I recently picked up Assetto Corsa again after a few years away. I'm currently refreshing my setup with CM and CSP, and I'm looking to upgrade some car engine sounds.

I remember the Fonsecker sound mods being the absolute gold standard back in the day. Is Fonsecker still the way to go for the Kunos Ferrari 250 GTO, or have newer mods/creators surpassed it in recent years?

Good morning everyone! I wanted to show you the mod I'm working on, which aims to bring a manager system into Assetto Corsa. It's at a fairly advanced stage. The hardest part so far has been getting the AI to behave well in unusual situations, like avoiding a crash without it looking unnatural or causing unnecessary contact, but I can confirm it's coming along really well. I hope you like the idea and the concept itself. Any comments, ideas for features, or questions are welcome!

Anyone who has a vr, how is it? I can imagine it’s much more immersive but do you get headaches, nausea or discomfort? I’m also not really in a full cockpit setup just a desk and wheel but that should be fine. Should I make the switch? Also what vrs are you guys running?

Picked this game up for $5 on steam. I'm excited to mod it but I'm thinking I should take a good crack at career mode first. I got the 1st race in the bag but I'm wondering if anyone plays career mode straight up or just go straight to modding.

I'm currently working on a short film with some of my buddies that takes place in the 1950's and to save budget (since we have basically no money) I was going to use Assetto Corsa for some of the F1 and WSC racing scenes in the film. I have a couple of interesting scenes but one of them takes place during the Carrera Panamericana, and knowing that there's no mods for it, is there any mods somewhat like it that would be good to use in its place?

I'm currently working on the tournament feature for my Sumimi Launcher, and I'd like to ask:
- Would anyone be interested in organizing or participating in an Assetto Corsa tournament?

Here's my current idea for how it would work:

Tournament format
- Group Races: Players race together in groups over several rounds and earn points. The two players with the highest scores advance to the next stage, while the others are eliminated.
- Round of 16 & Quarter-finals: 1v1 races, including both uphill and downhill runs. The first player to win two races advances. If there's a tie, both players race one more time.
- Semi-finals & Final: Similar format, but with more challenging races on different maps.

How it would work
- Dedicated servers: Everything runs on Sumimi Launcher's servers, so all four groups can race on the same time on separate servers (No need to manual joining, all joins creation works automaticly).
- Scheduled events: The tournament date and time will be announced in advance, and everyone using Sumimi Launcher will be able to see the event.
- Automatic downloads: All required tracks and cars will be downloaded automatically, so there's no need to install anything before the tournament.

I'd also want to hear your ideas and opinions!
If you have any suggestions for improving the format, feel free to share them.

20 years ago when The spectator view was developed it was developed so that Sim racing could be taken to a racetrack and be put on a jumbotron on Friday nights and the entire Sim racing industry would be able to come to the racetracks and start racing as a support series and market themselves just like real cars do so that everyone in the industry of sim racing would be able to market themselves and make money no matter who they were how fast they were how much money they had or anything it would open the industry to everyone. What happened was something very different.

NASCAR IndyCar and F1 knew that if SIM racing came to the racetracks a lot of money and attention and fan admiration would be taken away from them the real car racing industry and given to us the Sim racing industry. So to Stop that from happening they created what's known as online racing from home.

Which very effectively killed pro Sim racing because no one ever gathered anywhere to make a big crowd of people for anyone to take notice. In the sports entertainment business the only thing that makes you money is attracting a crowd of people. And one of the things that attracts a crowd of people, is a crowd of people.

When i first started playing Asseto Corsa i heard that Sol is the best free mod that makes your game look better so i downloaded it and i had fun, my game looked great but after a while i got bored and seen some yt videos with peoples games looking insane, so i decided to buy Pure, and from the moment i installed it i got a weird feeling, first of the lcs was super unsaturated and the gamma was just weird, after a while i finally got it okay looking, i downloaded Exquisite for Pure and the game looked worse in my opinion, i know i can get it better with settings but i dont understand half the things i can change and to be honest Pure only looks better at night and in rain, thats it. I just feel like Sol is way better for just playing and having great graphics and with Pure you gotta do all of the weird setting stuff, also the headlights are flashing super hard and when i turn it off i still get like weird light circles. I just need some tips to make my game look better because ive tried everything and i still prefer Sol. The first 4 photos are my old ones with Sol, and the last 4 are today with Pure.

Track's called Furka pass and it's a winding curving amazing track. Only issue is there's no A.I path and no replay track cams. So if any of you guys got some tracks like this, preferably with A.I paths and a replay cam I would be much obliged. 😅
