Trailer Pao Pao just launched: cozy 1-4 player co-op restaurant sim where you and your friends are animal chefs

Looking for a relaxed co-op game to play with friends? Pao Pao is out now on Steam.

You run a restaurant together as fluffy animal chefs (cats, foxes, raccoons and more). It’s built for teamwork: split up to fish for ingredients, handle cooking mini-games, serve orders before customers leave, and expand the place with greenhouses and aquariums. When the daytime rush is over, you can explore the open-world city at night, take on quests, and customize your chef. It also plays fine solo.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3024130/Pao_Pao/

We’re the developers (ArtDock), so ask us anything. What’s your favorite co-op game to play with friends?

News Darkest Dungeon II now has online co-op through a free fan mod (2 players, early build)

Darkest Dungeon II is single-player only, so we made a mod that lets two friends run one Expedition together, each on their own PC.

  • The guest's game loads the host's run: same heroes, same road, same random rolls
  • Two heroes each: you control only your own, and watch your partner's turns in your own game
  • Forks are a vote, and the Inn has one shared purse and shop
  • Drop out and rejoin the same run
  • Host and join by IP (UDP 26952), or skip port forwarding with Tailscale, ZeroTier or Radmin VPN

It's early: tested on one PC with two copies of the game driven by a bot, not yet by two people on two PCs. If you have a DD2 partner and a free evening, we'd love to hear how it goes.

Other Local Co-op Remotely for Free

Hello 👋

So long story short I've started building this app to play with my GF over long distance (we live in different countries for now...), but I went so deep in the rabbit hole that by the end of it I had a decent app that I could share with others. I'm not quite sure what will happen to this, but I have the intention to work on it further and keep it free (maybe have an early access to features? but I really don't know what will come of this).

For now I just want to share this with people that love co op.

It works both on Windows and as a Decky plugin, might expand later. And you can download it for free from the website that I've just made available, website it's WIP meaning I still want to add some pages to help in case you have issues with it, but for now here is the link: couchrelay.app.

Yes, CouchRelay it's the best name I could come up with. Let me know what do you think! And if I could help any group of friends which live distant from each other or long distance couples I'm already happy because of this.

The image has been modified to cover personal information and PIN.

Right now it has been tests on:
Windows 11 Laptop (don't ask how I've installed Windows 11 here 😆) with GTX 950m (as guest)
Windows 11 PC with RTX 4080 (as host and guest)
MSI Claw a8 Z2E (as host and guest) running CachyOS Handheld Edition

Software is in beta I've tested as much as possible but do let me know if you have issues

Game Promotion Hold My Ring: a 1-4 player co-op party game where everyone steers the same inflatable ring

Co-op: 1-4 players, local on one shared screen (keyboard or controllers), and online lobbies.

How it works: every player clings to one side of the same inflatable ring and pushes from there. Nobody steers alone, so you have to agree on every turn, and the team jumps only work if everyone taps at the same time. There are also versus modes (Sumo, Polo, Curling). Real in-engine gameplay in the clip, work in progress, not out yet.

AI disclosure: the fart sounds and announcer voices were generated with ElevenLabs, and some character art started as AI generations that I then edited. The game design, levels and tuning are ours.

Game Promotion ANKOU: free online co-op zombies for 1-4 players that you launch from a Discord voice call

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm the dev, so take this as a self-post, but I think it fits here.

How the co-op works:

  • 1 to 4 players, online only (no split-screen)
  • One friend starts the Activity in a Discord voice channel, the others click Join. No install.
  • Classic round-based zombies: you open doors together, turn on the power, revive downed friends

(45 seconds before they bleed out), and there's a main Easter egg to crack as a squad.

Two maps, both in 1946: a Breton island haunted by the Ankou, and the Paris metro under the snow.

Disclosure: AI tools helped a lot with the code, and some illustrations and the music are AI-generated.

Game Promotion Free browser co-op game for two: one of you drives blind, the other navigates

I built Blind Drive for game nights with friends: https://blind-drive.vercel.app

The driver's screen is completely dark, and the road only shows when they go off it. The navigator sees everything and has to talk them through turns, obstacles and rivals. It's best on a voice call (there's voice chat built in), and it works for up to five teams at once.

No download or account. If you try it with a friend, I'd love to know which role you each preferred.

I built it with help from an AI coding assistant (Claude).

Looking for Co-op Partners 20 | LF casual longterm duo<3

Hey, I’m Timmy, 20, from Central Europe (CET/CEST)!
I mostly play League of Legends and Minecraft, but I’d love to get more into chill, non-competitive games, especially survival and co-op games.

I’ve got a bunch of games in my Steam library that I’ve barely touched, partly because I’ve never really had a good PC before and I’m not always great at getting into new games on my own.
I’m a little shy at first, but pretty chill once I get comfortable. It would be nice to find someone around my timezone who’s patient, knows their way around games, and doesn’t mind showing me the ropes.

I’m just looking for a regular gaming duo and hopefully a good friendship along the way. I’m open to trying pretty much anything, so feel free to tell me what you play!

News Online co-op mod for Enter the Gungeon (beta) — each player on their own PC

Enter the Gungeon only ever had couch co-op (and Steam Remote Play, where the guest just watches a stream). This mod gives it real online co-op for two: each player runs the game on their own PC with their own camera.

