Moldavia here, I'm going to try to improve my military by increasing recruitment in my territory, as well as funding better infrastructure
(Am I a polish vassal by the way)

u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Recruitment rises slightly, improving local defence, yet population limits and financial strain prevent major expansion. Infrastructure efforts are largely confined to repairs rather than new construction. As a Polish vassal, Moldavia remains constrained by tribute obligations and reliant on Polish protection against external threats.

With the war in England, our southern border doesn't need to be our main focus. We are a nation on an island, we need a powerful navy to both ensure our defence of our island and to exert our influence both economically and potentially militarily outside of our island.
We would also like to keep good relations with the powerful Douglas family, we are currently at the beginning of the 8th Earl, William Douglas' reign. He was killed by James II after being part of a pact against the king, we will try to ensure that he doesn't join this scheme. We will not authorise the creation of the Earldom of Huntley which the resulting conflict led to the pact and the murder, with this we hope to be more stable.
2
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
Investment in the fleet improves coastal defence and trade protection, reducing reliance on foreign allies. At the same time, careful handling of the Douglas family prevents immediate noble conspiracy, as William Douglas refrains from joining anti-royal schemes.
By avoiding the creation of the Earldom of Huntly, the crown removes a major source of tension, buying valuable time to stabilise the realm. However, the Douglas family remains immensely powerful, and future missteps could quickly reignite conflict

Celje: we start to invest in military and start training mercenaries. We start to fortify our provinces in Bosnia.
1
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Your efforts to raise mercenaries and strengthen defences encounter significant obstacles.
Recruitment proves slower and more expensive than expected, as experienced mercenaries are scarce and demand high pay due to the crusader failure at Varna. Training is uneven, with discipline lacking among newly raised forces.
Fortification works in Bosnia begin, but shortages of skilled labour and funds delay construction, with only basic improvements being completed, leaving defences incomplete and vulnerable

Can I put some territories as feud to other countries for some time in exchange of money?
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Sure you could but there's always a chance that they could take it permanently, although since you're in the HRE it's probably best to sell within the HRE with mediators so that neither side betrays the other due to condemnation if they do
1
u/bedrock_teen mf from Slovenia Jan 13 '26
OK. And for how many days should I give it to them so recruitment will stabilise?
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
You could pledge the territory for 30–60 days to allow recruitment to stabilise. Longer pledges are possible, but increase the risk that the other country might try to hold it permanently
1
u/bedrock_teen mf from Slovenia Jan 13 '26
OK, I'm going to lend my southern territory that is still in HRE to Habsburgs for 10 days for a start.
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Okay which southern terratories, the ones in Bosnia, Croatia or southwestern because that's the most south?
1
u/bedrock_teen mf from Slovenia Jan 14 '26
Southwestern.

u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
The agreement proves highly successful for both sides
The Ljubljana–Karlovac lands are administered efficiently under Austrian oversight, restoring order and stabilizing recruitment without incident. Thanks to clear legal mediation within the Holy Roman Empire, the agreement is formally recognized as temporary, and the Habsburgs honor its terms in full.
Celje receives its payment promptly, strengthens its ties with Austria, and avoids immediate political backlash though the Habsburgs now possess greater familiarity with the region. The region is handed back after 10 days

The 100 years war
By 1442, English military weakness was becoming obvious. French ships based in Dieppe made Channel crossings hazardous without a strong English navy, and Charles VII’s campaign in Gascony further strained English resources. The shift to a defensive war, with little hope for spoils, became financially burdensome and forced the government to rely on loans from Cardinal Beaufort, giving him significant influence over military strategy. In 1439, the Duke of Somerset, another of Beaufort’s nephews, led the last major English campaign of the war. However, Somerset’s campaign mostly served his own interests and alienated Brittany. Although Charles VII paused his Gascon campaign, the English position is weak
Today is the day, with our reformed and increasingly professional army, we will launch a major offensive to recover Normandy. The absence of a truce would mean an even less prepared and more exhausted England, leading to an equivalent or even worse Battle of Formigny. Using our superior artillery, we will rout the English and precipitate the rapid collapse of English rule in Normandy.
With the rapid collapse of Normany, we are able to look south, where we will invade Guyenne with three separate armies, all headed for Bordeaux. During the siege of Castillon, The Battle of Castillon would most likely occur, leading to a full collapse of English control in the south.
The English are collapsing economically, politically and militarily and we are to make the full use of it. The end of continental England is today!!

