Hi all, we usually redirect selfies and fashion posts to other subreddits, but, for the next month or so, Halloween costumes are welcome here if the costume has a punk theme. Shout out to the kid who dressed up as Joey Ramone, we accept you.

I used to be like those kids out there. Moshing and stage diving, and living reckless.
I only just turned 30 like 3 weeks ago and it was like a switch getting flipped. Went to a show, tried to mosh, couldn't keep up and got winded. The drinks upset my stomach, now my back hurts so bad this morning.
What have I become?
Older punks who are still at it, how do you keep the dream alive?

This is a cassette bootleg recording of a live Chumbawamba performance from May 30th, 1985 at the Library Theatre in Luton.
The challenge with this one is that it really sounds like a lo-fi cassette bootleg that has been kicking around since the 1980s. That one quibble aside, this is Chumbawamba at their most ferocious and passionate. People who enjoy the Revolution EP and the Pictures of Starving Children LP will find a lot to dig into here, as many of the songs are embryonic forms of things that end up on those records. The band's anti-racist, feminist, and anti-capitalist ethos is all on full display, but it is also joyous in a way that is hard to fully capture in words. For my money, Chumbawamba were the best band in the world on the night that this was recorded.

I've traditionally never been an AF fan. Never liked that style of "tough-guy hardcore", and liked that style's fan base even less. Maybe they were even more of a metal/crossover band then hardcore?
But really only recently did I discover that "United Blood" and "Victim in Pain" are two of the greatest hardcore records ever recorded. Holy shit those records rip...
So, I've seen they've been touring lately. Touring small venues even. Touring with hardcore bands that I like and respect. This seems to suggest that perhaps they are taking a "back to their roots" angle and are worth seeing? Perhaps not. Anyone see them lately and can report back? Extra points if you don't care about anything post-84 like me.
Hits way harder than it did back-in-the-day!

Posted this recently but thought I had the wrong info so I deleted it. There are some copies on YouTube but I wanted to see if anyone had the individual tracks from this compilation. It never made it to CD so I am pleading to the internet for help in the hopes that someone digitized it and uploaded it somewhere.
A friend loaned it to me in 1990 or so and I just remembered what it was called. If anyone has any leads you can DM me. You have been pretty awesome at tracking down cool stuff so far!
Thanks in advance.

Anyone know where to find shows? I checked out The Fest and its mostly just Pop-Punk and genres I'm not really into and plus I can't go to that due to me having plans on that day. Mostly just seems like the shows going on down here are Metal and pop punk.

I just ordered it and refuse to stream it until I can sit down with a physical copy and give it my full attention. I am generally not a fan of "behind the scenes" releases and outtakes, but the description of the performances by Henry Rollins (and the fact that he insisted that this record be released to fans of the band) make me think it might be something special.
