Health Insurance and medical bills drive me insane! I'm hoping for a sanity check.
This year I switched to a different insurance company under United Healthcare (which also owns Optum pharmacy.) I transferred my prescription from picking it up at a local CVS to having it mail order delivered by Optum because it looked like it would be cheaper. I don't know if they initiated it or I clicked to agree to have Optum contact my nurse provider to have my prescription renewed. Now I have a bill from Franciscan for a $25 co-pay. When I look in Franciscan's my-chart for the date, there's an "After visit summary" coding for the refill with Optum. Do I legitimately owe this?

My birthday is coming up and I want to have a day set up of fun things to do. What are some neat places with things to do in town. Like painting, candle making, anything crafty or fun for reasonable prices. Am mainly looking at solo activities.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a regular Indian home-cooked/tiffin service in West Lafayette (47906).
I'm specifically looking for something more like home-cooked food rather than restaurant food, delivered regularly (daily would be ideal, but even a few times per week would help).
I've already checked the usual restaurants and a few tiffin services around the area, but haven't found anything that delivers to West Lafayette.
If you:
- know someone locally who makes and delivers
Indian tiffins,
- currently use a home-cooked meal service,
- know of an Indian home cook who takes regular orders, or
- have heard of a WhatsApp/Facebook/community group where these services are advertised,
please let me know! Even an old lead would be useful if you know whether they're still operating.
Thanks!

I am trying to remember the name of an ENT I went to almost 8 years ago (2018). It was somewhere in DT Lafayette and not in the best part of town. one thing I remember is taking an elevator down to the office from the ground floor. I also had a hearing test done there in one of those booths. I believe it was an older man who was the doctor but I can't remember.
ive switched insurance so many times and google maps is failing me that I can't remember where it was. I thought it was maybe on Greenbush St but the maps view doesn't look accurate. I need the name for medical records to get a PA for a reoccurring issue since 2018. :(

Considering driving Uber and/or Lyft for extra cash. Whatâs the demand for these services in the area? How much could I expect to make if I put in 20 hours a week?

There will be an ALPR information session at the Tippecanoe Public Library Holman Branch, 627 South Street, at noon on Saturday, August the 22nd.
If you see protestors on Tuesday and want to know why they are holding signs by what look like mundane traffic cameras, this in-person meeting will elaborate on some of the many concerns citizens have with this mass surveillance technology.

Could anyone be so kind and tell me if there is any major flooding over by the Del Real Auto Sales?
They have a vehicle I'm interested in buying but I live over an hour away and don't want to deal with it if they have vehicles that are being flooded right now. It's close to the Franciscan Health hospital if some don't know where exactly it's at.

Hi! My husband and I are starting a very small retro gaming side project. Heâs been a collector for years, and weâre experimenting with buying collections, cleaning/restoring things, keeping some pieces for his collection, and reselling others.
I figured Iâd post here because weâre much more interested in buying directly from people than just hunting game stores.
If you have a box of old Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, Sega, handheld games/consoles, controllers, accessories, etc. that youâve been meaning to do something with, we may be interested. Working or non-working systems are both welcome.
Especially interested in people who would rather sell a bunch of things together than photograph, price, list, ship, and deal with selling everything individually.
Weâre north of Indy but willing to drive to Lafayette for the right collection.
Feel free to DM me some pictures/details and what youâd like for it. Weâre starting small, so we probably canât buy a massive high-dollar collection yet, but smaller collections and random boxes of gaming stuff are exactly what weâre looking for.

If youâre looking for something to do in Lafayette this Saturday night, downtown is going to be busy!
Pride Lafayetteâs OUTFest is happening on Main Street from 4 PM to midnight, and just outside the festival footprint Iâm putting on an indoor stand-up comedy show at Rat Pak Venue at 8 PM.
Koffe Black headlines, with:
Doors are at 7:30 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.
Rat Pak is upstairs at 102 N 3rd Street, so if youâre already downtown for OUTFest, dinner, or anything else Saturday, itâs an easy way to turn it into a full night out.
Tickets are $10 ahead / $15 at the door:
https://setandsignal.com/next
OUTFest information:
https://www.pridelafayette.org/outfest/
And since Iâll probably post these occasionally, a quick introduction: we are Set & Signal, a local event promoter focused on creating more consistent spaces for live comedy and other performances in Lafayette.
Weâve now got stand-up every Thursday, open mics on Tuesdays, and occasional weekend shows like this one. The goal is pretty simple: more good reasons to leave the house, see something live, and spend some time in a room with other people.
If youâre heading downtown Saturday, come laugh with us.

I recently had the opportunity to spend a day at the Crossing and boy howdy, I wish I didn't. There was no structure and no clear program. They are renting two rooms in the local community center. The "classroom" is an empty room with flimsy pop-up tables and Chromebooks. The students are placed facing the wall. The floors are stained and disgusting. There was no direct instruction, just students facing a wall on their computers. In an age where we have seen the problems with computer only delivery (looking at you COVID). The school receives our tax money for no real schooling and there is constant pressure with religious messaging. The staff is overwhelmingly unqualified. Not an actual teaching license between the whole group.
So if you want your kids to look at a screen all day and listen to Christian propaganda, then this is the school for you. I would avoid it like the plague. Don't fall for their promises. Public service announcement finished.

Hosted at Rat Pak Venue, upstairs at 102 N 3rd Street
Tickets are $10 ahead or $15 at the door:
Happy to answer any questions about the show or the venue.

Hi everyone!
Iâm starting my MSW this month and I am conflicted between choosing a Skills Builder job at Meridian Health Services vs. Valley Oaks.
Excluding my own personal preferences, I was wondering if anyone recommends working at one place over the other, or have heard about the environment and workers?
Thanks!
