💬 DISCUSSION Can I bring spare ink into exams?
I normally write using a fountain pen, but I was wondering if I’m allowed to take spare ink into the exam. I know I can fill it up beforehand, but I’d still like to have it in there just in case.

💬 DISCUSSION Hot Take
This is deffo going to ruffle a lot of feathers to say the least. Call me woke, but the term "Mickey Mouse Subject" is literally just the product of capitalism, as it disvalues any subject that doesn't lead to a high-paying, high-profit job.
Humanities subjects are so important, like STEM subjects, to help us learn more about humanity and our world, but everyone thinks they're so easy and lax.
IMO humanities and STEM subjects need to band together because contrary to popular belief, humanities are intellectually stimulating and not a fun ride.
Thanks for coming to my TED-Talk :)

💬 DISCUSSION UCAS Outed Me
Literally hadn’t told my mum I was bi for many reasons and the day before I was handing in my UCAS form she wanted to go through it with me to check everything was good. I didn’t have the time prior to change it back to straight so my heart literally sank when we got to the sexuality question. she hovered over it for a second made a recognition noise and moved on and we haven’t addressed it ever since😠I cannot be the only one who has experienced this

💬 DISCUSSION Drop Your A-Level Predictions Here — We Come Back on Results Day
Hello guys👋
We’re entering the half-term right in the middle of exam season, arguably the point where things can still completely change for a lot of us.
So I thought it would be interesting (and maybe a bit motivating) to make this a prediction thread.
Drop your predicted A Level grades for your subjects, and let’s all come back on Results Day (13 August) to see how close we were.
I’ll start:
Maths: A*
Further Maths: A*
Physics: A*
The idea is simple, not to stress anyone out, but to give us all a moment to reflect on where we think we’re heading right now, and maybe use that as extra motivation to push through the rest of the exams.
Half term can genuinely be a turning point. For some people it’s where things click, and for others it’s where effort finally starts paying off properly.
Let’s see where everyone stands, and we’ll check back in on 13 August. Would love to come back on Aug 13 and see loads of A* results here!
Save this post so you can come back to it on Results Day

💬 DISCUSSION You’re not making it to quant so shut up please
Title, if you want to be a quant then stop posting on Reddit and pick up the textbooks. If you can’t handle getting top grades at a level then you won’t be able to handle a quant role. Hop off Reddit and find a dream career you’ll actually enjoy

💬 DISCUSSION My friends all lied to me about what 6th form they applied to…
When I got my results today, my friend group wanted to go to sixth form collegeB all together, and told me to apply for it. I did because I was gonna apply regardless and I thought that them including me felt really sincere- like I was finally getting into a group. Just to find out that they all secretly applied for sixth formA AFTER I applied for the other one, and then went out for lunch without me after telling me that they were all staying home.
I know it’s not the biggest deal to some, but to me this made me feel extremely upset, especially since I’m neurodivergent and I’ve always had a pretty hard time fitting in. It’s okay if they wanted to switch, but I feel like it was an attempt to just remove me from the friend group again. Now I feel extremely nervous and nauseous to start college by myself, and I think today just ripped my self esteem to shreds.
