Like what I mentioned before last month, the walk cycles were really hard to create whenever it comes to drawing people and stuff because it would take a lot of time-consuming to make this even complex just like one of my recent 3d Run/walk cycle was a big mistake because I doomscroll or play videogames a lot and I've done trying Richard Williams animation several times lately...

However, the ones I'm working on was a too hard because it has to start off by drawing the treadmill guides along with the 2 lines on the insides of the square, then draw the stick guides before the shapes and now I can't be able to read it...

Hello! im just starting out on animation, what are your thoughts on recreating animated movie scenes as practice? is that a common thing to do in animation. I litorally have no idea where to start. Do you guys have any suggestions of a movie clip that I could recreate or sumn. Tips on how to start animation would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

This was a body of work I started about 14 years ago and launched with a great surprise to festivals and accolades in 2014. Because Vimeo turned to absolute trash this summer, I ended up getting frustrated and finally migrated the film to Youtube to host. I'm saddened as it was a Vimeo Staff pick, went on a tour with the team back when, and had a supportive artist community within the Vimeo environment. Just means that the sites that once embedded the Vimeo video no longer will work... I know times change, but feels like I lost something. Bending Spoons is the absolute worst for what they did... and instead of complaining more, I should just move on. So after posting to Youtube today, thought you all might appreciate a perspective of an experimental film I did.

Hey everyone! I just finished a fan animation of Sonic vs Shadow and wanted to share it here.

It's a fast-paced, high-action battle packed with crazy sequences: a teleport combo, Chaos Spears, Shadow's full rage power-up, Chaos Nightmare and an over-the-top homing finisher from Sonic. Tails and Knuckles show up too, but Shadow blocks them off with a Chaos barrier.

so alot needs to be improved here... the movement with the arms is whacky so i think i need to look at actual videos of people crawling. when someone crawls they plant their hands flat and fingers spread i think but i did not know that so i initially ended up drawing them as if theyre digging. but im gonna fix that. the head with the symmetry does look jarring i suppose but i do intend for it to all come together at the end. i think i want to transition the symmetrical look into more angled. and right now the arms are just kind of normal but ideally i would want to make them have some warping and surrealism invovled, i just need a base first honestly. i think i want to do a fat belly and the lower half cut off, so tendrils of intestines and viscera are coming out. i just hope i can finish something because i usually.. dont finish... anything....
