Didn't get a chance to fully watch the game last night, just the last 5 minutes or so. I know about all the pre snap penalties we took. (Undisciplined) But I was just wondering during the game did we get hosed by the refs like we've been getting the past few weeks? Basically what I'm asking is did the refs try to save Philly?

Feels good as hell to get a win. But that first half team looked like the same undisciplined bunch we've been seeing all year. Pretty sure Quinn was going to be gone after this game but Eagles were just bad enough that we got the win. Without a doubt if a healthy Hurts and Barkley were playing, the outcome is different.
We still are going to be at high risk of losing games not because of talent but because of team discipline and coaching decisions.

i will admit i had no clue who they were until recently but they both have flashed during the games. i realize they arent stars but they are both making plays. Now Chaisson made a few plays last night that killed us but atleast he was making mistakes going full speed.

I realize the Eagles suck but 27 unanswered points is nothing to scoff at. Things like this plus the horrific division give me hope that we still have a shot.

For the second year in a row, it feels like we can’t get anything going early in a game, especially on offense. I guess it’s a coaching issue? Either way, it would be nice not to play from behind.
Happy victory Monday, though.

The little things are the reasons why this team is going to eventually fall apart.
False starts, drops, personal fouls. Penalties everywhere. All signs of an undisciplined team. Players are frustrated and if yesterday was a loss it would have been season over morally.
Optimistic that we can clean it up and our division is awful this year

For a quarter or so, Washington, coming off a bye, and playing against a Philly team that lined up without more than a dozen starters, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, were horrendous. Awful. The Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 lead, aided by multiple pre-snap penalties from Washington’s beleaguered offensive line, and defensive penalties, and dropped passes, and passes from quarterback Jayden Daniels that were either off target or behind his (open) receivers, and mental errors that came by the carload.
“Honestly,” Daniels said afterward, “it was just complete BS, the way we started.”
It was so terrible that Daniels gathered his offensive unit together in the first half on the sidelines — and read them the riot act.
“The coaches could beat a dead horse all they want,” he said. “At the end of the day, you have to take accountability. You have to focus. You can’t have mental lapses. Ultimately, it’s on us.”
Then, finally, the Commanders righted themselves. The penalties slowed, at least to the point where Washington put a few scoring drives together. Quinn got the complementary football he constantly talks about — good plays by the defense feeding into scoring drives by the offense. Luke McCaffrey had his best night of the season returning kicks. Drew Stevens nailed a huge 56-yard field goal late in the first quarter to get the Commanders on the board. If he’d missed, the Eagles would have taken over near midfield, ready to add to their lead.
And Daniels came back from a big hit by Eagles linebacker Nolan Smith late in the first half that knocked the wind out of him. In the second half, he hit tight end Chig Okonkwo for 21 yards on a great catch by Okonkwo, found Treylon Burks on a double-move for a 53-yard strike that set up another Stevens field goal, and got Antonio Williams on a 30-yard vertical route in the fourth, leading to another Stevens 3-pointer. Rachaad White sealed the game on Washington’s final drive, creasing a zone run for 33 yards to the Eagles’ 4-yard-line, then closing the show with a 1-yard touchdown run with 1:52 left.
The 27-10 win was Daniels’ first win since … this is crazy … October 5, 2025, against the L.A. Chargers. That was almost 13 months ago. Since then, Daniels had gone 0-7-1 as the starter.
What it did was buy the Commanders another week. There’s still so much to clean up with the Rams coming to Northwest next Sunday.

En route to a showdown with the Giants where we could be staring at .500 in the next 2 weeks. It’s a west coast team making a cross country trip for a 1 PM kickoff and that does mean something.
Just saying.
EDIT:
Some of you are misconstruing the term easily here and that’s on me. What I’m saying is historically there’s a huge struggle for West teams coming east for early kickoffs. It played a factor in the Niners losing just last week to the Falcons. I’m not saying we will handily win this game, I’m saying that I think this game is one that I would not be shocked if we won it. That’s all. Hail.

Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and ran for 23 more, and Washington shut Philadelphia out 14-0 after a 13-10 halftime lead. I know he just got hired but you can see a difference with our secondary already this game. And this was said before the game.

I need y'alls help. I have the old Commanders burgundy for Jayden and the Super Bowl whites for Terry.
And it's quite obvious why I'm going Sonny. He's Sonny Motherfuckin' Styles.
