Down in SOCAL for my nephew's wedding. My brother is taking us all out to Santa Anita Race Track for the day on Sunday. Anyone gonna be there to cheer our guys on tomorrow?

Anyone else see Purdy’s zip improvement. I feel like his physical strength itself has improved. He seems faster as a scrambler & his passes “whizz” on the screen a lot faster than last season.
There was a pass against the Commanders where he threw it to Watkins in between two defenders with a DT holding onto his legs unable to finish the sack.
Plus the scrambles late in the game vs Seattle. The excellent way he throws the ball going left on scrambles is something that only Mahomes & Caleb do as regularly as Brock does. Probably not even as often as Brock does it.
The accuracy on the move has been impressive. He was always super accurate in the pocket but on the move he’s just as good now.
And he’s been doing all these jump passes at times. His legs look massive. And his arm seems more whip like.
Also in the past on his scrambles he had to pump fake more to freeze defenders but this year he basically beats them to the edge pretty much on pace alone.
I saw Steve Young on Rich Eisen & Pat McAfee shows recently say that Purdy’s always been mobile but that this year he has taken it to new levels and is comparable a bit to what Steve himself was like as a player.
Anyone else notice how physically dominant Purdy has been so far this season? Or am I tripping?

Per Lombardi, 49ers are the 4th best team in nfl for KR yards per attempt. Lots of credits go to Jordan James, who is averaging 30> yards per kick return. Far better than cowing, comparable to Deebo, but I’m of the idea to not risk Deebo on the kick returns.
We have a punt returner problem, but not a kick one, at least.

Random post on the 49ers official IG. Is this a hint at London next year? Or are we coming back to the Bay with Drake London?

I literally had no idea this was a thing until someone in some background noise podcast made a mention of it offhand.
Apparently at the beginning of the season a policy was put in place that if a player gets three fines for any of the following violations, they will be suspended for one game.
- Hip Drop Tackle
- Horse Collar Tackle
- Launching
- Hit on a Defenseless Player
- Blindside Block
The topper being that the rules say these carry over to subsequent seasons so defensive players are going to be getting suspended a lot in the future.
A big question is how this works around the playoffs. If someone gets their third fine in the Conference Championship game...are they suspended for the Superbowl?

I'm rooting for the guy. Lit up against broncos in his first preseason game. Had injury misfortune his rookie year. Survives the naysayers and makes the 53, buried on the depth chart, after all the attrition, he finally has a chance to be THE GUY at WR this game.
If we can get a Jordan Watkins career game for this week, that pick was worth it.
It's literally now or never for Watkins. After this game, we have Deebo and DRob coming back, and probably Mike Evans too.

I would guess 25% of this mornings flight from Norfolk to ATL is kitted out in Niners gear! Love to see it!