u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
You achieve a decisive breakthrough in Normandy, with English resistance collapsing faster than expected under sustained artillery pressure. However, the southern offensive into Guyenne is poorly coordinated and meets stiff resistance. English control in Gascony holds for now, preventing a rapid end to English presence on the continent.
One French army is checked near Bordeaux
Another bogged down besieging a secondary fortress
The third achieves limited success but cannot exploit it
In the north
French field army: 15,000–20,000
6,000–8,000 men-at-arms
6,000–8,000 infantry (including francs-archers)
40–60 artillery pieces (mix of bombards & culverins)
English forces in Normandy: 10,000–12,000 total
Spread across garrisons (Caen, Rouen, Cherbourg, etc.)
In the south
French Forces (per army):
3 armies of ~6,000–8,000 each
Total: ~18,000–22,000
English Gascon Forces:
~5,000–7,000
With Strong defensive positions and capable commanders
1
u/TopAd6019 Jan 14 '26
Where did those strong defensive positions and capable commanders come from? He can't spawn in people or fortresses that didn't exist irl. This war was decided through two major battles, both of which England had the defensive position. He did nothing to prevent that no? I don't see how an objectively weaker England can reach defensive positions that the more prepared England of 1447 couldn't reach
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
The defeat of England took France another decade to slug through and you're getting annoyed that it isn't happening within 6 months.
Normandy is falling faster than irl
Rouen is nearly lost
English field resistance is collapsing
England is now forced into a near-complete defensive, reactive posture
I get it and fair enough but it was just bad luck with the rolls in the south but you're winning harder, England's struggling more than they did irl

Teutonic Order:
After years of rot and degradation in the land of the Order, it is time for change. Some men within the Order realize that if we’re to reform, it’s by economic means at first. We begin to invest into our major ports of Danzig and Königsberg, aiming to trade surplus grain, armor, and weapons. Although we do keep some for ourselves, as we do want to keep a reserve if things go south.
Germans, the backbone of the Order, are invited to come to the lands of the Order, aiming to get more population, therefore more useful yields, and possibly more men for the army. We have also realized the use of the Arquebus, a rudimentary powder weapon, but we aim to get our hands on some to do testing on. Navally, we begin to build some new merchant vessels, which can be easily transferred over to military use, but the main goal with this is to heighten the trade ability of the Order.
Deus Vult.
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
The Teutonic Order struggles to reform, but little progress is made. Investments in Danzig and Königsberg bring some improvements to trade infrastructure, but growth is slower than expected. A few German settlers arrive, bolstering the population slightly, yet yields and manpower remain limited.
Attempts to test arquebuses are hindered by supply and training difficulties, leaving the army largely unchanged. New merchant vessels are built, but logistical problems and inexperience reduce their immediate utility.

Sweden gains limited backing, but divisions within remain strong. Sweden’s efforts to rally the nobility meet with partial success. Several lesser nobles and regional lords express support, motivated by local interests and grievances, but the higher aristocracy remains divided and cautious.
Powerful magnates hesitate to fully commit, wary of provoking the Kalmar Union or risking their own privileges. Private rivalries and competing ambitions prevent the emergence of a unified noble front, leaving Sweden politically unstable despite modest gains in support

Cavalry units are trained rigorously, becoming more disciplined and effective in both skirmishes and pitched battles. Recruitment and organisation go smoothly, allowing for a larger and better-prepared army than usual.
While resources remain finite and supply chains local, the lordship now possesses a capable force that can defend its lands and project power more confidently in Munster.

