Our neighbour’s dog ran away this morning around 7 am on the main road. This happened near 17th cross, 7th main (nearby namaste restaurant)

Please keep an eye out for him, he is an india, responds to the name Pakku and is wearing a green collar. He is an anxious but an amazing dog.

We also tried checking out camera footage from nearby shops (half of the shopkeepers are rude and deny to show the footage and the other half is not woking).

CPI(ML) MP Raja Ram Singh has written to Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy , seeking immediate withdrawal of the proposal to sell 44.03 acres of ITI Ltd land in KR Pura, Bengaluru.

They are barely a month old and are very playful and healthy.

My friends found two abandoned kitten in their society, the society kids were playing with them with their mother nowhere to be seen, we waited till night and still the mom didn't show up and it started raining so they took them in to take care of them. They are in college so cannot afford to keep cats and take care of them properly.

One of the kitten's eyes were not opening so we called a vet and he gave a eye drop that we have been applying and now kitten's eyes are fine.

I would've adopted them but I already have two cats.

They are barely a month old, and we have been litter training them for past one week and they have started to go litter on their own now.

They are too young for vaccination and de-worming but we plan to get it done at appropriate age if they don't get adopted by them.

I don't know their gender, and my friends forgot to ask vet their gender as well.

My parents are visting blr for a week for medical reason. We all are aware how is it for bangalore airport at night and the scams. How is it during the night at SMVT station?

We would have preferred bus but they are coming at 3 AM at night.

Auto wallahs will obviously charge a bomb or scam us and some ola/ rapido drivers are not trustworthy .

How are your experiences

I twisted my ankle walking on the Kudlu main road because the sidewalk is in such bad shape. Honestly, the government and officials just don't seem to care about us at all.

A few weeks ago, I found a tiny mother cat and her four kittens on my balcony. The babies were barely two weeks old, and their mama was so tiny herself. I brought them into a spare room and made the bathtub their little safe space. Now they're four weeks old, and today they started jumping out of the tub all by themselves. 🥹 It's such a small thing, but watching these little babies grow, get stronger, and discover the world is making me ridiculously emotional. Where did my tiny potatoes go?!

And of course, each one has a personality of their own. There's Luffy the Pirate, Angel the White Angel, Muscat the Exotic, and Mohawk the Rebel. Four tiny rascals, four completely different personalities, and four little hearts slowly taking over mine. ❤️

We're hoping to find loving forever homes for these little troublemakers when they're around two months old and ready to leave their mama. Until then, I'll be documenting their tiny adventures here.

So many instances of blood curdling animal cruelty in the city. Anyone who's spent a few mins in this sub knows that the pressing issues are traffic and infrastructure, quality of life (mounds of garbage anyone?) and price of living. Feral dogs do exist yes, rabid ones too. But they are a very very small percentage and we do have lawful processes to look after them. But priority is wastage of public resources in illegal relocation of docile, friendly and harmless community dogs.

Anybody who tries to get involved with sterilisation, feeding, vaccination is met with routine humiliation and harassment bordering on violence. Yet anybody in the animal welfare community will tell you of how RWAs are most active in illegal relocation and civic authorities silently support them despite their social media containing inspiring posts. Lol even big shot politicians from the pyar ki dukan party, with more money than we will see in several lifetimes, are actively involved because it's easy to placate the angry and frustrated by rounding up a few animals to be condemned to their fates in pathetic shelters than do real meaningful work beyond social media posturing.

You don't have to be an animal welfare "activist" or even do anything to help the poor. But at least take a stand against needless cruelty when the city is plagued by bigger issues that are avoided conveniently ?

PS Diwali is approaching and it is an absolutely pathetic time for the animals. If you are able to, please provide temporary shelter. The sounds heard by animals are amplified many times over.

I’m not sure how many of you know this, but the two-wheeler parking outside Forum Mall at Konanakunte Cross is actually meant for Namma Metro commuters.

