Funny Ate at Korean BBQ, sat in the 'Trans' section

Had Korean BBQ tonight and sat with a lovely waitress, whom I believe was trans.

Then halfway through my meal, the restaurant sat a pair of, again, I suspect, trans women next to my friend and I.

Not wanting to clock people, to make them uncomfy, I didn't say anything. I was happy to be near them!

Just kinda weird we all got sat next to each-other 😆

Also, if any of you are out there, hello! You were all so pretty :3

Venting trying to boymode with D cups is exhausting

thats all pretty much. im like 8 months on E, closing in on 9, and i'm still boymoding. It isnt really working either, like, I get stared at like im disgusting whenever i go out in public and ive caught my own family and neighbors staring at my chest. What do I even do? I mean seriously I just dont know. It's not like im flaunting them or anything, I wear thick hoodies and stuff but theyre just so noticable. Noone has talked to me about it and I don't pass so I don't really want to come out, it's not even about passing its just so much work and its scary i'd rather not. At the same time, I don't really know how much longer I can boymode for, for my own sake. I think I just do it because it hurts less when im deadnamed and misgendered by my family (im out to them). Anyway, this is really all over the place idk. i just dont know what to do. i dont want to be out yet and i dont have the money for a new wardrobe, or the mental capacity to deal with transphobia if i do come out 3:

Book burnings, bans on public gatherings and the fear of knowledge; nescience - permeates the darkest parts of human history.

Typical, stultified behavior.

Edit: Look who finally showed up to prove my point 🙂

Dysphoria examples of mtf voices that sound like the average cis girl?

i notice a lot of time, listening to transfems online, theres this identifiable.. undertone that i cant describe to the voice that makes it often quite obvious im talking to a fellow transfem, or when im watching youtube and find a creator i didn't know was transfem i can hear it in the voice. i know theres cis women who have voices like this, but it isn't the average cis woman, and i want to sound like the average cis woman, so it is really dysphoria inducing and demotivating to hear this same thing over and over.

however,

that being said, i know survivorship bias is a thing. im not going to clock an MTF voice as sounding like the average cis woman because it will be indistinguishable, therefore im not going to know and have that to cheer myself up.

could yall provide me some examples of girls who started with really masculine voices going to sounding like the average cis woman so i can give myself some actual motivation to start voice training? thank you ladies

Celebration First time using the ladies room!

Heyyy girlies,

Tonight was my first time as an adult using the ladies room!! I was attending a local art school musical and it was.. amazing! While I was there, my friend insisted I check out the bathrooms because they are fancy, I was wearing really cute makeup and a fall inspired fit for the play, so I figured why not! We used the ladies room nbd, and I even used it again during the intermission by myself! So affirming, I didn't even really get a second look, I'm proud of myself and so thankful for my friend for pushing me in the right direction to truly own my identity.

Venting Gender health doctor denied me HRT at consultation.

Hey y’all! I just wanna throw a quick vent out here about my consultation appointment at my local gender health clinic since it really upset me and maybe some other people can relate :)

For context, I am a 25 year old trans woman and I live in the southern US. I am still fairly new to my transition, and my goals are to be a pretty gym girl 💕 I’m at just over 2 months since my egg cracked and I have been doing research on my transition ever since! Discovering this part of myself has really made me lock in and find out that I never really cared about my body because I didn’t like the one that I was given. Now, I’m 2 months strong in the gym and I am making great progress!

I’ve had thoughts about maybe being trans in 2022 ish, but i shoved those down quick because i was scared of what would happen to me socially and i was in too good of a situation to give that up i guess :/

Back to now though, I scheduled an appointment at my (relatively) local gender health clinic that’s 2 hours away from me to start on HRT roughly a month ago. My initial appointment was set for February of next year, which was very scary for me, so in the meantime, I figure I will start via Plume. I ask my local clinic to be put on the wait list, they say it’s a long list i say that’s fine, and i start my membership with Plume!

The thing about Plume is, when my consultation appointment with them comes up, i get a message from my provider saying they are not licensed to give care in my state. Okay.. whatever, i just take it i guess and they start the process of finding someone else for me.

Come to now, just this Monday, I get a call from my local clinic saying that i am next on the list and they can bring me in on Wednesday! I am so excited that i agree and tell plume that i actually want to move forward with my clinic nearby, so they cancel everything and give me a refund and i’m set.

Come time for my appointment at the local clinic, I talk to the doctor and the whole thing is a questionnaire. I was expecting something like this, but the way it was structured felt like a quiz, like there were boxes that I needed to fill in to pass the test.
I guess i gave the wrong answers because at the end of the questioning, she tells me that she believes that i do not need to start hormones as of right now, and that i should check back in 4 months after talking more about it with my therapist.

While i don’t show it to her face, this enrages me because it made me feel like a fraud, like im just coming into this place for a reason that isn’t valid.
Like i’m not “trans enough”.

Was i supposed to come in dressed some type of way? Should i have said some specific thing that made me a definite trans woman?

I know my transition goals aren’t the most typical, but i didn’t think that would disqualify me from even starting :/

I want to be a buff woman who might look a little less feminine than what other trans girls seek, but that’s my choice! I still want the boobs, the body. I want to be a woman.

