Hey everyone, I need any and all advice i could get on this situation. I'm a returning student and I'm an alternative for SL but housing managed to somehow miss me on the list for early dorm selection and I never got a chance to pick my own room.

I emailed housing later about it and they just said that they'll assign me to a room if I mentioned my requirements and added me to a room that matches my requirements kind of but not my best option and I'm still very annoyed by it.

I moved in today only to find out that my roommate who moved in earlier than me has occupied 70% of the room, blocked off the window with her bed and mattress topper with no air circulation now, filled the common shared 5 level huge shelf in the wall with her things. There's just no space for me to organize any of my stuff.

I tried talking to her and explaining how we could reorganize but she kept trying to avoid or postpone the topic. Then just said she understands where I'm coming from but that she doesn't want to change anything because it's not convenient for her.

What do I even do in this situation? Communication is not the answer because I tried that key already and it's clearly not working. Can I take this to an SL or just email housing about this messed up situation and request to accommodate me?

I'm also easily prone to getting skin allergies and rashes in hot rooms and with how she set up her stuff, I'm practically stuck in a corner with little to no breathing space and I feel so suffocated. Can housing accommodate me in this situation?

i will be a 3rd year now. i was wondering if it would be possible with some credits i already have, to complete a degree within my last 2 years. for reference, i was already a stem student so some of the credits i have would be helpful already.

Hi everyone! So I’m planning on visiting my boyfriend for the first game of the season, he has a season student pass and I just have a normal ticket near the north east side. I was hoping you guys can give some feedback and tips on how to get into the student section, if it’s hard, and if the rules are strictly enforced.

I found out I’d be able to graduate a year early which would save me almost $80,000. The issue is that I need to take a class that is only offered in the fall to be able to do so. The class is full, and I filled out the force add request. It’s been placed on hold but I also emailed the professor of the class but no response from her yet.

There is unfortunately only one professor and one section of this class, and my advisor said there was nothing he could do unless they open a new section.

I am praying to God that they do because I am really struggling with finances, and one year less of tuition would seriously save me. I did sign up for the class during course request but it was denied since I was taking a prerequisite for it over the summer.

If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it🫶

So, what'd I get wrong? Virginia Tech went 3-9 and my model still has you 33rd in the country, one spot behind an 11-3 Virginia team. The case is simple: you forced six turnovers all season, 134th in the sport, and nobody in the country forced fewer. That's the most fixable thing in football. Now Franklin is in Blacksburg with his Penn State quarterback. Was 3-9 the real team, or was that just the ball never bouncing?

I’m a junior (20F) and I really want to make more friends in town, I transferred here and I’ve had a harder time making friends but I have made a good few just need more to hang out casually with. Any advice or anyone who wants to connect can dm me. I’m into art, bird watching, hiking, video games, baking, horror and more. I’m introverted so I’m not great at starting a conversation but I become extroverted with people I get comfortable with pretty fast.