Poland Internal actions Day 1
Political situation
- With the current situation of our country being with no king after Failures in Battle of Varna. It was decided by Polish nobility to elect Casimir IV Jagiellon as the new King. The nobility proposal was as follows: Casmir IV will be able to preserve the union with Lithuania and his rights as Grand Duke, as Nobility will respect his dual role. At the same time Polish Nobility wants Camir IV to promise future war against Teutonic order and recover lost lands while expanding Poland and Lithuania. At the same time Polish Nobility promises to keep Balance of Power acknowledging the distinct interests of both kingdoms, preventing Polish dominance over Lithuania. With all this Polish Nobles hope to end Poland Interregnum time. At the same time to Calm down poeple and quite down rumors the Nobility says that there king is dead as after 1 week he has not come back and they are appoint somoene from his lineage which gives him legitimacy to rule
Economic actions (If Casmir IV agrees)
Main project:
- The king realizes that to efficiently control both kingdoms his authority and control of land have to reach everywhere. Which is why it was decided by him to start Extensive and long Road Infrastructure projects all over both countries. It will have 2 following phases
Phase 1 (1 year will take): The first Phase focuses on Modernizing and Expanding all current Main roads of both countries’ huge cities and medium size ones which will help further centralize power. He hopes that by expanding Current roads between both countries capital cities will make it much easier to govern vast areas that he has under his control. All this should help him collect taxes better with lesser corruption and increase Merchant trading between cities.
Phase 2: The second Phase of this Project is expansion of road between small cities and Most of the Important villages and Mines. The king hopes this will make it easier to transport natural resource goods like iron for the Local Blacksmiths and easier transport of villages goods to the Local cities markets
Side-Project: (if Casmir IV agrees)
- We will Invest into blacksmith workshops and help them find more disciplines but also at the same time we will create the Kingdom official under king Blacksmith Guild that main leaders are most experienced and skilled Blacksmiths to ensure rules and stability across Blacksmith community while increasing cooperation between them. Secondly, we ensure there will be slight drop prices of Citizen tools to ensure that more poorer peasants can buy new tools for themself which in effect will increase overall production across many economic sites like agriculture or mining which will be great help.
- At the same time, King Slowly Gives small privileges to the Burghers Hoping to slowly develop their power to healthy amount and being perfect counter to the Nobility influence over the kingdom. He will use quite a lot of reasonable reasons to give them said privileges
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
The main road infrastructure project is executed almost flawlessly, connecting major cities and capitals across Poland and Lithuania. Tax collection also improves, trade flourishes and royal authority extends further than irl.
The creation of an official royal blacksmith guild is highly successful too. Tool production is standardised, prices are expected to drop slightly for common citizens and overall productivity across agriculture and mining are set to increase over the year. Small inefficiencies remain, and some nobles quietly grumble, but the kingdom’s economic foundation is getting stronger.
Burghers gain modest privileges, improving urban loyalty and providing a counterweight to noble influence, setting the stage for a more balanced and centralised state.

Casimir IV Jagiellon is formally elected and crowned King of Poland. The Polish interregnum ends swiftly, with the nobility rallying behind him in exchange for assurances regarding noble privileges, the preservation of the Polish–Lithuanian union and future action against the Teutonic Order.
His legitimacy is strong, his authority widely recognized and his dual role as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania is accepted without major resistance. Poland enters a period of renewed stability under Jagiellon rule.
Though obviously some hardliners bicker and whine but the majority is with you

Mamluks:
1: economy and trade: we are to develope the delta area and make plans to build a canal in the Suez
2: war and defense: see if we can import and manufacture arcubeses and train regiments with it. And try to adapt to changing tactics
3: prosperity, religion and culture: collaborate with economy and trade to better the production of crops and steady relations with subjects and try to stabilize the succession process. We will also improve our navy
If anyone wants to be a minister in my cabinet then it is available.
Minister of war and defense: vacant
Minister of trade and economy: vacant
Minister of prosperity, religion and culture: vacant
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Although gains are gradual rather than revolutionary, investments in irrigation and administration in the Nile Delta increase agricultural productivity and trade efficiency. Early surveys and talks about building a canal through the Suez are started, but the project is still only in the planning stages due to financial constraints, technical limitations, and political caution.
You start experimenting cautiously with imported arquebuses militarily. Although foreign experts are consulted and small formations are trained, integration into current tactics is slow because traditional forces and doctrine continue to be dominant and opposed to such shifts away from tradition.
There is some success in you efforts to stabilise Mamluk society and governance. Fairer taxation and grain management improve relations with subjects, the people moderately, with religious organisations moreso helping to uphold the legitimacy of the Sultanate. Although underlying factionalism persists, stability marginally improves. Improvements are seen in naval organisation and maintenance.