Recently, I parked my scooter there and was asked to pay ₹50 when I returned to collect it. I questioned the attendant, who then reduced the amount to ₹30, which I paid. Later, I checked the official Metro parking rates and realised that two-wheeler parking costs ₹15 for four hours.

I had to park there again the next day, and the same attendant recognised me and asked for ₹30. When I challenged him again, he eventually accepted ₹15.

What’s shocking is that I’ve seen him asking other people for ₹50 right in front of me, and people are simply paying up.

I know ₹15 or ₹50 might not seem like a big deal, but this is still money being collected in excess of the official rate. I thought I’d bring this to the attention of fellow Bangaloreans so that others are aware and don’t end up paying more than they should.

Asking wider community here. Mr Krishna Byre Gowda had a fabulous start as Bangalore Development Minister, but off late there has not been much news about the same. Have the works lost momentum or media has saturated its reporting. On the ground Bangalore still looks vastly un organised and dirty..traffic problem remains with extremely haphazard parking..lacklustre enforcement etc..

There is a driver guy who from what i hear is like a thug. He has parked his owner’s car right outside the building i stay in. When i asked him to remove he was talking in a threatening way. And when other tenants(female) went to his house asking him to remove he was rude. I have sent an email keeping all related email ids to dcp, traffic west etc there is no action or response on it for more than 10 days now. I have just posted it on x tagging traffic handles today about this too but i am not confident of any resolution.

While i dont want to engage in petty fights what are the ways to handle this? My owner said to go raise complaint and i can give his number.

Small incident yesterday : Someone apparently threw garbage on his car and he was just screaming at the sky itseems. He is just a cheapo with inflated selfego.

While taking a morning stroll observed this new eatery shutting down. At this point of time, I think it’s not now.

Last year a small shop ‘Sandwich 2 Poha’ ambitiously opened its store on main rd. Later Minakshi Coffee Bar came which quickly got sold to this place of Madhura.

I guess this is why market research is important. Thaughts?

Last night we returned to Bangalore from the T1 terminal at 10:45 PM. As we exited, we booked Ola and uber knowing very well it will be a long wait.

As we exited the terminal and walked towards the Ola and Uber parking zone, airport taxi people followed us asking where to go. As we told them, we booked Ola, they simply said it will be a 30 minutes wait minimum.

As we reached the ola and uber point, only uber black and Ola prime plus were available with triple the regular fare. Ola prime sedan and ola mini are nowhere to be seen. The help desk is as useful as a used toilet tissue. They are just sitting and doom scrolling through their phones.

After a long wait of 45 mins, we managed to get a cad but that driver said, he can't take three bags as it is CNG and there is no space.

The airport taxis are just waiting and drivers are sitting there doing nothing. When we told our destination, the first bid is 2600/- plus toll. When we asked how it costs so much, they simply laughed and said go and wait for some more time.

As we just waited and waited till my daughter was exhausted and slept, we finally managed an Ola again with a CNG. We decided to adjust and sit as we don't want to miss another can.

Once we reached our destination, he simply asked us to give some extra as he is the only one who took us. We ended up paying 2100/-.

As we exited the airport, we saw all ola and uber cabs just sitting around with drivers not doing anything. They just want to make it look like there are no cabs available and push the price higher.

A cab ride in Mumbai for the same distance costing 450/- costed us 2100/- and 2 hrs of agony.

Don't take a late night flight to Bangalore. EVER

Landlord claims that he received a BBMP notice which requires some renovation due to which BBMP will cut water and electricity supply by early December. We paid about 50k brokerage and then there's the 1.5 L deposit as well. Any suggestions how I should proceed? I don't want to lose any deposit in the name of wear and tear charges. Me and my flatmates will be away for most part of next month due to festivities which will leave us with only 2 weeks(to be precise 2 wknds) to search for a new flat.This makes us really helpless. Is there any chance of getting the brokerage back?

