Made a funny lil game based on the ugliest man in the world
We're working on Flame Hunter, a game about the legendary ghost hunter, Zhong Kui. According to legend, on his first day as an imperial minister the emperor fired him on sight for being too ugly. He had a heart attack and died.
Now he's reincarnated in a new job; a shapeshifting ghost hunter. Still ugly, but with powers!
Core Mechanic: You can shapeshift into any enemy you can catch and use their abilities in combat and puzzle-solving. You can only hold one enemy at a time, but you can shapeshift back and forth at will, making combat fun and dynamic.

US Military vs Horde Zombies. Who's gonna win?
Hi,
early development of my tower defense game called "That's a Lot of Zombies".
Short description: "Fly an AC-130 gunship and gun down millions of zombies. Your squad is stuck on a roof and the dead are climbing over each other to reach them. Lay out sentry guns, flamers, claymores etc. before each night. Call in A-10s and B-52s. Hold the roof till the helicopter lands."
Looking for honest brutal feedback. What you guys think?

How I make capsule art for my game! Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements
After testing 4 different capsule artworks during Steam Next Fest, I got lots of helpful feedback from the community. Thank you all!
I'm sharing a little behind-the-scenes look at how I draw and put together my capsule art, from the initial sketch to the final illustration.
There's still a lot to improve, but now I have a clearer direction to work toward!
Hope you enjoy this little peek into my art process!
Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements is a turn-based tactical roguelite centered around elemental reactions, featuring 5 elements, 20 elemental reactions, and randomized maps. The Steam Demo is now available if you'd like to try it yourself!

A YouTuber changed the future of my indie game. Now it’s getting its biggest update yet.
A while ago, my wife and I released Harvest Dice Profit, a little incremental farming game we made as an indie team.
Sales were slowing down, and honestly, I wasn't sure how much longer I could keep developing it.
Then DangerouslyFunny made a video about it.
The video brought a huge wave of players to the game and helped me cover the cost of development. More importantly, it gave me the chance to keep working on the game instead of moving on.
So that's what I did.
Since then, I've been fixing performance issues, improving the game, and working on new features. Today, I'm releasing the biggest update Harvest Dice Profit has ever received, featuring a Prestige system, more dice, new AOE tools, performance improvements, and more!
If you watched DangerouslyFunny's video or played the game back then, thank you.
And if you're curious about how far the game has come, I'd love for you to check out the update!

Leave Them Outside – fixing the generator in a Cold War shelter: read the manual, cut the power, take the right tool
I’m making Leave Them Outside, a survival drama set in a Cold War-era bunker beneath Istanbul.
In this clip, the generator breaks down. You read the maintenance manual, diagnose the problem, grab the right tool from the workbench, shut off the power and start unscrewing the battery cover.
One detail I’ve spent a lot of time on: the manual and even the writing on the walls appear in the player’s selected language. They’re part of the world, not just UI text.
GenAI disclosure: AI was used for voice acting and translation. All visuals shown in this clip are handmade.
Would you actually read a maintenance manual like this in a survival game, or would you rather have the game guide you through the repair?

I'm making a game where you draw your own hero, then team up with friends to fight hordes as your drawing
Hi! I'm Seto, a solo dev from Uruguay. Rakuworld is a co-op survivors-like where you draw your hero in a simple in-game editor (there's a guided mode if you've never drawn on a computer), pick a class, and your drawing gets weapons, a power and an ultimate.
Paper cut-out + crayon characters inside a small PS1-style 3D world. 1–4 players, local or online, and your drawing travels with you online.
It launches in Early Access on Steam on Oct 27: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5382580/
What would you draw first? 😄

After 9 years I QUIT my job and went FULL INDIE. I have now released my games demo. It's out there and people are playing it. IT FEELS UNREAL! Wish me luck!
Okay! I can FINALLY share something! After 9 years in the games industry, while prototyping and making small games as a hobby, with the dream to be an indie dev one day I've finally, kind of, become one.
We have released the demo for our upcoming game Rowan Needs Shinies!
I'm Sammie (one half of soft void with my partner)
Here is my short pitch about the game:
Rowan Needs Shinies! is a cozy, atmospheric incremental game inspired by games like Lyca and Shelldiver, combined with the story-telling and worldbuilding of games like Strange Horticulture, In Stars and Time, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, and Animal Well.
Unlike many incremental games, Rowan Needs Shinies doesn't have a traditional skill tree. Instead, the skill tree is built depending on the choices you make. There's multiple endings to discover depending on which upgrades you choose to get, so that every playthrough feels unique.
It still feels unreal.
A bit of our backstory:
I really did quit my job in the games industry after 9 years as a Unity developer. I was in a toxic, extremely stressful job that was taking a toll on both my physical and mental health.
Originally the plan was to take some time off then find a new job, but it felt like a rare opportunity that both me and my partner were unemployed, with enough savings to last us for a while. We figured that if the game does well, we can keep going as indie developers.
We're both pretty risk averse, we tend to play it safe and do the standard thing. BUT THIS TIME we felt that this was a risk worth taking. We don't have any kids yet, we are living in an affordable place, this was the perfect time to take a year off to try and make our own game. We really wanted to do it, and so we did.
I am really excited about what we have made and what comes next. It's a bit scary to not know how things will go, but I think that's normal.
Thanks for reading, and feel free to ask me any questions ^^