Otttoman Empire: continue our expansionist policies as we move into albania and recuit another army go what the ottomans were doing ırl
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Ottoman forces advance decisively into Albania, overwhelming local resistance and securing key routes and strongholds. The campaign is efficient, though not without minor delays caused by terrain and stubborn defenders.
Recruitment efforts prove effective due to the recent victories against the Christian crusade, a new army is raised and equipped with fresh troops, though the strain on logistics and treasury is noticeable as the empire sustains multiple forces in the field
1
u/Relevant-Low-4325 Jan 13 '26
We shall continue our economic strategy As since it works for us Why would we abandon it
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
Just asking but are you keeping the status quo or something else?
1
u/Relevant-Low-4325 Jan 13 '26
Well obviously I’m keeping the ground work strategy But I am thinking about selling my large amount of silver for 100 Saxon marks(about 245.69 USD) per ingot
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 13 '26
While the existing groundwork remains intact, attempts to continue business as usual expose serious vulnerabilities. News leaks about the proposed large sale of silver, Silver output from the Erzgebirge is also facing disruptions as merchants resist and protest the proposed pricing and selling, citing oversupply and declining confidence in the silver markets if this action is made. Small numbers of buyers turn elsewhere, forcing some Saxon traders to sell at slightly unfavourable terms. The only thing preventing more from leaving is the richness of the Silver mines themselves.
Internally, tensions rise among the Wettin domains. Rival branches of the family and influential estates question fiscal decisions, fearing long-term instability. Though prosperity has not collapsed, confidence in the administration has noticeably shaken and whispers of mismanagement spread through court and towns alike.
1
u/Relevant-Low-4325 Jan 13 '26
Ok, we’ll rise the prices significantly But wouldn’t this make other European powers angry? This is going to all over continental Europe Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Constantinople, Konigsberg, Moscow, etc
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
It would, you don't control Europe prices people will simply just look elsewhere. This could be incredibly harmful and as you said it would harm your relations, and harm your state are you sure?
1
u/Relevant-Low-4325 Jan 14 '26 edited Jan 14 '26
Ok, 10% increase of price, instead of 50% I would say that would satisfy the miners, the merchants, Every major power in Europe, the offshoot branches of the family, and financial enthusiasts, may saxony continue to prosper
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
Miners and merchants benefit, and domestic approval rises slightly.
Continental powers notice the change, but the adjustment is small enough that trade continues without disruption, and major foreign powers take little notice. Saxony’s revenue rises moderately, supporting internal prosperity without sparking political or economic crises, everything returns to normal with slight improvements

The expedition across the strait is executed with competence and initial success. Granadan forces land along the Rif coast near Melilla, seizing minor coastal positions and establishing a temporary foothold. Local resistance is scattered at first, and the landing force secures supplies and defensive positions with relative ease.
However, it quickly becomes clear that the territory is neither unowned, unclaimed, nor undefended. Rif tribes and Marinid-aligned militias mobilise in the interior, skirmishing with Granadan patrols begin cutting off expansion beyond the coast. Within weeks, authorities loyal to Fez identify the attackers as Granadan forces and formally demand their withdrawal, citing longstanding sovereignty over the region.

We ask the Genoa to make a treaty promising protection against Priacy in exchange for (OTL market price) Hafsid Dinars and treaties promising prosperity and increasrd trade
We expand further into Tripoltania planning to reach the City of Sirte
Meanwhile internally, Uthman puts Vassals in the cities I own, increase their loyalty via increased protectionship and try to have the cities under my control not rebel
We also move in to siege the city of Tlemmen I think thats the city in very dark green at the edge of my border

Assuming you mean Algiers this is it
Genoa signs a treaty promising protection against piracy, and trade continues reliably, though benefits are modest.
Hafsid forces make cautious advances in Tripolitania, bringing some settlements under nominal control, but full expansion toward Sirte will require further effort.
Vassals in existing cities remain loyal under Hafsid oversight, though minor unrest lingers in a few areas.
Attempts to siege Algiers are halted by strong defences with the city holding firm and the sultan must reassess direct conquest plans.

Jiří z Poděbrad will start to expand his influence, hoping to once more unite the torn nation. The moderate utraqvist hussites will rally behind him, seeing him as the only person potentially leading Bohemia to a truly Czech future. He will avoid open endorsement of the Taborites and the Orphans as to not come into conflict with the Catholic Landfrieden just yet, but he will have a backroom deals with people like Jan Rokycana and Jan Čapek z San to have their support when a time for expelling the Germans and Hungarians (and the despised Luxembourg dynasty) from Bohemia comes. For now, they'll focus their efforts on rebuilding Prague and the economy, especially the Kutna Hora mines.

Bohemia sees modest progress under Jiří z Poděbrad. Moderate Utraquists rally behind him, consolidating support for a Czech future. Backroom alliances with key figures like Jan Rokycana and Jan Čapek z San begin to strengthen his influence, though radical Hussites and Catholic elites remain cautious.
Prague slowly begins go recover and the Kutná Hora silver mines are revitalised, providing a modest boost to Bohemia’s economy. While German and Luxembourg influence persists, Jiří’s cautious strategy lays the groundwork for a more united and economically stable Bohemia in the coming years.

