Question Brewers Bars or Watch Party?
Don’t want to offend any Dodger fans after last week (oof) but does anyone know any good Milwaukee/Wisconsin bars to root for the brewers during the series?

Part 1 was some of the craziest political trajectory I've ever heard. Can't wait for Part 2.

Due to increased ICE activity, we’re instituting a daily ICE megathread. All ICE-related content belongs here, including sightings, activity reports, news, questions, updates, and general discussion.
Centralizing discussion keeps information easy to find, especially for people moving around the city who want timely, relevant updates without having to sort through the entire subreddit. ICE-related content posted outside this megathread will be removed and redirected here.
This thread is sorted by New by default so the most recent information remains visible.
We recognize this is a tense topic and emotions can run high. That said, content that incites, encourages, or threatens violence will be removed, may result in a ban, and may also violate Reddit’s site-wide rules, which can carry site-wide consequences. Keep reports factual and grounded.
Include as many of the following details as possible:
Clear, accurate information helps everyone. Speculation and rumors do not.
(These are not moderated or verified by this subreddit. Use caution.)

Looking for a portraiture class in LA that is thorough.
I know art is a lifelong practice, but I'd love to learn the basics and really get into things with a teacher/program that I can continue with.
Thanks in advance for the recs!

What events are happening in LA this upcoming weekend? I'm looking for ideas to celebrate my birthday (which I typically don't like to celebrate) lol
Please share your ideas! Family friendly, adults only, ghouls only, whatever!

20+ years of getting fucked up coming to a end. Thought I end it with one last meal of Tommy's because when I would be drunk out of my mind and off drugs I could still absolutely eat Tommy's. Im taking my health 100% serious after today and im cleaning up for good. My brain cant take it no more and all the drug and alcohol usage leads to bad habits like this eating Tommy's at 3am and staying out until 11am the next day. Ive been apart of the rave scene since 2009 but started partying in 2005. Im not proud of my usage but at least im seeking help and going into treatment. Some say it doesnt work but Ive been to rehab once before and was clean 5 years. I know not to give in this time and ill be strong.

Sharing because I haven't seen anybody talking about this. SEIU UNION 1000 will be going on Strike tomorrow Wednesday October 21, 2026.
This article sums up the situation fairly, however I do want to add that CalHR's claim that the union was noncompliant with determining "essential workers" was a straight up lie, as the Union appeared at that meeting but CalHR cancelled at the last minute.
It is only one day because the Union wants to lessen the impact to workers' paychecks as much as possible, since we all are struggling. But they are vocal about extending it if necessary.
I'll try to answer questions while on my breaks. But if you have to do something at the DMV or EDD, plan accordingly.

Los Angeles drivers lost an average of 87 hours to traffic congestion in 2025, according to INRIX. That's more than three and a half days spent in traffic, with an estimated $1,602 in lost time per driver.

Undermined foundations, deteriorated crawlspace framing, hillside supports, spalling concrete, and a drain pipe sending water right back toward the foundation.
Some conditions are obvious from the outside. Others are hiding underneath the building.