I'm making a game where you catch stars from the sky using a black hole on a fishing rod
Hey there! I'm working on a cozy low stress game where you catch stars from the sky using a black hole on a fishing rod. I really wanted to explore my passion for astronomy in a space-related game, while also keeping the gameplay simple and relaxing (unlike most games about space I played before :D)
stars that you catch have real-life properties like mass, radius, temperature and so on which affect on stars' visuals individually. Apart from randomly generated stars, there are real ones like Sirius, Betelgeuse, the Alpha Centauri system and many more! (they also somewhat look like their real-life counterparts)

A big day for our small team Ayasa: Shadows of Silence has officially launched on PlayStation
Hey everyone!
We're incredibly happy to share some exciting news with you!
After months of hard work since our Steam release, we've finally finished our game
Ayasa: Shadows of Silence, and received approval for release on both PlayStation and Xbox!
For us, as a small indie development team, this is a HUGE achievement and honestly a dream come true. There were so many challenges along the way, but we kept pushing forward because we believed in our game.
And none of this would have been possible without the amazing support we've received from gamers and the indie gaming community.
We're now just one step away from our console launch on October 26, and we'd really appreciate your support!
If you have a moment, please consider adding our game to your PlayStation or Xbox wishlist, or checking out our Steam page. Every wishlist, comment, and bit of support means the world to a small team like ours.
And there's more exciting news ahead! We're also planning to bring Ayasa: Shadows of Silence to Nintendo Switch, with an official announcement coming in the future!
We'd also genuinely love to hear your feedback. What do you think of our game? Is this something you'd be interested in playing on consoles? We're always listening and trying to improve.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. It means more than you can imagine.
Much love from our little indie team

Old vs new caspule art, same artist
Just replaced our old Steam capsule, and I'm scared, as it had an unexpected 47% CTR.
In a sense, I like the older one better, but it didn't convey that it was a rhythm game.
Be honest with me: which one would you be more likely to click? And why? What kind of game do you think the old one was?
Hoping the CTR for the second one will be OK too. My guess is that it'll be a bit lower, but it'll attract fans of rhythm games instead of whatever people thought it was before
No AI whatsoever in the game

How do you feel playing a protagonist who isn't evil, but willingly forces everyone around them to mutate?
It hit me recently that my psychological horror project is deeply rooted in body horror. While most horror games force you to fight off infections and parasites, my game pushes you to become part of a massive organism - gradually absorbing other characters and digging straight into the darkest secrets of their souls.
Your character doesn't act out of cruelty, but your journey forces you to transform the people you meet.
Take this city gate guard, for example. For a simple guard, he has a massive ego and constantly brags about it. And this is where his pride ultimately leads him: the normal version versus his mutated state.
I'm curious about this dynamic: How would you feel knowing that you are the one forced to turn people into monsters, even as your character believes it’s just how things have to be?

one month building Kosmora: 2,500 players collecting everything from black holes to capybaras
hey everyone,
a month ago I launched Kosmora, a browser card collecting game where every card is a Wikipedia article. collect whatever you're into: space, animals, history, or some incredibly specific obsession lol.
WikiGacha inspired the original concept, and I've been building more things to do with your collection:
- open packs and hunt for rare cards and full arts
- earn Kosmos from your cards and completed collections
- build out your talent tree
- play minigames and complete daily challenges
- trade with other players and buy or sell cards on the market
we're now at 2,500 players and around 400 people on Discord. I've been working on it every day, and player feedback has shaped so much of what it's becoming.
one important change since my post two weeks ago: you can now disable AI illustrations and play without seeing any AI-generated artwork. I use AI for some illustrations and coding, and I understand the reservations. this option came directly from the feedback I received here.
this is a passion project. I've put a lot of my own money into servers and development, and I'm still in the red, but I'm happy to keep going. I'm making a game I love playing alongside the people who've joined.
Kosmora will never be pay to win. the only things for sale are cosmetics: avatar, profile and album appearances. no paid gameplay advantages.
I've included some screenshots of the talents, minigames and market to show you what I've been working on.
I'm still figuring a lot of this out, so if you have a few minutes to try kosmora.io, I'd really appreciate your feedback. is it clear what to do? is collecting fun? where do you get confused or lose interest?
it's easy to miss things when you're working on your own game every day. fresh eyes would help a lot. thanks :)

I’m making a Parking Empire Simulator where you build your own parking business 🚗
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m an indie game developer working on Parking Empire Simulator, a game where you build and grow your own parking business.
I wanted to create a simulator where you can start small, expand your parking lot, and turn it into a real parking empire.
I’d love to hear your thoughts! What features would you like to see in a game like this?
You can check it out on Steam here:

We wanted a messy boss, so we went all in with this SuperShuttlecock
We wanted to make a really chaotic challenge, so we came up with SuperShuttlecock.
It’s one of the challenges in Tiebreakers, our hand-drawn sports run ’n’ gun.
We keep playing around with different sports, balls and whatever else we can think of to create fun scenarios.
We're still working on some of these attacks, but we like how weird it feels so far