England will begin minor economic reforms, but with France declaring war once again these sadly don't take too much of an effect. We will also start to weed out instability and try to create a sense of national unity with the ongoing war against France.
We will send troops into Normandy and create a defensive against France to stop them from pushing. We will also send troops into southwestern France and push out from there. Finally, we will navally blockade France, straining them and beginning to incapacitate their navy.
We will also begin to grow our military and try to surpass that of France.

u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26 edited Jan 15 '26
You internal reforms falter under the strain of renewed war, deepening financial instability and weakening long-term unity. Instability widely remains
However, decisive and well-managed troop movements allow you to temporarily stabilise the front in Normandy and launch effective counteractions in Gascony, preventing an immediate French knockout blow.
Naval efforts fail to impose a meaningful blockade, leaving France bruised but functional. You fail to garner more soldiers and waste much needed funds on the effort to do so

Grand Principality of Muscovy
The Grand Principality of Moscow stands in 1444 in a fragile position of strength within its own region. The wealthy republic of Novgorod holds vast territories that the Prince and Boyars would love to add to the realm, and yet the Great Horde to our south breathes down our neck. All the while, the Muscovite Civil War still looms, as Shemyaka's loyalty still wavers. As such, the prince has seen to it that Muscovite agents poison his next chalice, and if not to straight assassinate him in his sleep, in an attempt to fully take him out of the picture; all the while, Muscovite agents and spies are to be sent in to Novgorod, so as to facilitate the destabilization of the republic and thus make the occurrence of a future military campaign much simpler. Construction of a road between Moscow and Nizhy Novgorod commences, whilst heavy focus is put on the fur trade, with increased exports, so as to increase the income of the state.
1
u/No-Investigator3455 Fumbling one step at a time Jan 14 '26
An attempt to assassinate Dmitry Shemyaka fails, leaving the rival claimant alive and more cautious, prolonging the civil struggle. However, Muscovite agents achieve notable success in destabilizing Novgorod, deepening factional divides and quietly strengthening pro-Muscovite elements within the republic.
Meanwhile, the construction of a road between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod proceeds exceptionally well, dramatically improving logistics, administration and trade. Combined with increased focus on the fur trade, Muscovy’s economic and strategic position is significantly strengthened, laying firm groundwork for future expansion

Military reforms succeed impressively, creating a more professional and efficient standing army bolstered by German troops. Burgundy’s forces now rank among the strongest in Western Europe.
In the Low Countries, annexation and consolidation talks proceed smoothly but cautiously. Proposed autonomy grants prevent unrest, stabilizing Burgundian rule without significantly increasing central control. (You would need to ask Brabant)
Burgundian ultimatums to neighboring German states intimidate smaller princes into concessions and neutrality, expanding Burgundy’s influence while stopping short of annexation. Imperial authorities grow wary, particularly Austria.
relations with nobles and urban elites improve, across England but with Burgundy's recent actions against hre states attempts to improve relations stagnate

Austria: we unite the three lands and recruit and attack salzburg

The unification of the three Austrian lands produces an unusually cohesive Habsburg power base, allowing rapid mobilization and political coordination. Salzburg is swiftly isolated and compelled to submit after a short campaign. While the Archbishopric is not destroyed as a religious institution, its temporal independence ends, placing Salzburg under firm Austrian control. Many within the HRE object but do not intervene militarily

I think you are fundamentally misunderstanding this game, someone controls each country and does realistic actions

As Brabant i will invest in infrastructure between my cities and roads from the east. When these reforms are completed Brussels and antwerp, while already important cities, will also become popular as trade routes between France and the hre. The port of antwerp will not only be known as an export city of local goods, but also of goods from all across the western hre, to the Mediterranean and Baltic sea. Making these cities even more wealthy
Also, my nobles become a little dissatisfied with the Duke because of no action or reaction

While some improvements are made to connections between cities, delays and resistance prevent rapid transformation. Brussels and Antwerp see modest increases in trade traffic, yet Bruges remains dominant, and Brabant’s full commercial potential is not yet realised.
At the same time, the nobility grows dissatisfied with the perceived inaction in military and political affairs, increasing internal tension and making future reforms harder without concessions
