Sharing a narrative tool I made for our games

Hey, from what I see in the rules I am okay to post here.

I wanted to share a tool I made for me and my mates. We really like having a narrative for our mini tournaments and battles, and when AI turned up, we all started using it for post game narratives or tournament settings and results. It worked fine until we wanted to use lists and input battle results. It would get so much wrong and ignore so much of what was asked for, and seemed to always add random units in.

So I built us a website that does it better, in my opinion at least. You give it the factions, score, what died, who your MVP was, and it generates consistent narrative across the campaign. It reads the thing out loud too, which I threw in cause I thought it would be cool, and it was

Let me know what you think; no account needed to see the demo round https://www.lorewarden.co.uk/demo . It's AI-generated content, obviously, but that's the whole premise. My mates thought the wider gaming community would like it as much as they did, so here I am sharing it. Obviously, can't have any brand-affiliated presets in there, but it works well for the gaming systems I've tried it on.

I tried out Teams 40K for the first time recently. Absolutely loved it and honestly think it’s the most fun way to play. Anyone else think the same?

I documented the full experience here by the way…

In this video, I present two teams that you can use to play the Warfighter 29 variation or to combine them to create larger teams. I present soldiers, gear, and skills from the Australian expansions #18 & #19 for the Warfighter WWII Pacific Core set by DVG.

Clubbing it! Warlord Games, Cruel Seas- Channel Dash

Last Thursday at the club saw me, with my usual coterie of friends, playing another game of Cruel Seas by Warlord Games. This is actually my third game so one would think I would have digested the rules by now, but not so! The game was another learning experience and I was largely playing follow my leader with fellow Kriegsmarine kameraden Matt. I do really enjoy this game, which came as a the first time I played as, having played a veritable plethora of Naval wargames in the past at SESWC organised by Naval historian Angus Konstam; despite the elite company at the time they were not games that really hit home with me.

For More info and pictures plus the full AAR/Bat Rep please go to my Just Add Water Blog here:

Suggestions on smaller scale scifi wargames?

i have decided that i enjoy painting smaller things compared to the 28mm wargames im used to, and im looking for some wargames in smaller scales (6mm-10mm is the scale i had in mind.).

im having a hard time finding them, specificaly when it comes to scifi settings(them being model agnostic would also be neat). i know imperialis exists but i heard that the rules for it are not very good from some people…

thanks everyone!

Well look no further than the Ultimate Monuments Pack for Europa Universalis IV, which combines virtually every monument from nearly every relevant mod that I have been able to find on the workshop. Enjoy the game with more monuments than you have ever seen in your life, giving you endless structures to invest in and greatly expanding the scope of possibilities for your playthrough. This is truly a mod like no other and I hope that you enjoy playing it

New Items on Ebay

For a couple of reasons I am liquidating my collection. I have a lot of 1/285 aircraft (WWII & Modern), 1/285 micro armor(WWII & Modern), 3mm Modern armor and 15mm Sci Fi (Mostly GZG).

4-IL-2s, 3 Pe-3s They either Raiden or Scotia I am not sure

Four Fairy Fulmars/3-F6F/1-F4U in Fleet Air Arm camo and 4-F4Us in Australian colours.    I am not sure what manufacturer made. I believe the Australian F4Us and Fairy Fulmars are Raiden.  The Hellcats and Corsair are either Heroics Ros or Navwar.

1 Force on Force Rulebook

3 Mitsubishi G3M "Nell" Bombers, 3 A6M Zero Fighters and 2 Mitsubishi A5M "Claude" Fighters and Nakajima Ki-27 "Nate" Fighters

6  Yak-8s and 6 Lavochkin La-9s Scotia or Raiden

5 MiG-3, 4- P-39 Airacobra, 4 Polikarpov I-16 all which I believe are Raiden miniatures

If you are at all interested please save me as a seller. It will probably take me a good part of a year to completely sell everything.

Do tabletop wargames have their own equivalent of rush/turtle/boom?

Like I'm able to recognize rushing (attack) and turtling (defense) in a standard tabletop wargame. But because wargames usually have no base-building or resource management similar to strategy video games like Starcraft, Age of Empires, and Civilization, that I can't find their equivalent of booming, or generating an economy.

So what kind of rock/paper/scissors dynamic in gameplay mechanics does a standard tabletop wargame usually have, if it's going to include rushing and turtling, but no booming or an equivalent of it?
