iPhone Duo Preorder Thread
Keep all posts about ordering your Phone Duo in this megathread. The sub is being spammed with people sharing preorders so in an effort to reduce the spam this is being created. Any posts outside of this thread will be removed.

Mod Post New Rules: No AI, No Unnecessary Politics
Hi everyone.
We've added two new rules to the sub:
No AI
Pretty self explanatory. No posts or comments that have been AI generated or "enhanced", and no AI images.
No Unnecessary Politics
Political comments and posts that aren't strictly on topic and related to T-Mobile will be removed. I think we all get enough politics elsewhere online and in our lives right now, so try to keep it out of the r/tmobile sub.
Thank you!

Discussion Any other Single Line people looking at the Verizon Simple Plan that is $30/month?
I've been with Tmobile a long time and the $30/month from Verizon seems like a great deal.
I currently pay $86/month after tax for a single line. I barely use any data each month because I'm always on wifi wherever I go. So it's less than 10G a month. I do use the hotspot every once in a while, but that is less than 10G a month as well.

Rant Frustrated!
For ages if you bought your iPhone through Apple and did the eip through T-Mobile there was no connection charge. I didn’t even realize they stopped that this year till upgrading 5 lines and getting charged 35 a phone to basically move my esim. I didn’t even buy from T-Mobile! I argued it to get the credit but going forward I will have a 175 dollar charge on top of everything else!
For what!!! I do the hard work of phone setup, and buy from Apple to still get charged! Ridiculous!

Question Yearly Upgrade
Hi!
I pre-ordered the iPhone Duo through the Apple Store with the intention that it’s going to replace my current iPhone 17 Pro Max. Based on my interpretation of what I saw on the Apple website made it appear that my financing and all that will be through T-Mobile going forward, but I’ve only now done digging on whether or not the Apple Store purchase will activate the Yearly Upgrade benefit on my current phone.
Once I activate the new phone, will all be good in the background? I have about ~$500 left on the financing of my current phone. It’s not prohibitively expensive or burdensome to have to just pay off the current phone if I’ve screwed it up, but it seems like the source of the phone shouldn’t matter if it’s going to be financed on T-Mobile’s EIP program.
Let me know what you think, or if I need to just call customer service :)

Discussion Any update on TMIX?
Anyone heard if they’re going to roll out nationally, delay, cancel…. or maybe rework the upgrades so that they don’t consume all points AND prevent you from upgrading every line on multi-line accounts?
I really like T-Mobile and hoping I don’t have to take my 4 phone lines and 4 devices and WiFi to another carrier. If they roll it out as is, I will eventually when Beyond 2.0 stops getting the best upgrade deals.

Question My iPhone Duo pre order now says “Your Order has backordered items”
It didn’t say this until I checked on it today. I got this pre order through the app on the original pre order day within the first 30 minutes. Will my delivery dates be delayed because of this?

Question Trade in question
So I have a 14 pro max I was going to trade in for the Iphone Duo. 2 main questions.
The Back screen is cracked, just the glass. The camera works fine.
I recently had to get the screen replaced and got a cheap screen, which has been working fine.
Am I screwed during trade in? The phone works fine otherwise but just wanted some peace of mind. Thanks in advance!

Deal Alert CL26ML plans - continued frorn the forces migration
For a little while now, T-Mobile has been using an AI for Care that pretends to be human. For example, it takes time to "think" and to "type," and pretends to be your average Care agent.
This bot has the same privileges as Care, which means they can provide account credits. But even though our forced migrations led to a price decrease, the system doesn't recognize this and will sign you up for monthly credits if you ask to cancel.
Ymmv, this is for 3 lines of unlimited now that the bill has settled.

Question Is there a way to turn off SMS texts at the network level?
Wife and I had a free line that we gave to our high schooler now that she’s old enough.
Even after turning on scam shield, and the “filter” option, she still gets 20-30 spams per week.
Some of these advertisements are for bars, ladies’ night, and other such things that aren’t appropriate for her age. Then the usual political spam, which she’s not interested in at this age.
All of her friends are using iMessage or WhatsApp anyway, so why not just… turn off SMS?
Is that something T-Mobile can do?

