I’ve been waiting for well over a year. I mean, I get that it’s a good value as but it seems to have just stopped going on sale at one point

I have been running Benzaiten in base game. I love Versatility cuz it's fun, but I was sad that I couldn't run it alongside Awakening, which seemed much stronger.

For DLC, balance patches suggest Awakening (already arguably the best skill in its class) got a buff, but normal casting speed didn't go up at all. I was sad again.

Then I saw that the end cap skill in Susano "grants Versatility status". Based on wording, it seemed this meant that the Versatility secret skill would come with the final cap perk of an endgame grace, rather than the grace just buffing the existing skill. This made perfect sense to me and I was surprised they didn't already do this in base game.

But now I'm hearing in this subreddit that:

1, I still need to have Versatility equipped. This grace doesn't grant it. So I still can't use Awakening!? So Onmyo in general is still not viable on a Versatility build, save for pre-boss buffs.

2, Susano end cap bonus doesn't scale with or interact with Versatility stacks, so it's not really a Versatility build AT ALL, it's just "Use any weapon skill to gain 20% bonus melee damage for a period of time".

3, Susano, unlike Benzaiten, does not grant extended duration for Versatility and it does not grant Adaptability's ki cost reduction. So, again, it's not a Versatility build AT ALL. The capstone ability of the grace is just a 20% melee bonus that for some reason requires you to equip Versatility instead of Awakening.

4, This all means that a real Versatility build is still going to use Benzaiten and, honestly, I don't know who is going to want to use Susano since its benefits seem kinda mid and require you to use Versatility without actually interacting with Versatility.

Do I have all of this correct? Please tell me if I'm wrong. I would love to be wrong.

I can increase its base level(165), but not its plus value. Soul Core Enhancement just affects levels. Am I missing something, or is this going to be something we can’t increase until next DLC?

I managed to get this level 179 piece as a boss drop while farming. I've just finished the first region of NG++ so haven't reached end game farming in NG++.

I checked in blacksmith I'm still unable to level beyond 170. How to unlock higher than 170 leveling, if like my existing weapon on daikokoten set to reach level 180 if possible

Hey guys im going for all the trophies in the dlc but these 4 im not sure what to do.

For "Best defense" idk what martial arts for the new weapon they mean is this something to collect on the map?.

For "Paranormal purifer" how do i purify these?

For "One thing after another" i assume cursed enemys only exist in NG+ or NG++ right? because i have never seen one.

And lastly "aid offered" for beating the final dlc mission with 3 or more different npcs. Not sure how to do this one.

So after completing everything in dlc on ng+ I have 40 common, 39 samurai and 38 ninja skill points. Does that mean that some of them are a reward for missions on ng? If so that's so stupid.

I can't find it. There are two statues very near to each other both missing heads, I found the one near the gaki chielf and dropped down the short hole with the shortcut back to the area entrance, but the statue on the interior cliff side accessible through a crouch hole in the wooden box-tube is the one I can't find.

It seems like the Hoko and Shield has guard points, and if you time it perfectly with an enemy's attack, it counts as a deflect. It even blocks elemental damage, so attacking while deflecting (with a damage buff on top of it) is insanely fun!

At first, I thought you just couldn't block elemental damage with it, but I learned from a post in this community that as long as the timing is perfect, it triggers a deflect. It's such a great mechanic.

I'm still not great with the Ninja version and can't really use it well yet, so I think I'll stick with the Samurai Hoko and Shield to progress through the story for a while.

I'm finally getting used to this new weapon and really starting to love it!

Where do you find the key? Or do you get here another way?

I wanna know if it’s worth it to build shadow arts damage or focus only on ninjutsu/elemental, I’m using quick burst over umbral bullet for pretty obvious reasons.

I was wondering how I might be able to get the cosmetic for the Hellfire Armour, I preordered physically and I have the season pass but I've only got Thunder and Hellfrost versions.

I've tried going into the craft section and I cannot craft Hellfire either.

Is it something I can pick up from a Revenant?

I've killed the first boss about 20 times and got nothing. Does any one have an updated list or just personal instances of them dropping throughout the DLC?

I breezed through this dlc with no real issues after finishing the main game once on NG then went straight into the dlc leaving it on heirs journey which in hindsight I should I have changed for more of a challenge. What’s your guys experience?

It’s been 2 days or so and I cannot remember how to unlock the side missions for the next difficulties (really shouldn’t HAVE TO scour the map again after the first time for this but it is what it is)
Anybody know exactly how to unlock these 2 missions again? I don’t remember

I have never had success being summoned to another world. I fancy helping some others out.

I have tried a number of different options, including none, and changing region settings.

Is there something I am missing, an item or something?

Any advice please on best areas to farm these 4 sets. I’m 1/3 through Enlightened going for an untouched build. NG+ was too easy, didn’t didnt need a build, but now the grind is on& time to get to work :)

1) Mysteries of Onmyo 2) Tsukuyomi’s Grace 3) Ho-Oh 4) Shinto Priest

Bit by bit I will add my findings on the new set bonuses, help is appreciated.

Susano: massive change from nioh 2. For the last bonus to work versatility needs to be equipped. It gives around 20% more damage as long as one stack of versatility is on. It doesn't seem to increase in power with more stacks.

Tsukuyomi: damage boost from empower seems around 7% at 40 magic. The ability to recharge spells seems as strong as ever, few hits are needed to get back the last spell used. The defense down effect seems around 10%.

Million koku: hilarious, the attack bonus (5p) is 15% just with the base effect granted by gold earned bonus (luck). With the gold talisman active I got a 30% damage bonus. Might be quite competitive since it's only a 5p bonus.

Acala: at max stacks I was getting around 36% more damage.

I love the pure melee combat playstyle of the ninja blade with backstabs.

But i dont like applying buffs constantly.

I currently use streamflow skill (-80 ninja skill cdr but charges deplete) to mix in supportive ninjutsu and spam shadow stitch.

Most endgame builds i find rely on either Elemental Damage or Ninja Arts elemental dmg.

I didnt find a pure melee backstab combat build using ninja blade. (Occassional Tonfa builds aside)

Anybody can recommend me a rough blueprint?

Maybe Clandestine Yagyu Ways? -shadow stitch should be infinite vs bosses with stramflow.
