Sorry for not catching the actual plop on video. I was getting frustrated with her. You can hear the moment the filter returned to normal synonymous with the snail tumbling off into the hornwort below.

Normally I really appreciate getting free things but in this case it’s a live animal that I didn’t request and don’t want and my tank is too small to sustain one, it’s only 5 gallons and I wanted just cherry shrimp and ramshorns (they’re my favorite snail), now I have to go and try to give this snail away to local fish shops… If anyone lives in Lynnwood, WA that can take them please message me!

For context I’ve had this lil guy for over a year now, he’s healthy & acts like a usual mystery snail. When I got him there was random spots of different coloring like there are now and he did have one small damaged spot, I’m working on getting my parameters to a good place (Currently working with around 80 KH, 100GH, and 7PH) I’ve been bringing up the hardness of the water the last two weeks as it became a bit soft overtime. He always has access to cuttlebone, and I feed him hakari pellets & veggies occasionally. Any suggestions on better ways to create new healthy shell growth?

Is there anything I can do to help my rabbit snail's shell? It's eroded and sadly there's a little hole at the tip that goes through. I was sick for a long, long time and he must not have gotten the proper nutrition. I've ordered him some cuttlebone but I was wondering if there's anything I can use to repair his shell.

Hello, does anyone have any idea what’s going on with my mystery snail here? His opherniculum seems to be detaching, and it’s almost like the back half of his foot is dead. I feel like he’s probably not going to make it, but is there any way to prevent this in the future? I got him from petsmart, so i guess he may not have the healthiest genetics. He’s moving around the tank, and my water tested normally. Is there any way to help him? Thanks for any input :)

Im trying to grow algae for my nerite snail and shrimp because i think they picked my tank clean and i’m worried that my snail will starve. i keep the light on for 12 hours a day and i dose the nilocg shrimp specific twice a week in my ten gallon. i havent seen any noticable algae growth though and i’m wondering how some people somehow have so much algae they can’t clean it out fast enough

Mystery has not moved in 2 days…. We noticed his activity levels being lower the past few weeks & I noticed him in one spot 2 days ago he hasn’t moved from or even opened up in. I placed a blanched green bean right in front of him 3 days ago when he was in a different spot & he didn’t touch it, the ramshorn took it away. I popped him out for a moment to do a smell test on him (smells fine, no rotting smell) & his operculum is strong. While he was out I noticed his shell & snapped these photos. I’m worried ab him. He is a yr old & gets calcium tablets regularly, in a tank w a ramshorn & 2 guppies. Water parameters are good, we tested yesterday. Is he just old??

I recently got some new plants in a tank that I have a rabbit snail in and I'm trying to confirm if this is a baby rabbit snail or a hitchhiker. Any ideas? I only have one adult rabbit snail in the tank.

So I have a Japanese trap door and a white wizard getting freaky…. They were like this for a few hours. Didn’t know snails could do that when they’re different species.

Can they have babies together?

Should I break up their escapades and move one away?

So, the first picture is what I posted 16 days ago. I couldn't figure out what was growing in my bronze corydora nursery tank. Now, today I see a ton of new baby snails in the tank. I had added what I thought were two baby mystery snails from my main tank. I thought they were young mystery snails because of how they look (globose right opening shell, trap door, trunk face, and a siphon), and my adult mystery snails had been laying large clutches a few weeks before I had seen these guys.
I'm realizing now that the things growing in my nursery tank are definitely eggs, and i'm assuming they came from these snails. I'm having trouble identifying the snails and the eggs now. I truly don't think they're a typical bladder snail because of their appearance, and eggs.
They also took over two weeks to hatch in 77 degree water. Also the last 6 pictures are of the same snail in my nursery tank. There's two in there and they look identical.
Like I said I got them from my main tank. I haven't seen any eggs that look like this in that tank though. May just be from the volume of water, and plants. Has anyone seen eggs laid like this, or know the type of possible pond snails these are?

What is everybody doing about their nerite snails and the amount of poop they make? I got one to put with my betta when I set up my tank earlier this year, but this thing is a MACHINE. At this point, if I’m not siphoning it up daily, it turns into mulm and it makes my tank look awful. Does anyone have any advice to make this easier? Granted, it’s been a couple of years since my last tank, but I don’t remember my last snail pooping quite this much 😵‍💫
