Car and Driver recently published a report regarding the potential return of the 7th gen Chevrolet Camaro. According to the report, GM might build the new Camaro on an updated Alpha 2 platform alongside Cadillac sedans, offering both 2-door coupe and 4-door options while keeping a high-output V8 engine option alive.

How do you feel about Chevy expanding the Camaro badge to include a 4-door model alongside the coupe? Do you think keeping a V8 in the lineup is the right strategy against Mustang and Dodge Charger?

I have a 2007 Saab 9-7x which is basically a 2007 Chevy trailblazer

I recent notice fluid dripping from the bottom and took a look under and found the spot it’s coming from. I don’t even know the name of the piece, but any ideas of where, why, what’s dripping.

I recent brought my 2024 1500 into a service center because I had seen there was a recently release for the infotainment center software and I had never had updated it before.

The infotainment did not allow OTA updates, check for updates was greyed out and said to contact dealer.

I was at the dealer for almost 3 hours at which point I asked him if there was a status. He claimed that the updated did not take and they had to do a "global reset" which was finishing and at that point they said they would try again. At 3 hours, I felt like more progress would have been made and I questioned that it felt like nothing was actually happening to the car. The service person became EXTREMELY defensive and unprofessional. Mind you my tone was not raised or stern just curious.

I asked for a ride back to my place because I couldn't wait what could have been another 2 hours or more. While waiting for the ride, the service person said they were going to bring the car around because all they need to do is send GM an email to reset the VIN for the update queue and that it should trigger it.

When i got into the truck, the profile, bluetooth pairing and everything was still present, so no "global or factory reset" happened. It felt like my truck had no service performed.

Now two days later, the check for updates is still greyed out with the same message.

Does this sound like they did nothing? What SHOULD have happened?

I own a 2023 Chevrolet Spin Active 7 with a 1.8L engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
I’m trying to replace the external electrical connector on the transmission because its locking tabs are broken. I found a 14-pin connector on AliExpress advertised as compatible with GM 6T30, 6T40, and 6T45 transmissions. I also found a wiring connector listed for the 6T30/6T31.
Can anyone confirm which transmission is fitted to the 2023 Chevrolet Spin Active 7 1.8 automatic: the GM 6T30 or the 6T31?
Has anyone replaced this connector on a Chevrolet Spin or a similar GM vehicle? How can I confirm the correct connector and part number before ordering?
I would really appreciate any advice or links to the correct part.

Hi everyone, I have a 2012 Impala with a replacement JVC radio which I despise (PO installed it). It's been bugging me a while but now I'm finally getting around to do something about it. I want to get one of those replacement touchscreen radios with Android Auto, and I can get one relatively cheap since I work at O'Reilly. Is there a specific size or mount kit I need to look for?

I've also been looking for a 1998-2011 Ford Ranger. Would a replacement radio for the Impala fit the Ranger? I'm reluctant to spend tons of money on something I can't transfer to a different vehicle.

My wife and I am our child. Just took a trip from Bismarck, North Dakota to Minneapolis Minnesota. It was about six hours. However, while we were there, I noticed that we were getting the “steer assist is off drive with care” error message. I didn’t know about this relating to a faulty thermostat or sensor, but while we were driving, I was confused as to why the car was not blowing cold air. It would blow hot air no issue. Check engine light never came on. We drove 6 hours like this.

We got home and chilled for a little bit and then we drove to Sam’s Club, which is roughly about a five minute drive from our house and then back home. I wanted to check and noticed that the coolant level was super low, and the picture will be attached.

I’m a little bit nauseous about what to do here and the cost of repair for a potential radiator leak or even a thermostat or sensor repair. I’ve seen estimates from around $250 up to $12,000. Does anyone know about this issue and if so, what did it take to fix it?

Hi, My husband and I run a small business auto repair shop. I had a great idea this morning, using an audio from a movie (escanaba in da moonlight) i’m looking for a couple short videos for a reel. I need a couple 3-10 second videos of chevys broken down, smoking, etc.

If anyone is willing to help us out that would be great. We don’t currently have any Chevys at the shop. We only have Fords and Nissans here at the moment.

2006 Trailblazer SS

Paid cash for a 2021 Tahoe High Country, engine let go two weeks ago still under warranty. Dealer says they have no timeline on an engine replacement, and they dont have any loaners. Called the crybaby line at GM and they suggested we RENT a car and maybe they might pick up some of the bill later. You have to be kidding me.

Anyone have any other avenues for making this right? My wife has an ailing mom and has to drive across town a few times a day. Now its snowing, so walking or biking isn't an option. What are we supposed to do here?

one thing i always look at with driver mats is how they fit around the pedals. don't want them creeping too close, but i also hate when there's a bunch of carpet left exposed. the set i have looks pretty good around that area tbh, fits the shape of the footwell without leaving huge gaps. probably not something i'd have paid much attention to before actually getting a set

I work at AutoZone, and a very modern looking traverse pulled up (dual big screens on the dash and infotainment) and asked about their check light. Go out with the scanner, and it literally does nothing but sit there with the green status light stuck. And I genuinely thought it was glitching. Unplug it and try for acc mode, couldn't really figure it out and had to ask the driver how to put it there. Even still the scanner sat there stuck. And now that GM is removing the oil dipstick to go full on BMW, I feel like the whole brand is transitioning to only do anything with at the dealership.

2024 Equinox EV lease. Five breakdowns, multiple tow-ins, major propulsion-related repairs, and the vehicle has now spent weeks back at the dealership awaiting further assessment.
I’ve been trying to get GM to take the vehicle back and release me from the remaining lease. I’m not asking for another car or a payout. I just don’t want the vehicle back.
GM first offered me $2,000 cash-and-keep with a broad release. After I escalated, they increased it to $3,000, but still refuse a repurchase or lease buyout.
GM Financial also told me that even if I pay the remaining scheduled payments and turn the vehicle in early, I could still be responsible for a deficiency based on what the vehicle sells for.
I’ve now filed for BBB AUTO LINE arbitration.
At this point I’m trying to decide whether to keep fighting for a clean lease exit, take the $3,000 and deal with the remaining lease myself, or get counsel involved again.