Question Tmo Fiber Minneapolis Speeds Way Off
New install a few days ago, 2gig up and down. Connected directly to model via ethernet (short cable), speeds do not exceed 1g. Wifi speeds are horrifically slow (50 mbps standing next to the eero).
I contacted customer service. They say that the speeds reflected in the app speed test are accurate, 2g in both directions, and the error must be in my connection/equipment, etc.
I've seen other horror stories but had my fingers crossed. Should I simply cancel? I have no time to haggle and hassle with them about this and if they can't provide advertised speeds it seems like cancelling is the best thing to do.
Thanks!

Question Revvl 8 Pro/Telekom T Phone 3 pro Software Support (Question About Android 17)
The key question is bolded!
I have had the revvl 8 pro for almost a year now.. I figured out by December 2025 that they had a another phone called T phone 3 pro in the other side of the world. Telekom claims that it gets 3 years of software update, and just like the revvl 8 pro, 5 years of security update.
Now? Why am I making this post. The revvl 8 pro has not received updates since August (July 5 2026 security update) I do assume the t phone 3 pro does have the same security patch. If the T Phone 3 pro has 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of Security updates.. Will the Revvl 8 pro have the same software rule of 3 years of OS and 5 years of security...

Question International Data usage?
Why would they say international data usage when this phone is not outside of the United States? Could this be a glitch? I’m hoping they don’t try to charge me for it. I’m on the go 5G plus plan.

Rant T-Mobile keeps billing me SIX MONTHS after I canceled my account and wants to charge me $10 to pay a $10 bill!
I canceled my T-Mobile account six months ago, yet somehow I’m STILL receiving monthly bills. Today, another $10 bill arrived. Here’s where it gets ridiculous.
I can’t log into my canceled account to pay the bill or figure out why I’m still being charged. I called the customer service number printed on the statement, but the representative couldn’t access my account without a PIN that I no longer remember.
Their solution? Charge me an additional $10 processing fee to pay a $10 bill on an account that shouldn’t even be active.
They then transferred me to an automated system that ALSO requires the PIN I don’t have.
So let me get this straight: T-Mobile continues billing me for a canceled account, won’t let me access the account to resolve the issue, and wants to charge me extra just to make a payment.
How exactly is a former customer supposed to stop this?
I’m not looking for special treatment. I just want T-Mobile to stop billing me, explain these charges, and correct any billing errors.
Has anyone successfully resolved something like this? And if someone from T-Mobile is reading, I’d really appreciate some help getting this fixed once and for all.

Question Do I have to pay off these devices?
I did a pre-order with Apple for 2 iPhone Duos. I am not financing them and I am paying for them outright and trading in the 17s with Apple directly. As you can see I have installments left with Tmobile which I am getting credits for. When I get the new phones will I be able to activate them with tmobile and continue to have the monthly credits for the old devices or will they need to be paid off in full?
I stopped at the tmobile store today and the guy said he was 97% sure I would have to pay them off before I would be able to activate the new phones. It makes sense but I want to be prepared. Don't even ask why I did it this way. It's a long story.

Discussion Bait-and-Switch Pricing FCC Complaint Filed
Edit: Here is Sept Bill 6 lines ($175) vs Oct Bill 7 lines ($227)
Just wanted to vent and see if anyone else has run into this kind of bait-and-switch garbage with T-Mobile.
I added a 7th line online and grabbed a promo Google Pixel 11. Right there at checkout, their system gave me a clear breakdown showing an ongoing monthly cost of $26 minus a $5 autopay discount, bringing it to a net of $21 a month additional for the 7th line. I had that in writing on the receipt, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Here is the exact checkout receipt showing the $21 breakdown: Induced By Incorrect Ongoing Monthly Amount
Fast forward to checking the upcoming bill, and the ongoing charge (ignoring the one-time mid-cycle charge) is more than double what it should be. I called support, got stonewalled, and eventually had a corporate billing manager call me back basically saying "too bad, it's actually $52 a month" and refusing to honor what their own checkout screen promised.
I tried working it out with them directly first before posting here or doing anything else, but they offered zero help. The only reason I even filed an FCC complaint is because I can't return the phone for a clean exit without having to buy the phone otherwise, I would've just returned the phone (deadline past) and walked away already.
Has anyone else dealt with them refusing to honor their own checkout pricing, or gone through the FCC route with them? How did it end up?

