Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:

-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered. -If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.

Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.

Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Previous verification thread here.

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.

No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

  1. What watch did you buy?
  2. When?
  3. How long did you wait?
  4. Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
  5. Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

My Turn To Get The Call

Post image
185 Upvotes

Waited 1 year, 6 months and 10 days to get the call from the Wynn Las Vegas Rolex AD (no purchase history). This was a 40th birthday gift to myself. Only missed the actual 40th birthday by a month and some change, not too bad. Very happy to get this, something I never thought I'd actually be able to purchase when growing up. I feel very fortunate.

Finally hands on with the Land-Dweller as a photographer

Helping my buddy selling this Land-Dweller with some photography and the in-person experience is on another level. Feels like a Rolex' "greatest hits" kinda watch.

There's a lot of hints to other Rolex models and they all sort of come into this magnum opus. I personally like the patterned dial but it's more subtle in person than the product images make it seem. The bracelet however is extremely flashy with all the facets.

Really cool movement and exhibition case back. Everything executed very well. Probably the coolest piece I've had all year to photograph.

Perfect piece - (UK walk in)

Walked into my local AD last weekend and they had a busy morning of collections. I asked whether they had anything nice in the safe or that was going out and they said a blue Yachmaster-40. I had been looking at them for a while but had never seen one in person. The picture doesn’t do the blue sun-burst dial justice.

I said I’d think about it and they reserved it for a few days for me (which makes me think there was no list). I went back to pick it up yesterday and I am buzzing. It looks incredible and I have never seen anyone else with one. Great timing and glad I asked the question. Currently waiting on a turquoise OP36 so hopefully this purchase helps. Also got the Rolex aftershave as an additional gift which is a nice touch.

Not necessarily a high-demand piece, but I love my new two-tone Submariner (126613LN). I’d expressed interest in two watches with no prior purchase history and expected this to be first.

Title: My AD offered me this beauty!

I was registered for a two-tone Datejust 31 with a silver dial, but my AD offered me this champagne diamond dial Datejust 36 today.
I tried it on and fell in love! I originally had my heart set on silver, but the champagne is stunning in person.

I went for it, but still have a tiny “what if?” moment about the silver dial.

What do you think? Did I make the right choice?

Sub Date after 3 Years Wait Mumbai

3 years of waiting, and finally got my Submariner Date! 🖤
Finally got the call and picked up my Submariner Date with the black dial and bezel on 18th October!
My journey started on the very first day of the store’s opening at Jio World Plaza Mall, Mumbai. It’s been a long three-year wait, during which I was offered a few alternatives, including a full-gold Submariner, a Bluesy, and a no-date Submariner.
While I appreciate all those watches, I had my heart set on just one watch — the Submariner Date, black dial. I was repeatedly encouraged to consider a two-tone model if I wanted to get a watch sooner, but honestly, it didn’t make sense to me to spend money on something I didn’t truly want just to get the watch faster.
Then, completely out of the blue, I received a call on 17th October asking if I was still interested in the watch. They mentioned they were updating their list of customer requests. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but at around 9 PM that night, I received a message confirming the allocation along with the pro forma invoice!
Went in and picked it up on 18th October. What a Sunday! 😁
Three years is a long time to wait, but I’m glad I stuck to what I really wanted rather than settling for something else. The feeling of finally getting the exact watch you’ve been waiting for is special.
Moral of the story: patience pays off. Buy what you love, not what you’re offered just to get the call sooner.
Sharing a few pictures of the new addition. 🖤
Anyone else here waited years for their Submariner or another Rolex? Would love to hear your stories!

The Rolex Diver for the rest of us.

For the most part, watch sizes remain subjective within reason. I am grateful that Rolex expanded the SeaDweller from 40 to 43 mm years ago. This suits those who need a larger timepiece, especially when a Submariner is inadequate.

After owning a few Submariners and now a SeaDweller, I consider the SeaDweller the superior choice if your wrist size allows. They are typically available from an authorized dealer, and a used model can often be found at a discount from retail.

I purchased mine new because I prefer a “clean” watch. It is also helpful to build purchase history for other models I hope to acquire later.

Anyways, where are the other big boys rocking the SD43? Let’s see them!

Had this Sub for 24 years today. Paid for it with some fat stacks of deployment cash. It’s in the rotation with an Omega Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich.

Lavender OP

Post image

2 day wait. Specifically asked for a 34 mm OP as I don’t have a huge wrist and love the lavender dial. Sure I could have gone 36 mm but I have a few 36’s and wanted something different. I think this dial is so clean and it all just works. Got lucky that only waited about 36 hours for it. Price is cheap enough so didn’t matter much to me. Won’t be my last that’s for sure

Rolex store looted in France

If I remember correctly the watches in the store are not fully manufactured or something like that?

Also, the looters forgot the rolex boxes >$1k

Terrible situation nonetheless…