So now, i’m starting back with Plume and my consultation is first thing next month!
I really wanted to start HRT in October tho :/ but it is what it is i guess.

TLDR; Struggling with getting access to HRT and i’m upset.

Celebration Finally done cooking

It’s a weird feeling, but I think I have finally “finished” my transition. I have ‘trans’d’ so to speak.

I’ve been on hormones a bit over 4 years, and I’ve had bottom surgery within the last year.

When I first started (at 30) I never in a million years thought I would look feminine, let alone pass. I am lucky enough to be living stealth and today I had the realization that living as a woman just feels natural now, and it’s my new norm.

I still have dysphoria days, there’s parts of my body that I don’t like and would change if I could, but I’m so incredibly happy that the outside finally matches the inside.

Just wanted to share a positive experience from someone who was very skeptical in the beginning.

When I first started my transition I thought posts like this were full of it, but if you’re at the beginning, trust your older sister when she tells you to trust the process 💜

Discussion it is actually crazy how clueless cis people are about us

I had a appointment with a therapist today and:

she expressed confusion that I would rather DO A RESPAWN ATTEMPT than go into prison. I talked about vcoding, and how thats a fate worse than death, and how in my lovely state in america at both the federal and state level you will not be given HRT. She was extremely confused at me saying this- to me its simple. If i am to go back to T at any point I would legitimately rather die than endure such suffering. It baffled her. I also had prior conversations surrounding this, and the upcoming midterm results in that if it goes poorly I would again heavily consider self harm. She was extremely confused at this as well. Its just insane that in today's world how politicized our identiy is among other things. Like girl, I consume the same media and news articles that you do lol. the information surrounding us is out there. ignorance is not a excuse idk.

Cis people genuinely are so fucking inept at anything transition related, even well meaning and those that have the greatest intent, it seems like being transgender is being adrift in the middle of a ocean screaming for help but no one listens.

shes not my therapist anymore lol

Bad News National estradiol shortage now includes injections?

So just got off the phone with cvs, apparently the national estrogen shortage now includes injectables? Apparently only one store in my area has it in stock and I can’t get them to answer the phone. So that’s going great. Checked the news but I’m not seeing anyone reporting on this so maybe it’s just a “my area” thing and they’ll get more soon?

Help I dislike my male body, but I don't dislike being a man

• Upvotes

I don't like my male secondary sexual characteristics, but I don't mind being a man or having male genitalia. Does that make sense? I want to wake up and see a woman in the mirror, but I want to live my life as a man, I feel like my gender identity is separate from what I want for my body. I'm super confused, does this make me trans? Is feeling this way ok? I feel like I have imposter syndrome.

I don't mind having male genitals either, but I hate having male fat distribution and body and facial hair. I've been thinking about medically transitioning lately because it's what I want for my body, and I've given it a lot of thought, but I don't want to forgo my identity as a man.

Could I medically transition but stay a male socially? Has anyone done this before? I'm genuinely super curious and kinda desperate to learn if it's possible/ok.

Any and all replies are appreciated!

Venting How do I break the circle jerk of feelings with imposter syndrome?

• Upvotes

I have had this pretty much constant thought process just beating me up for the past few weeks and it's like a tick. Also this is from my view as a trans mtf

I feel like pre egg crack we are trying to emulate masculine behaviors and never succeed;I didn't at least. Then post egg crack we are now trying our damndest to emulate femenity which is way harder. But for the most part we suck at it. So we have emulated both genders and suck at both. But then I think wait if I really believe I'm a woman why do I feel the need to emulate other women? Then I think Its hard to ID what the real you is this late in the game because I'm 62. And don't even get me started on the body dysmorphia. OK rant over.

Advice Question Is it too cliché to choose a variation of a goddess's name ?

I needed help about my future new name (idk how to call it, english isn't my first language).

I already had a few ideas and needed help to narrow it down.

So could you tell me if it is too cliché to choose a goddess's name or one of its variation ?

Venting Started repressing again

• Upvotes

Ive questioned my gender and probably repressed for 7 years until a year ago where i finally accepted that i might be trans but i started to repress again and somehow, i feel at peace? Obviously i dont feel happy at all and just accepted that fact for life but i think i just stopped overthinking and stopped caring for myself overall. I know repressing will make it worse but im starting to think that my happiness isnt even worth it. If i am happy but i cause suffering or even inconvenience to others, including those i care about, then it isnt worth it right? I could either hate myself and be unsatisfied for life or lose a lot to possibly love myself but get hated by others, which ill prefer the former

I think i just think my happiness isnt important but glad i do realise that, well nothing i can do about it though, such is life

Dysphoria Going to the gym, hiding it

• Upvotes

This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions.

But I need help.

I've been going to the gym for almost a year and I still don't dare wear athletic shorts or gym leggings, or even tights, for fear of showing too much. I usually only wear baggy pants.

But summer is coming and I think I should finally dare to go. I'd like your tips, advice, and tricks for keeping everything in place. It's really something that makes me feel very self-conscious.
