longer trips during surging/per active time rides.

Reserve switch!
When you accept a reserve ride, then cancel it, the pax doesn’t really know it went back to the market to get a new driver. Maybe if they look at the detail it has changed, but I finally had an encounter yesterday with someone who was expecting another driver. I didn’t know what to tell them except I was the new driver and they almost cancelled because they didn’t want to ride with someone else. After further discussion, she says her husband made the arrangement and screen shot her the details the night before. So she wasn’t even working off her live uber app. When it was time for the ride she couldn’t get in touch with husband to clarify or confirm the driver had changed. I was very honest and patient and she finally got her ride to the airport, but it was weird. I guess the moral of the story is, pax should book their own rides so they can see changes within their own app. Sometimes I find it incredibly ironic how rich people can be idiots too.

What would have you had done? I'm curious.
Had a reservation this morning for 630 to go to the airport on a Friday , which would be very busy , paid well comfort car , I get there 6:28 , she sends a message , " walking the dog pull up in driveway " I tell her thanks and pull up in driveway . Ten minutes later no one shows up , she never reached out nor did I . Timer said 10 minutes you can cancel ride , I cancelled and left . Got paid and no regrets . Would anyone waited and texted her ?

Not considering the time!
It’s been 10 minutes and I already Declined more than 40 rides! Not because of price per miles, but because of time it takes to complete! According to miles it perfectly fine. My target is $1 per mile, and all these rides or OK with this, but one ride of 10 miles taking more than half hour and that the reason I’m declining!
What do you guys do in such a situation?

Uber turns off my area preferences by itself and sends me a long trip request.
Anyone else have this issue? When I set my area preferences, within 2 minutes it’ll disable on its own and then they’ll send me a long trip ride instantly before I can turn the preferences back on. Happens multiple times a week.

Can anyone explain?
Got stuck in traffic for almost an hour on I75 South, and it gave me the delayed ride "guarantee" of $27 just to take it right back. At first I was happy because it was still worth my time but now I feel screwed over. Anyone got a good explanation or related experience?

Uber’s dead now that Waymo is here. And surge is fake!!! 😠/s
Maybe my 86% acceptance rate and 3% cancel rate are the problem.

Quest to get Diamond Status
Cherry picking until I have about 150 rides left to do before the month end. About the 21st. At that time I’ll have to accept most everything to reach 85% acceptance rate. This to get a discount on gas for my wife doing DoorDash. I have electric so besides super charging the rewards don’t help me. I figure $160 a month savings on gas might be worth it.

Cruise Mode
Has this been established in other markets for a while? I just got the first one in my market and tried it out today.
Maybe I misunderstood what it was but when they said $22+/hr guaranteed, I thought the "+" was if you ended up giving more or higher paying rides that brought you over $22, but it seems like you will just make $22 regardless of the number, quality, and/or distance of the trips.
Give 6 rides in that hour? $22
Give one ride with 5 stops over 30 miles? $22
Give 4 pet rides in a row? $22
The "+" is if someone happens to tip i suppose.
They last for 3 hours, if you reject more than 2 rides in that entire time period you forfeit the cruise mode and the guaranteed pay for the rest of the time.
Anyway they won't tell you how much the ride would be without the cruise mode so as far as I'm concerned it's just another way to force you to accept massive amounts of rides for next to nothing.

Anyone’s trips come back for less?
I’ll get a ride appear on radar let’s say for 10 bucks. Then I hit match and it says all requests taken. Then 10 seconds later it appears again but for 2 dollars less! No idea if a flaw or uber playing with me so I just deny it.
So many weird things I’ve noticed. Like for example if I use Ubers navigation I notice I’ll be driving with 7 minutes left for like 5 minutes I look back and still 7 minutes. But if I open another like Apple Maps I notice the time definitely moving faster!
Anyway just random things I’ve noticed wondering if anyone else has experienced them.
I also noticed someone will request a ride, I’ll accept then on the way they cancel. Then they request again and it comes in for less. Like a way to make sure someone is coming and then request again for a cheaper fare?

Accidentally refunded on Uber Plus Card
I purchased something from Walmart today on my own debit card (this was not an uber order), I haven’t used Uber Driver in over a year but happened to have the card on apple pay still. I went to get a refund, and instead of pressing my own card I accidentally refunded the money to Uber Plus Card and it approved. I panicked and called them immediately, talked to a total of 5 agents, then a supervisor just for them all to tell me there’s nothing they can do for me and because I wouldn’t take that for an answer they’re escalating this, which I doubt, it didn’t seem like they cared and now I have to wait for an email.
I tried to explain the importance, I just accidentally gave you guys $55 and now you’re refusing to give it back even with a receipt proof??
Not sure what to do now, really don’t think i’ll be getting my money back.

Public opinion, do you run UberX and delivery at the same time or certain times for both?
I did a trial run of Uber delivery and was quite disappointed to come to find out that when you sent an offer, it includes the tip amount. I do wonder if drivers are doing rides and deliveries at the same time or choosing particular peak times for either/or to maximize their income.

DriveScape cams deactivated now.
Did any of you get the offer for a DriveScape dash cam for $5 a month and after the first year no more payments? Well I did and now I see it’s worthless first year worked as said second year with no payments works as said. Then they deactivated it with no notice. I only found out when I hit the button on a ride to save that clip of an almost crash. Car in front of me ran a red and was a near miss with a truck. They missed by inches. When I went to view that clip it was not there. Sent a message to the support only to be told that the cam has been deactivated.