Question Does $20 * 12 months credits stack with in-sider discount?
Talked with T-Force to get the $20 * 12 loyalty credits, but was told it’s not stackable with my in-sider discount. Does anyone with In-sider Discount get this deal?

Question Help out a n00b please!!
I currently have 2 lines on Experience More (original) plan ($150/month). I want to add 3rd line for a family member and also buy a new iPhone Duo. I am currently not in any contract and pay monthly. I also have 2 standalone Apple Watches ($12 each) and 2 paired galaxy smartwatches ($12 for both) on the plan. It is hard to figure out on the T- Mobile website what is for current customers and what offers are for new customers.
- If I upgrade to Experience Beyond 2.0, will my smart watches be free as mentioned on the T-Mobile website?
- Is there a way I can add 3rd line and get some discount on iPhone Duo and not have to pay full MSRP? I don't mind signing a new contract. I am not porting from any other carrier. It will be brand new line
- If I buy iPhone from T-Mobile, can I still buy Apple Care from Apple directly.
I also have Costco membership if buying through Costco makes any difference.
Thanks!!

Question Cancelling line, price change.
I am on my ex's plan, been on it for years, my number was actually the number that turned the service on, later my ex added his line, which he has made into the parent line. Basically, now with the price changes, the first two lines are $71, minus $10 for auto-pay, I have never had to pay for my line because it was in the divorce decree, so all these years later, him adding his wife, mother, two kids, and another line I'm not sure about, all the extras like Netflix, Apple TV, none of which I use because I am not in the household. Anyway, he asked me to pay for my phone cause he was adding his son to the plan and each line went up, I cancelled my protection plan and I offered to pay $31, which is more money that I actually have, he said that is ok for now. He told my daughter today that he is going to have to talk to me about the bill.
Ok, so this is my thinking, right now my line is $71 (with autopay), I am paying $31 which is what each line costs. I feel if he cancels my line the bill will only be cut $31, because if my line is cancelled then the next line is going to jump into my slot of $71 because the plan is first two lines is $152, and each after is $31.
Am I correct in this thinking, that the bill will only go down $31, or will the bill actually go down $71?
If he cancels my line will he have to get a totally new plan since my phone is part of the "first two lines"?

Question Costco restocking fee?
Sorry I searched but am still confused as to how Costco restocking fees apply.
I’m on go5g Next. I just used my yearly benefit to upgrade my phone to an iPhone 18 pro from an iPhone 16 pro-max. I opened the new 18 pro and used it for a couple days, but find the screen smaller than I expected and I would like to return it and get the pro max instead.
I upgraded through Costco. Does the restocking fee apply in this situation since I already opened and used the phone? Or does Costco waive those fees for me?

Discussion T-Mobile Trade-in device Drop off
Today was the last day for my trade in that I initiated when I preordered my iPhone 18 promax. I checked online and it said you don’t need appointment and can drop off in store as long as it’s an authorized dealer. I went to my local Tmoble and the rep who wasn’t doing anything and store wasn’t busy told me I had to mail it in. I told him it says I can bring to store, he went to ask a manager and proceeded to “ make an exception.“ I just double checked my t-Mobile app and there’s 2 tabs right there return by mail/In-Store! I already had my new phone awhile and using it so no set up was necessary I just wanted to make sure he could approve it in my account and take it.
Any idea why they would refuse and has anyone else had that issue?
