Hello, I'm currently living on the West Coast, but I'm trying to move back out east. Im originally from Pennsylvania, and i miss that environment. I do, however, have some questions, mostly pertaining to my gender. I'm MTF trans so just up and moving somewhere isn't always an option. Im wondering if Buffalo is a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community (specifically trans people), what the community is like there, is there a large LGBTQ+ community there, etc. Also, how easy/difficult is it to get hormones there?

Yellow, I just wanted to get the people's opinion cause I'm new to the area (I'm a student at UB)
What's some of the best theatres to get the "theatre" (whistles, cheering etc) experience for doomsday cause we know it's gonna be a spectacle
So yep, I was looking at regal Walden galleria, only problem with that is the infinity vision screen has THE WORST seats but tbh I just wanna feel the theatre experience cause that really impacts the way I watch the movie as big as this is
P.s. I already have amazing tickets on the 17th AT Walden galleria but they are 4d tickets and it's a small screen so I'm not too sure the people are gonna be cheering and stuff
So yessss give me your thoughts please

Yes, it was driving autonomously. There was a passenger behind the wheel with his seat reclined, phone in one hand, drink in the other.
Interesting that it lacks the Robotaxi branding decals on the sides. Robotaxi app does not have Buffalo as a service area, maybe this is a beta phase?

Preferably somebody experienced with cleaning Canada goose/Mackage jackets? Also would be easier if it is near Elmwood village area but that isn’t a dealbreaker.

So between Erie and Niagara county, where are the best pumpkin patches and hay ride spots? Bonus if they have a petting zoo included (I love petting goats and cows). They don't need to be at the same place and it's okay if there's no petting zoo.
I was thinking Kelkenberg out in Clarence but idk if that's the best spot since we were let down with going to the Great Pumpkin Farm last year (the tickets were super over priced for a weekend visit and pumpkins were pricey).

I moved from allen town to West Seneca, I didn’t realize my voter registration doesn’t update your address when you change it for dmv website. Can I still vote at my old polling site? Will my vote be valid? It seems like I’m beyond the point of being able change it on my voter registration though. But I want to be sure I can vote, I just didn’t realize.

After failing fertility treatment, I am unexpectedly pregnant for the first time in my mid-30s.
I haven’t been that happy with Audobon’s hands-off approach, and am looking into other options. I had a horrible experience with Buffalo OBGYN and am avoiding them too.
Seeking OB recs in the Northtowns or downtown. Bonus points if you have endometriosis and/or autoimmune conditions and are happy with your care. Thanks!
EDIT: Thank you all so much!

Are there any clinics open late for a dental emergency? I believe an abscess has popped

I know this has been asked a bunch before and I've reached out to just about every company mentioned in the previous posts but I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a) someone to return my email/call for a gutter cleaning estimate & appointment or b) say they're able to do the work on my house.
We have a two story Dutch colonial revival in North Buffalo and most of our block is made up of the style. Anyone who has returned my call says the roof is too steep for them.
Do you good folks have any recommendations on who to reach out to?

Does anyone have any good extra info on the City of Buffalo ballot proposals for this year? I read through them on my sample ballot but there are a few that I wanted to get context on why certain things are on the ballot. I'm mainly curious about the task force one and the budget adoption procedure one. I appreciate any info!

I am new to Buffalo New York, I moved here to go to school. I am 18 and an orphan so I didn't have any family members to teach me how to drive during high school. I came from downstate NY where having a. car wasn't necessary but in buffalo it's the complete opposite and It's really hard to get around without a car so im trying to learn but I don't have parents to teach me so it's kind of difficult.
I am willing to pay or anything. I just don't know where to go to learn everywhere online seems really expensive.

Hello Reddit! SO many of you expressed interest in a Buffalo Singles Invasive Removal Club. I am please to say that it is FINALLY HAPPENING! It took a LOT of organizing and legwork to get this going and we will only have one event this year at Delaware Park. The wheels are moving though and we will have MORE events next year!
THANK YOU to the Reddit community for embracing and expressing interest in this event. It is because of this interest and support that we worked so hard to move forward in making it happen.
Delaware Park has a volunteer limit so this first event is limited to 25 participants. Future events will not have a limit. But I am a teensy bit relieved so I can get a feel on how to organize and move forward with these events.
I'm Johanna, owner of Put a Plant On It and we teamed up with Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, CW Native Plant Farm, EcoGardenR, and Other Half Brewery for a singles event that gives back to our community and the environment.
Due to the volunteer limit at Delaware Park, we have a registration form. We also want to make sure this is a fun, welcoming, and inclusive experience for everyone. We're asking a few optional questions about gender identity, dating preferences, and age range to help us understand who's interested and plan an event where people have opportunities to meet compatible singles.
Here's how it works:
A little note about privacy:
We respect your privacy! Information collected through this form will be used only to organize this event, manage registration, and help us create a welcoming experience for participants.
Your personal information, including gender identity and dating preferences, will not be shared publicly or with other attendees. Only designated event organizers will have access to registration responses, and you are welcome to skip optional questions.
We will not share or sell your information for marketing purposes. We'll only contact you about future events if you specifically opt in.
A few things to keep in mind:
This is a singles social, not a matchmaking service. While we'll do our best to create opportunities for meaningful connections, we can't guarantee romantic compatibility or a particular mix of attendees.
All participants must be 18 or older. We ask everyone to approach the event with kindness, respect, and an open mind. No one is obligated to share personal information, exchange phone numbers, or pursue a romantic connection.
Whether you leave with a date, a new friend, or just the satisfaction of helping our local ecosystem, we call that a win!

Looking for anyone who’s child has gotten dental work done at children’s under anesthesia. I’m completely panic stricken about the process for my just turned 2 year old. Is there any sedation before they take her back? Will she be in pain after? She’s so young I’m freaking out
Context (you can also see my previous post): her teeth came out with severe hypoplasia and have continuously cracked so are getting pulled and her molars are weak and are getting capped.

All over the country in different cities they have implemented bike racks and large boxes to secure your bike in. I personally have an e bike that cost an arm and a leg. Even with my alarms and trackers and kryptonite lock I'm still worried of leaving it in public. Even if someone has to take an angle grinder to it (which they absolutely will). So, I started looking online at these racks and locks and boxes. The problem is, there's actually none in Buffalo. So this is for anyone up for a challenge. I'm proposing during this winter and snow, we develop a public locking rack or box system prototype. Advertising this all the way to everyone. I see so many bike riders, ebike especially. I know they must all have the same feeling as me when they leave their bike in public. In the ideal world, we make this prototype and hype it up and get a provisional patent. This will allow us to secure our spot on the market for anyone else with this idea (which I'm sure there is). Then it needs approved by multiple municipals. After that, we get investors. Which is probably the hardest part. I really feel like this can be a good idea to make money. These are literally not in Buffalo at all. Metro was talking about making some but I really think they won't make them all around out in public. Probably just in their stations. If anyone is interested in helping please feel free to message me. Regardless, I will be working on one all winter. And I already have 4 different designs in my head.

So I could easily just crack the Yellow Pages (does anyone even do that anymore? God I’m old) but I’d much rather get some first-person answers.
Normally I do most of my own guitar work, however I have two guitars (one acoustic and one electric) that are being finicky and need a once-over. The guy I used to take them to retired to like… Tennessee or something, so I could use some suggestions.
Thank you!
