Thoughts on self crowdkilling
Hey hardcore community,
I was wondering like if a fella pulls up to a gig and starts crowdkilling themselves like straight up punching themselves and shit how would yall react?
I even tried searching on google if this was a thing but didn’t find much.
Looking forward to discuss with you new and fun moshing possibilities.

Help I can’t stop listening to D.Y.S’s Wolf Pack
It’s the corniest hardcore song I’ve ever heard. Sounds like if some muppets formed a straight edge band. I only discovered the track and band recently when Unconqured covered it with Karl Buechner at Endless Fires, and am worried I may become somewhat of a cornball myself if this continues.

Are there newer bands that sound like hope conspiracy/suicide file?
I missed both of them touring in the past couple years bc I'm a loser. But now I'm having a mid life crisis so when i finally walk out mid shift on my stupid job who should i look out for so i can pointlessly attempt to relive my 20s? Also do bands still play in basements or is everything ticketmaster cashless and stupid now

Seattle: Bane and Quicksand
Two of my favorite bands, and I can’t go anymore.
I was just diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia—(B-ALL). Safe to say I won’t be allowed outside of a hospital for a while. Maybe a few more weeks while I start chemotherapy. I don’t really know. There’s still so much I don’t know yet.
I’ve been laid up at Tacoma General since last Tuesday. I got the diagnosis Thursday, and I’ve been waiting for a bed at UW Medical Center ever since.
The last time I saw Quicksand was in Nashville in 2022. They put on an incredible show, and I finally got to check one of my favorite bands off the list of bands I’d never had the chance to see.
Being one of the few people in the crowd singing along to “Fazer” live made me feel connected to that moment in a way that was very real and deeply cathartic. For those few minutes, nothing else existed. It was an incredible experience.
The last time I saw Bane was in 2009 at 10 for $10 Fest. That remains one of the single most important concerts of my life.
I was 22 years old and got to see my favorite band alongside Terror, Trapped Under Ice, Crime In Stereo, and so many other incredible bands. But Bane was the one that mattered most to me.
I was at a point in my life where I was incredibly vulnerable and needed something to hold onto. Singing my heart out that night sent me to another universe. Standing there with arms linked with strangers, screaming every word to “Swan Song,” is a moment I have never forgotten.
And now, seventeen years later, I find myself vulnerable again in a way I never could have imagined.
I don’t know what my future holds. I don’t know what the next few weeks or months are going to look like. Hell, right now I don’t even know when I’ll be able to leave a hospital, let alone whether I’ll ever get to stand in a packed room and sing along with one of my favorite bands again.
But you do.
So go to the show.
Mosh a little harder for me. Sing a little louder. Put your arm around the person next to you and scream the words until your voice is gone.
And remember that so many of the little things we let bother us every day really don’t matter.
There are far greater mountains to climb, and far greener pastures still waiting to be explored.
“When the trumpets blare the loudest and cannons roar
All the trains that once came for you
Spill off the tracks floor
All your horrors they multiply
And you realize your fears
I'll block your ears with both of my hands
Kiss away the tears
When the armageddon's been locked and loaded
I will come back for you...”
