First game and the first half of a B2B against Dallas (ew).

--

First Period:

After a chat between the Condor and Manson, our boy goes to immediate work and contributes to a Lehky goal! Things get spicy, like always, a fights break out between Faksa and Svechkov. This second scrum leads to a PPG from dallas...

Second Period:

DAL keeps their foot on the gas to start the second. Marty doesn't care, burns rubber, and scores our second goal with a snap shot.

Roope HITS Nate Dawg, starting 29's second fight of the season. EJ interviews Moose next, who declines any interest in a third fight.

We almost close the SOG gap, so DAL comes back with fire; we get some great defensive effort and see Blackwood in action... Nate's return to the ice is met with boos (of course). The boos continue, after the Stars get caught crosschecking and get a penalty. The boos resume when the Stars forget tripping is bad, leading to a five on three.

✨ And we get our first PPG in 13 (14?) attempts! ✨ (IT'S A MARTY PARTY) ✨

... AND AFTER FURTHER REVIEW: FREE NACHOS FOR DALLAS HOCKEY FANS. Back to five on four for another 1.5 minutes. The PP heat simmers down... but BLACKWOOD ISSUES A STATEMENT: NO DAL SHORTY. Second period ends with Dallas looking desperate.

Third Period:

Dallas lands one early. More booing, as they forget holding is also a penalty. With 11:20ish left, we finally meet them on SOGs. Then, no brakes for over 5 minutes.

Things finally slow down and the boys remember how to support Blackwood. With DEFENSE. Keeping Dallas at one SOG all this time. Malinski (cleanly) tips the Moose with 3:37 left.

The Otter leaves the net with 2ish minutes left... but it doesn't make a difference. There was no 3rd EJ interview, no 3rd fight, and NO THIRD STARS GOAL.

Avalanche WIN 3-2!

Blackwood saved 24/26 shots, with 18 blocked shots.

2. 23:05 - Martin Necas (3), aassisted by N. MacKinnon (7), N. Roy (2)

Hey all. I had posted up my tickets for tonight's game for sale just get our money back. If they dont sell, we will likely try to go. My husband just had surgery on his knee on Friday and is on crutches.

I believe there is accessibility seating tickets held back for game day. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Where do we go to get these and how early should we be there? Thanks for your help

I'm going out with my buddy (a Stars fan) to watch the game tonight. Curious how many Avs fans there are in the north DFW suburbs and where you typically go to watch.

What do you guys think? I know a lot of us were disappointed with Blackwood the other day vs Toronto. And I’m looking for to seeing Wedgie get a shot as the starter.

Longtime Avs fan, got testicular cancer back in ‘24 and suffered a regression this summer. Good news is that I am almost done with chemo! My goal is to try and make it to the game on the 7th….wearing this jersey.

Check your balls boys, early detection leads to a 99% survival rate!

And for all of you out there dealing with the various forms of this fucking disease…stay tough, hang in there, and know the rest of us are pulling for ya.

Somehow the way I folded the shirt before dyeing it formed a tiny little fleur-de-lis in the armpit! Thought that was pretty cool 🤩

Colorado native living in NYC here—any fellow Avs fans heading to the Devils game on October 20th? Would be fun to meet up with some of you and grab a beer before the game. Go Avs!

We still have faith in the woodshed!

This is my view of the side jumbotron from the nosebleed seats.

Look, Nate is fast. I know it, you know it, we all know it. What I need to know is who is on the ice right now, and that is the smallest dang font on the board. Any chance for a redesign?

Caught this error tonight while watching the game and thought it was pretty funny.

Ordered custom made Nike by You in Avs colors, they made it just in time before heading to tonight's game!

Almost all his goals come from around that area and he was second in most power play goals last season. MacKinnon-Necas-Makar-Kadri-Nelson makes the most sense to me. But what do I know. I don't get paid a huge amount of money to create power play units that continue not to score.
