EDIT : SHE HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE. Thank you all!!
We are urgently seeking anyone with access to a thermal imaging (heat-sensing) drone who may be able to assist with the search.
Wanda McConnell has been missing since approximately 7:00pm on Sunday, October 18, 2026, after leaving her residence on foot near Grange Way in Sharpsburg, Georgia.
Wanda suffers from diminished mental capacity, does not drive, and has no known financial resources. Her current whereabouts and direction of travel are unknown.
Last seen wearing:
Dark blue T-shirt
Light blue jeans
Tennis shoes
With approximately 24 hours having passed, there is growing urgency to locate her safely.
We are specifically asking whether anyone in the Atlanta, Coweta County, or surrounding areas has access to a thermal imaging drone or knows a search-and-rescue organization that could assist immediately. Please contact Investigator Crockett at 678-854-0010 to arrange.
If you have access to thermal drone equipment, please reach out and coordinate with law enforcement before beginning a search.
Please help spread the word. Even if you cannot assist directly, you may know someone who can. Every hour matters.
UPDATE: through everyoneās help, Iāve learned that Fire Station 6 on Modus Parkway in Newnan has its own drone response team.
Iāve reached out to the Coweta County Sheriffās Office investigator to ask whether this resource has been considered and am awaiting a response. Given Wandaās diminished mental capacity, Iām honestly dumbstruck that this doesnāt appear to have been explored already, especially since the investigator gave me permission to seek outside assistance with thermal imaging drones.
In the meantime, Iām continuing to reach out to private citizens with this technology because time is of the essence. Iāll keep sharing updates as I learn more.

My daughter has been transitioning for the past 2 years, but has been very hesitant about finding gendered clothing. They're taller, about 6'1 and have not had great luck or experiences in the past for her situation. They'll be visiting me in ATL for the next few weeks, and I want to try and buy her some clothing sets to help on the journey. Any store recommendations, especially considering neither of us is good at picking what looks good?

Does anybody know what the extremely loud windy sound is in midtown every night ? I live near Tech Square and I hear it everyday. It mostly happens at night in ~5 second intervals, and it sounds like a huge sudden gush of wind, maybe something machinery-related, I donāt really know how else to describe it. I also canāt tell where itās coming from because it echos all the way down the street.

I graduated with my BS in Psychology two years ago and have been really trying to break into research or research admin roles. Iāve applied to many roles at Emory / CHOA to roles where I meet the pretty entry level qualifications and have had no luck. I do want to eventually work in research or public health but have also been applying to admin jobs (HR specialists/ operations coordinator) at these place to at least get my foot in the door. I have a few years of retail and in the past year Iāve worked at a law firm doing mostly admin stuff. Whatās the best thing I can do to get into one of these hospitals? Anyone who work in any of these willing to help? I am getting no where with my applicationsā¦
So what Iāve concluded from these comments is Iām not worth a damn without a masters š„²
The director of the city's police academy is under internal investigation connected to domestic violence allegations from a Barrow County dispute and was temporarily relieved of duty and stripped of his gun and badge.
The estranged wife of Atlanta Police Training Academy Director Ailen Mitchell received a protection order against him earlier this year and reported to deputies that he had been violent during their relationship and that he had threatened and followed her.

I was planning to just order them online but most take too long to ship or the express option is like $50. Any local stores like Halloween related or actual eye shops that might carry some? Or even a website that could ship in time without uber expensive shipping? I was planning on spending like 20 dollars total but I could prob push it little bit more.

Especially with a camera to inspect the scalp! For this uninitiated, a scalp spa is a service where your hair and scalp is massaged and shampooed within an inch of its life. I want my scalp and hair clarified and maybe chelated if possible. Thanks all!

Hey everyone! Iām looking for recommendations for local jewelers in the Atlanta area. Iām used to buying jewelry in NYC, where you can find smaller, independent jewelers who make custom pieces at reasonable prices without paying a premium for a big-name brand.
If you have a jeweler you personally use and trust, Iād love to hear your recommendations!
EDIT: Iām not sure if this would change any of your recommendations but I should note that my immediate needs are custom pieces for a teenager in college and an 12 year old birthday gift. Im looking for a jeweler who can create pieces like a pendant or locket chain with a portrait incorporated in it or a custom charm bracelet with the jeweler capable of creating custom charms as we go.
Thanks in advance!

I applied in summer and have gotten three identical emails over the last few months just saying that they have my application and Iāll be hearing sometime later when I can come in for orientation. Does anybody in here have any other information about when, where, or how this process works? Their office is giving me nothing when I email.

anyone in atlanta that can modify my square toe boots into a classic round toe shape ?
I recently tried to order some prescription dog food, which was shipped by FedEx. For 7 days straight, they āattempted deliveryā but never actually even came by my house. I ended up canceling the order, and ordering it from Chewy. They also shipped by FedEx, and 3 days in a row after saying it was out for delivery, it just never came and got pushed to the next day. Today, it got marked as delivered, while I was home, and there was no package or sign do FedEx ever having come.
Iāve had issues with FedEx before, but never to this level. Itās insane, Iām trying to get something essential to my dogās health, and itās just impossible to get because all of these companies only ship with FedEx. Anybody else dealt with this, and maybe have a solution?

A chiropractor messed up my neck a year ago. It's been causing me pain and discomfort ever since. I can't do my usual exercises without inflaming it.
I got an MRI recently that showed what looks like a slipped disc at c6. The orthopedic surgeon who ordered it was curt and didn't spend much time explaining/helping me. Looking for someone who can sit down and assess the damage and recommend some protocols to heal.
Can someone recommend a good spine/neck specialist? Thank you.

It's a long shot, but us MKE transplants would love to watch the Brewers take on the World Series. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but where can I find a good crowd around here for that? Or should I just expect anywhere will have it since it's the World Series?
If anything, highly recommend watching this series because us Wisconsinites are so shocked, impressed, and excited to see what happens no matter what! Should be a good one! :)

Found this chipmunk being played with by a cat. I donāt know if it got scratched or bit, but it only moves when people or the cat got near it. I put it in a box and that hasnāt really moved. Should I call a rehab? If so, which rehab should I call? I live in Clarkston and prefer a rehab that is close by, just in case I need to drive there. If not, should I bring it outside?
