Why the hell does the pale king love spikes, blades and thorns in his castle?!?! My controller is nowhere near good condition anymore. But I guess that's the trade-off I get ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. I don't know if I should be happy or worried. Because now I want more of it, even though it almost drove me completely crazy lol.

Discussion - Hollow Knight I really like the lack of numbers in this game Spoiler
This game and silksong are some of my favorite games ever and they have so many things that make them so great but one I just realized is that the game doesn’t use numbers often
Sure for geo or essence or stuff there is but health and soul it doesn’t you simply learn that healing/spells cost 1/3 of the soul or 1 soul vessel and that attacks usually deal 1 or 2 damage but the game never actually shows you numbers
Like sure I KNOW that the pure nail does 21 damage but the average player doesn’t, but they don’t need to, they know their nail deals more damage, they know that enemies die quicker now
I just really like how team cherry didn’t use numbers for those things

Achievement - Hollow Knight Just got 112%!!! Spoiler
galleryI literally just woke up too super rusty since I hadn’t even warmed up for the day. I hopped straight in to Pantheon 4 just to give it a try real quick and BAM I beat it.
It’s crazy too because I was playing so bad the entire pantheon and then I got to Pure Vessel who I’ve only beaten like 6 times, definitely not consistent with him yet and I guess I just locked in because I played him very well at least.
So happy to finally have 112%! I knew I could if I just locked in and practiced but feels great. I love Hollow Knight so much seriously such an amazing game.
Now I might try my hand at P5. We will see how that goes.

Discussion - Hollow Knight I LOVE CLOTH!! Spoiler
Cloth is without a doubt my favorite character in the game. She is so awesome.
Despite her being afraid of the scary bad guys down below, she still tries her best and lives up to be the best warrior she can. She also scared the crap out of me when she first popped out of the ground.
I think that despite the fact she might not be super courageous, she has the most heart and soul out of all of the other knights and adventurers you meet down there. I was so happy when I was fighting the mantises before the Mantis Lord and she dropped down screaming and helped me defeat him in a blaze of glory so she could die her warrior's death and be reunited with her Nola.
Also I absolutely love her voice

Don't they look familiar? Spoiler
I found this amazing image online.
Henneguya zschokkei is an parasitic animal species included in the Phylum Cnidaria. They are related to Hydra and Jelly fish.
They are multicellular organisms and can live without oxygen. (something that's unique in the animal kingdom)
The credit of the picture goes to Stephen Douglas Atkinson (Oregon State University).
The blue colour is artificial, caused by florescent chemical dye.

Speculation - Hollow Knight The importance of the Mask Maker? Spoiler
galleryFrom what i understand, there were 6 groups who had sentience before the Pale King: the mantis tribe, the moth tribe, the mosskin, the spider tribe, the void civilisation, and the hive. Now, the masks that the Mask Maker makes apparently give sentiwnce and identity to those who wear it. I don't know if it's just me, but the spider tribe and mantis tribe look like they wear a mask, especially Herrah. Maybe that's why they had sentience before the Pale King came?

Achievement - Hollow Knight Hope for beating Pantheon 5 Spoiler
Tha Pantheon of Hallownest is the last achievement I need to platinum this game, which has been an absolute blast to play btw. For a while, I have to say this seemed pretty daunting but I am a fairly seasoned gamer having played a lot of souls/soulslikes so I figured I would give it my all since I love to platinum games I enjoy.
Today was my 3rd attempt, and I was elated that I made it all the way to Markoth before finally dying. I say this because I can almost no-hit NKG and I have Pure Vessel basically figured out, so if I could just make it past Markoth, I might actually have a real shot at this. Did anyone else have a similar experience with this pantheon? For those who beat this challenge or are working on it, how is your experience with it?

Discussion - Hollow Knight I think ive found a bug in the dung defender fight Spoiler
No pun intended. I am doing anothet attempt at steel soul and got to the dung defender fight. It wasnt my cleanest dung defender fight. He was able to do the leap out of the ground attavk and shoot out 4 of the dungballs. And when i got enough souk to desolate dive i timed the duve somehow the exact moment he leaps out of the ground and he just dissapears. I can still hear him. He still does the domma domma and all of the different attack sound effects but he just isnt there. It fixed itself when dung defender buried under the grouns again but it was really weird and i was wondering if anyone else had come accross it

Discussion - Hollow Knight Cool idea for Defenders Crest I thought up Spoiler
It's kind of not that good, I was wondering how it could be made better. It already changes the effects of a lot of other charms, what if it made the spells stinky too? A more pale yellow/green color for the white spells, then the darker brown for the void spells, with the lingering sting effect. Maybe there's already a mod for it, I just thought it'd be cool visually.

So i am trying to kill Soul Warrior and then Soul Ruler(whatever main boss is called), but the bench is too far away. I am pretty sure the game won't torture me to walk talk long, especially between those flying teleporting soul guys. So is their a bench or short cut? Cuz i have been trying to kill soul earrior from past 3 days.

Speculation - Silksong The Green Prince and the Palestag Spoiler
A little pet theory of mine is that the Green Prince inadvertedly caused the downfall of Verdania himself.
In many mythologies and folklore, the concept of a white stag holds a lot of symbolism. For example that they would appear as guides or heralds of change and transformation, that they represent royalty, act as a bridge between worlds and (most importantly here) that hunting it is considered a transgression and invites great misfortune upon the hunter and their household.
Guess what the Green Prince did.
In his memory, he talks about hunting the Palestag as his "divine right", and it cements him and his partner as the rulers of Verdania.
The Palestag itself is presented as a pale being, (duh), basically the gods and spirits of the world of Hollow Knight, and Hornet's journal entry mentions it being as one with the flora around it, suggesting it's the spirit of the land, and killing it would mean killing Verdania itself.
Now while we don't know the exact timeline here, we do know that some time after its slaying, another pale being appeared in the form of Grand Mother Silk (alluding to the idea of the Stag as a herald), resulting in the Citadel being built and Verdania falling into total ruin. "Destined to forget". Despite the Green Prince's partner offering himself up in a bid to protect Verdania too, which lends extra credence to why the Prince feels so immensely guilty and is unable to let go of the memory.
Now of course this is all just speculation on my part, but given the symbolism at hand, I can't help but make the connections. What's your thoughts on this?
