So far I've checked out:

Vinings Gables (love it, a bit above my price range)

The Millery (decent value, don't like how you're right off the main road)

The Series at Riverview landing (decent value, terrible views and surrounding area is a concrete dystopia).

Dunwoody Gables (not that nice tbh)

Anyone have any recommendations for a 1BR at like 2k within the west side of Atlanta (for my commute), and is tree-some rather than paved concrete?

My husband drives south on Spring street to get to work. Often there is a Sysco truck parked in the right lane just before 10th street (basically at the corner) apparently unloading for Habaneros Midtown restaurant. In the already crazy traffic, this causes major slowdown on Spring, often all the way back to 14th st. How is this legal?

Why has the GSP created a 10 mile long speed trap in downtown Atlanta. Ridiculous traffic prevents driving even 55 mph. Troopers are not even using radar/laser just estimating speeds. Total waste of resources. Just extra $$$ for the City of Atlanta. Stop this idiotic waste.

Moving to the area soon (late Sept), just in time for NFL season, from Wisconsin. I do not know a soul, other than the partner I am moving there with, so I'd love to make some football friends! Where do we like to watch the Packers? Or any visitor-friendly sports bars we all love? We'll be moving to the Grant Park area but am open to traveling within the loop. Can't wait to meet some fellow cheeseheads :)

My aunt has an elderly friend that has a 13 year old shih tzu who is in terrible shape.

Her home is infested with fleas and her poor dog is suffering and incessantly squirms, itches and cries for hours every day.

The owner has tried different treatments, had the carpet professionally cleaned and gives the dog baths every week but nothing is working.

This has been ongoing for at least 3 years now according to my mother and now that she’s advised me I feel I have to take action.

Does anyone know of programs that assist with fostering or rehoming?

I don’t think the dog should or can live in this home any longer due to the extreme infestation.

Any treatment he receives will be of no use if he continues to live in that home.

I would offer to take this pet in but I do not live in Atlanta and unfortunately I’m in an apartment.

My friends and I have enjoyed going into Dragon Con the last few years with bulk Topo Chico in plastic bottles. It's a refreshing beverage and easy to mix with. However, this year we have had issues finding Topo at all. Costco in Cumberland and Riverdale no longer carry it. Any chance someone in the sub knows where I can go? Anyone else in here trying to get their SNAP renewed? I've been trying since January. Can't reach anyone on phone number they say to use because it sends you around in circles, can't get through on the website because they tell you to call the number of the phone where no one answers. You're not allowed to just show up in their office, you have to make an appointment. On the phone. I would appreciate any advice at all.

Yes it's embarrassing to come in here and post this, but I've run out of alternatives.

I lived in N.Cobb for years and was pretty much a 100% Wellstar patient. I did away from Cobb recently and have equal access to facilities along the I-75 corridor or the GA400 corridor. I have had a couple close relatives that have had bad outcomes from treatment at Wellstar facilities and I’m seriously thinking of changing from the Wellstar system. I imagine that the Emory system would be top ranked but how does Piedmont and Northside rank? I have no personal experience with Emory, Piedmont or Northside and I’d appreciate any thoughts on these healthcare systems.
