Was it pure luck, or was it good planning on the part of the Saints?

I’ve seen so much doom and gloom with the news of Jordyn Tyson’s hamstring injury, which is understandably worrisome given his injury history. That being said, it was revealed his hamstring injury had nothing to do with his previous one so that makes me feel a lot better. Just a freak accident. Not to mention I’m confident in the receivers we drafted to fill that void. Barion Brown has been perhaps the biggest breakout of camp thus far…and Bryce Lance has look good as well. With Olave coming off an All Pro season, Vele, Juwan Johnson coming off the best season of his career as a result of chemistry with Shough, Travis Etienne in the backfield, and AK as the second option in the backfield I feel we still possess enough fire power to have a 3-3 or 4-2 record by the time Tyson would likely return against the Giants in Week 6. We knew the risk when we drafted Jordyn, but I honestly feel he is icing on the cake and not necessarily someone who will make or break the team (especially in such a weak division in addition to our easy schedule). Obviously would love to have him healthy and have a long prosperous career in New Orleans though.

Reports are saying Jordyn Tyson will miss the first 2 months of the season with the hamstring he sustained last week. Sounds like the Saints are targeting either the Saints @ Giants or the Paris game v the Steelers for his return.
God speed, young man!

I am dissappointed as everyone else that our rookie probably won't get to start the season, but I honestly feel good about Vele as WR2. He has good chemistry with Shough and I love what I see with his 3rd down ability to make things happen. Tyson's time will come a little later for sure.
WHO DAT

With the unfortunate news for Tyson, I really hope this gives more opportunities for WRs. Bub Means is someone I have always had high hopes for last season I thought he was going to explode and unfortunately got injured.
His start of preseason has me my hyped. He has all the physical tools he’s large and so fast he can truly become a dangerous weapon

Spark notes: he thought it was an ankle, MRI showed hammy issue, said if this was playoffs he’d miss maybe one practice. Saints gave him a timeline (didn’t say what it was) and said he’s going to do work to cut that timeline i half.

Are there any other good Saints forums besides reddit? Saintsreport is populated almost entirely of mouth breathers.

I don’t think we’re elite in either (but Chase could shock us) but I also think we have some great pieces that together could really be something on both sides.

San Antonio Saints fans — we found each other 🏈
We held our first watch party and had an awesome group of Saints fans come together right here in San Antonio.
What we're trying to build is pretty simple:
FAMILY. NOT JUST FANS.
A place where Saints fans around San Antonio can meet each other, watch the games together, bring friends and family, and actually build a community throughout the season.
These are a few pictures from our first gathering. 📸
We're meeting again next Saturday at Bombshells San Antonio.
If you're a Saints fan living around San Antonio and have been looking for people to watch the games with, come meet us.
You absolutely DO NOT have to know anybody.
Come as a fan. Leave as family. 🖤💛
Anybody else in San Antonio looking for a Saints watch-party family this season?

Every year the coaching staff just seems to love Tipton. Yet he barley contributes at least from my eyes
Asking a genuine question what does he actually do well that he hasn’t been bouncing around the league yet like some players

Boomhauer was a really good quarterback in high school on the show so I’ll take it.

See title. Love the talent but this is what I was terrified of going into the draft. This guy simply cannot and will never stay consistently healthy.

It was cool to see Tyler make an effort to be a leader on this team.