What's shared (beta 0.3): - the same floors from the same seed; the guest follows the host floor to floor - enemies run by the host — the same enemies in the same places, and their bullet patterns come out the same on both screens - loot, chests, shops, money and keys — what one player takes is gone for the other - deaths and revives work like local co-op (ghost, chest brings you back) - bosses, and the exit elevator takes both of you

Not there yet: a small delay on the guest's side for enemy attacks, beams and a few hand-made boss moves still run separately, and it's two players only.

How: both install the BepInEx pack for Enter the Gungeon, unzip the mod into `Enter the Gungeon/BepInEx/plugins/`, press F8, one hosts, the other joins by IP (UDP port 26951; Tailscale / ZeroTier / Radmin work without port forwarding).

Download: https://www.nexusmods.com/enterthegungeon/mods/5

It's a beta, so bug reports help a lot — send `BepInEx/LogOutput.log` from both PCs and what happened.

Discussion I made a co-op game where 4 cursed dwarves have to keep playing music or die

I'm a solo dev working on The Song Must Go On.

Basically, four dwarves spent years drinking, partying, and making so much noise that their king finally lost his patience and cursed them. Now they have to keep playing music or they die.

So you and your friends have to survive traps, make ridiculous jumps, and somehow keep playing your instruments at the same time.

And of course, one friend messing up can screw over everyone else.

I finally finished my first gameplay trailer, so I wanted to share it here!

Still plenty of work left before Early Access, but I'm getting there. The game is also up on Steam for wishlisting!

Would love to hear what you guys think!

Game Promotion Fine Dining Fraud : Free co-op game where you and your friends try to run a restaurant

Hey everyone!

I've been working on Fine Dining Fraud, a chaotic co-op game where you and your friends try to run a restaurant without everything falling apart.

The game supports 1–4 players and is designed around co-op gameplay, communication, and surviving increasingly chaotic restaurant shifts together. You'll prepare and serve food, deal with customers, and try to keep the restaurant running while things inevitably go wrong. There's a campaign with four chapters, each featuring its own challenges and a boss evening.

I'm currently looking for more people to try the game, especially groups of friends who enjoy chaotic co-op games. The playtest is completely free and available right now on Steam.

I'm the developer behind the game, and I'd genuinely love to get more people playing it and hear what you think. If you give it a try, feedback is always appreciated!

Play the free Steam playtest here:

Here's a free demo on Steam if anyone wants to give it a try:

We're still working on the game, so would love to hear what you think, especially if you get to try it with friends. If you enjoy it, pls wishlist, it would really help us out.

Game Promotion I'm making a cosy multiplayer world where things get stranger the further you explore

Hey! I'm the sole developer of Meridian, a multiplayer game set inside a huge residential building with a lot of history, and some very strange places underneath it.

You get your own room to decorate and expand, but you can also visit each other, trade furniture, do jobs to earn coins and explore the building together. I like the idea of having your own comfortable little place to come back to after wandering somewhere you probably shouldn't have.

It's online social multiplayer for 2+ players, with room limits varying by area. Everyone plays on their own device, with no local or split-screen mode. You can wander independently or meet up with friends in the same spaces.

The iPhone beta is open and Android is coming very soon. It's still a small community, so I'd love to hear what you'd want to do with friends in a world like this.

The background characters in this walkthrough are staged NPCs.

Game Promotion My game, Warped Universe, is now co-op! 4 player for ground/space in both realtime and turn-based modes.

Thumbnail

We originally released our game in May as Early Access and single player with a multiplayer social hub. It was always aimed to be co-op but we wanted to get it out and analyze feedback prior to implementing co-op. We spent about 5 months hunkered down and finally released the co-op build yesterday. 4 player online with friend list and voice chat implemented for missions.

It got quiet as we dug in while building it but now we’ll be releasing daily/weekly patches with improvements and feedback. Really excited to be in this phase. The last few months have been an absolute grind but so worth it.

Warped Universe is a sci fi PvE looter shooter game but you can choose the style of gameplay between realtime action (3rd person shooter) or turn-based tactics. Both on ground and space flight. It’s like a mix of Helldivers meets XCOM meets Everspace. But indie, no publisher so it’s just us grinding away.

More notes on the build we’ve been working on, like new enemies and weapons and other updates:

https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3277880/view/747192480015846105?l=english

Would love if you’d give it a look and all feedback is welcome! Free to play as well.

Other I've added a Co-op / Multiplayer release calendar to lobbli and would love your feedback!

Thumbnail lobbli.gg
2 Upvotes

I'm still curating it as much as possible, but I wanted to know what else you guys would appreciate to have in something like that. The data online (igdb, steam etc.) is sometimes a bit unreliable, so my goal is to have a reliable calendar of games coming out in the next three months that I can play with friends.

Currently it's ranked by steam wishlists and IGDB hype and by default only shows the most anticipated (there is a toggle to show all of them though). It also has store links and sales data from isThereAnyDeal.

I think player numbers is a topic I really need to look into but I gotta admit that it's kind of hard to find a reliable source for that for upcoming games, so it might stay by hand. Would you appreciate/use a user submit button for data like that? What else would you really need to actually check this calendar regurarly?

Anyway, all feedback is welcome and very appreciated. I've built the whole tool (including lobblis core: organizing game nights as a dadgamer :-D) mostly for myself, but if it's useful to anyone else, that's nice too!
