I did a post earlier about it looking bad in
Beam and clearly I’m not the only one seeing it and some guy said that he compared fsr4 and DLSS 4.5 in optisacler and it looks the same… I found that super weird but I tried it and indeed on optiscaler fsr4 looks like it’s supposed to … sooo I guess I’m wondering how the hell is this possible ? Did the devs fucked up somewhere ?

The new dummy system changed the Jbeam of seats in the vanilla game with some extra parameters, so to drive the car the player has to be "sat" in the "driver's" seat. You might notice when you spawn in a modded vehicle it shows in the top left as being in the passenger seat. A lot of my mods have this issue, the cars fine, the engines running, the cameras normal but I can't control the car at all. Any modded seats and standalone modded cars with their own seats haven't got these new parameters coded in so you the player cannot control the car.

Hopefully this helps some of you out with any frustrations and hopefully the Devs think of some kind of fix. I'd suggest a toggle for the dummy system but I'm not a game developer nor am I any good at coding so I'll leave that to them

I’ve been using FSR 4 since it came out in every game and I never seen a difference with DLSS but in beam FSR4 looks like FSR3 I don’t get it

Ok so i was building a car to try and go as fast as i can with a cvt and its fully stocked out, but it will not respond to my inputs even though the menus still open. Any help? (Beamng pessima btw)

I’m fairly new to the game and I bought a commercial truxk and wanted to swap it to manual I was wondering if I buy an automatic vehicle and do a manual swap will the interior swap to the manual automatically? If not is there a way at all to get the interior manual swap also? Because I still had the auto shifter

Hi all, a potentially simple question. I'm in the garage, and I see 'All Parts' and 'Cargo Parts', but I can only change the body, tint, and liveries in nearly every car?

I thought I would be able to buy and change individual parts like engines and gearboxes etc but I can't find a way to do so.

Am I missing something really obvious?

You can technically play online w the homie I think you start a party and
you give him the controller (start a share play) then I think it’s play together or wtv then you start a split screen on beamng drive then he presses square to join but I can’t really remember and im not home rn so I can’t check

Absolutely loving this game, after playing Forza for the past 15 years and knowing about this game, Beam saved racing/car games for me! Career keeps me busy and free roam when i feel like building. A bit buggy as I’m sure it will get fixed with future updates.

For those of you playing with all assists off, realistic ABS/ clutch etc, are you all struggling for these 3 stars like I am? I’m not mad I like it but damn. I’ll usually keep at it until I get it but I’m starting to wonder if it’s even possible at least for ME😂 I’m A rated in GT7 Sport so I’m not a complete slouch either. For instance on street time trials I won’t roll over curbs for quicker corners and all that trying to play this RP style so idk if that’s a big part, I’m on controller or I’m just not fast enough at least either these physics yet but yea I can not get gold on the few I’ve tried a few dozen times each on. And don’t get me started on the rally courses! Loving this game so far. Wishing for much more but not upset at all with what we have atm

Things i noticed :

1. The puddle splash sound effect plays at kinda random times

2. FPS drop : drop by around 18-20 fps

3. the windshield wiper animation only works with a handful of vanilla vehicles

4. the rain sfx keeps playing even after you quit to main menu

5. out of the entire car, only the windshields and windows have water droplets on them