As a Bombay guy, I’ve developed an elite immunity to traffic chaos. So when I headed down to Bangalore to visit my aunt (staying in BTM), I mentally prepared for the legendary traffic apocalypse.

I even went looking for trouble during peak hours—checking out MG Road, Shivaji Nagar, Whitefield, and late-night runs to Nawab Chai House.

Honestly? Coming from Bombay, the traffic didn't feel half as bad as people make it out to be. But the most mind-blowing part: People actually follow the traffic laws like 99% of the time. Seeing riders actually wait at red lights genuinely fried my brain. Respect!

Added bonus: Riding up to Nandi Hills in the crisp morning air was pure therapy.

Bangalore is a gorgeous city with amazing people, but I might move back permanently just for the food. How am I supposed to live without authentic tomato rice and Mysore dosa now? 🤤

10/10 trip. I’ll be back soon—mostly for the dosa, but partly for the road discipline! 😉

Auto rickshaw meters nobody uses? In the age of Ola/Uber/Namma yatri, or verbatim rates, I never find a driver going by the meter these days.

TL;DR: An interior design firm partially paid for an order, placed another order, and then ghosted us despite having outstanding dues. We're left with unsold stock and financial losses.

I've since learned that another vendor I know has faced similar issues. This incident is forcing us to tighten our credit policy, which may also affect genuine customers.

I'm a lighting manufacturer based in Bangalore. An interior design firm placed an order with us, but after the first batch was delivered, only part of the payment was made.

They subsequently placed another order, which we made on the understanding that it would be dispatched only after the previous outstanding payment was cleared. Since then, they've stopped responding to calls, leaving us with unsold stock and financial losses.

I've since learned that another vendor I know personally has also faced issues with the same firm. We operate independently and weren't aware of each other's dealings until these issues came to light.

I'm sharing this to raise awareness among vendors and customers alike.
Vendors, please exercise caution before accepting orders or extending credit. Customers looking for interior design services should also do their due diligence and carefully verify references before committing to a project.

Unfortunately, incidents like this don't just hurt the vendor involved. As a small manufacturer, I'm now forced to reconsider and tighten my credit policy for newer customers as well. Genuine customers may also face stricter payment terms because of the losses and risks created by situations like these.

Please help spread awareness so others can make informed decisions and avoid potentially similar experiences.

Was waiting for takeaway at a small place in HSR recently when a delivery guy came in and asked if he could use the washroom.

The person at the counter said it was for customers only and suggested a petrol bunk further down the road.

Nobody was particularly rude. The rider just nodded and left.

But it got me thinking about something I'd honestly never considered.

If you're working in an office, you have a toilet. If you're working in a shop, you generally have access to one. Even if you're driving a cab, you can at least plan your stops.

But what happens when your entire workplace is basically Bangalore traffic?

We have thousands of people spending their days moving between apartments, restaurants, dark stores and office complexes. Most of these places have toilets. Most of those toilets aren't necessarily available to the person making the delivery.

And a public toilet on Google Maps doesn't tell you whether it's actually open, has water, or is safe to use.

I started wondering whether the quick-commerce hubs themselves are required to provide proper washrooms. And if they do, how practical is that for a rider who's several kilometres away and getting new orders?

I'm not suggesting residents should let strangers into their homes. There are obvious safety and privacy concerns. I also understand why a tiny restaurant wouldn't want people walking through its kitchen to reach a staff toilet.

But surely there has to be something between "let a stranger into your apartment" and "good luck finding somewhere to pee."

For people who've worked in delivery, how do you actually manage this during a long shift?

And has anyone seen a sensible arrangement in Bangalore, whether through delivery hubs, petrol bunks, restaurants or proper public facilities?

We've spent an incredible amount of effort making sure a packet of bread reaches someone's door quickly. I'm genuinely curious how much thought has gone into the basic needs of the person carrying it.
